《Forsaking Reality》Chapter 179: Strength of the Moon Cloud Corps

"What kind of energy is this? How come it's so powerful?!" The elder was astounded, respectful, envious, fearful… his mind was all over the place at this moment. He just couldn't comprehend what kind of power this young boy could harness.
"This… is the true potential of my combined bases. A mixture of the energy from the Mortal Realm, Demon Realm, Beast Realm, Fairy Realm, and the Plant Realm, I shall call this the Infinite Realms Power." Akata was pleased with himself as he finally tested out this new energy. A multicolored shadow wafted from Akata's body as he hovered in the air, flapping his translucent wings periodically. This shadow was what caused that disturbance in nature and the unrest in the elders eyes.
Ever since Akata had combined his cultivation bases he kept feeling as if many new possibilities were waiting for him to unlock. One secret he theorized about happened to come true, the combined energy of all the cultivation bases. This was his natural power yet for some reason it took some time for him to unlock its use. But now that he did, it felt wonderful. He could perceive the world in a new fashion and interact with it on a whole new fundamental level.
That was because Akata's power came from the combination of the energy of The Five Realms. Most beings and objects were created on the basis of the workings from one of the five realms- Mortal, Beast, Demon, Plant, or Fairy. Of course these weren't the only Realms just the main five. And Akata's whole being was a combination of all five. He could be considered a god-like entity. His understanding of the workings nature could not be surpassed by normal people in his generation and neither could his accomplishments be measured.
Akata rotated his golden rune and infused his Infinite Realms Power within. Pulling his arm back Akata leapt forward and punched out. The elder being completely flabbergasted by the sudden energy outburst from Akata completely forgot about escaping. It wasn't until Akata lunged that he remembered he had to run away. But it was already too late.
They were constantly within 70 meters of each other, which was negligible considering their strengths. Akata was already upon the elder by the time one could blink.
Craack! The elder's chest caved in while he was smashed into the ground ruthlessly. The surrounding area looked as if a small meteor came crashing down to cause a wide crater to appear. The body of the elder in the center.
This was Akata's new skill he developed while testing theories with his own runes. This skill, Folding Annihilation, was used in conjunction with his gold rune. It was a variation of Astral Obliteration but instead of it being a ranged attack, it was strictly melee focused. Akata harnessed the energy of the gold rune to flow through his body, increasing his strength in an instant. Unfortunately his body could only endure so little of the energy of the rune so he could only access it for a moment before putting it away.

But that one moment was all he needed once he made contact. The amount of control Akata used to release a bit of the massive amount of energy from the gold rune and send it to a part of his body and cut it off as quick as him making contact in the middle of a fight took as much of a toll on the mind as trying to explain it.
"And read it…"
The force of this skill was astounding. Not only did it take the bit of extreme energy but it also compressed it further. This was the 'Folding' aspect of it. Thus, one could imagine the end result of someone at the receiving end of this attack.
The elder laid motionless on the ground yet he was not dead yet. His eyes were unfocused but they were indeed open and he was aware, just barely however. Akata revoked his aura and sauntered over to the dying man.
Akata could tell the elder only had a few moments left. The blow Akata had given him was a direct hit, while the elder was already severely injured from the attack before. The inside of his body at the moment resembled strawberry pudding, nothing but mushed up organs.
The elder felt a figure approach and slightly turned his gaze in that direction. He couldn't see who he was talking to or if anyone was really there but he spoke anyways.
"You… fr-fr-fright… ning… being… heh hehe… *cough COUGH* Blood… Saint… will still-" The elder's words were cut short… along with his neck. Akata collected the elder's things and turned back around.
"Blood Saint? Who is this guy? From my guesses he has to at least be a Mid Second Ranker." Akata felt a headache coming on. He was just too weak.
The reason Akata guessed the Blood Saint was at least a Mid Second Ranker was because of two things.
The elder in charge here got utterly thrashed yet still believed in the Blood Saints prowess. Ryu was his periphery disciple.
The main reason was the second. Ryu was considered really talented in this region of the continent and for him to only be a periphery disciple meant his master had to have many more genius disciples that were more capable. Thus the master himself would have to be really strong. Akata didn't doubt if the master turned out to be a High Second Ranker.
Pushing the matter to the back of his head for now Akata thought about his fight just now. "My Infinite Realms Power is much more powerful than I thought. It doesn't increase my strength by much but it's capable of altering others powers. When my power interacts with others, it sort of disrupts their flow of energy." Feeling jubilant, Akata sped up back to the Rock Bottom Sect.
Upon his return, the Moon Cloud Corps were still eliminating the disciples of the sect at a fast pace.
Mindlife was the most ferocious of them all. A light fog surrounded his figure that when it encompassed an enemy, they would start to lose control of their senses while their minds corroded into nothingness, turning them into mindless beings.

Mindlife just had to stand in one spot and he could kill most of the people here but he didn't. He wanted to see the ability of the other members.
Life Ayy was the most outstanding, he was the third strongest of the Moon Cloud Corps with a strength that was at the 9th Grade First Rank. He could easily dominate most people under the Second Rank and, likewise with Akata and Mindlife, nobody in the Rock Bottom Sect could stop him.
Mindlife also noticed this person. Being a Dragonknight he already knew of his identity.
Life Ayy
Real Name: Harbringer
Strength: Peak 9th Grade First Rank
Weapon: Sword
Specialty: Moonlight Inner Element and Fire Core Element
Mindlife watched Harbringer silently burn his enemies to death with a blue-white flame. His fire didn't crackle or hiss, completely noiseless. All that could be heard were the wails and screeching of the members of the Rock Bottom Sect.
Harbringer used to be a teacher at the sect but now he was one of the members of the Cloud Corps. He was only about 20 something but his intelligence and unique skill made him a force to be reckoned with.
Turning his attention to the other members of the Moon Cloud Corps, Mindlife lightly nodded in approval.
Life Bee
Real Name: Penny
Strength: 8th Grade First Rank
Weapon: Morphing needles
Specialty: Medicine and Star Inner Elements
Life Sea
Real Name: Bearlee
Strength: 8th Grade First Rank
Weapon: Mace
Specialty: Softstone and Darkwater Inner Elements
Life Ddee
Real Name: Co'verr
Strength: 8th Grade First Rank
Weapon: Fan
Specialty: Sound and Storm Inner Elements
To be apart of the Cloud Corps one had to be adept at killing, assassination, and a plethora of other things. Only the top geniuses of the sect, minus the elders, even had a chance of joining. And not even most of the top geniuses were qualified in the end.
One common trait amongst the members of the Cloud Corps was that they all scored rather high in the cabin trials. The Moon Cloud Corps especially scored high in the 9th Cabin Trial, the trial of mental fortitude.
Akata himself was ranked number one on that trial.
Arriving at the battlefield, Akata didn't meet up with the others but concealed himself and watched. With his skill in the Illusion Inner Element, this was a simple task.
Each member of the Cloud Corps had a special talent and were very unique from others. Each of their skills differed from others yet all could be used to assassinate.
"Those bluish-white flames are completely silent and barely give off any energy. It would be hard to detect them even if you were prepared." Akata spread out his formless nature sense and rotated his crimson rune. His soul power mixed in with his nature energy. Using this, Akata could get a more "in depth" look at the abilities of everyone.
"It seems Harbringer is capable of fusing the Moonlight Inner Element and Fire Core Element. I wonder how it exactly works." Although Akata could use his soul power to peer into the Elements someone used, he couldn't figure out how exactly they used those Elements together.
Also, he couldn't identify an Element he wasn't familiar with himself. The Moonlight Inner Element was an uncommon Element but Akata had long ago gotten insight of it through his past movement technique the Lunarsun Steps. He had to comprehend the Moonlight and Sunlight Inner Elements then. One also couldn't forget the plethora of elemental rune cores located in his soul region…
"Ah! Using the needles through the Star Inner Element. There's another element mixed in but I can't tell what it is… must be the Medicine Element." "Bearlee's fighting style is so fluid and overbearing at the same time! I can sense the Darkwater Inner Element and something similar to a mixture of the Water and Earth Core Elements, so that should be the Softstone Element. Interesting very interesting indeed."
Akata was completely enamored when it came to fighting. He appreciated the complexity and skill associated with it. Since he was on the journey to reach the pinnacle, he would gladly take the time to thoroughly observe others fight.
"I wonder what that 'sound storm' is brewing up? Woah what's going on? What kind of…" Akata looked over at Co'verr. A storm that covered half the battlefield had slowly been forming. As it did, the power it released made the remaining members of the Rock Bottom Sect start attacking each other out of fear. This technique that caused mass hysteria was truly too fearsome.
Akata was astounded at the combinations of the Elements these people used. He wanted to know so bad how they used their attacks and skills. But they would need better opponents.
Since the rest of the members of the Rock Bottom Sect were killing each other due to the strange storm, the Moon Cloud Corps silently pulled back from the battlefield.
Akata appeared in front of Mindlife and the others in a flash of black light. He nodded his head towards the group, "Good work, no need to clean up let's continue on our way."
And just like that, the story of a sect suddenly being annihilated in a single day spread. Nobody knew who did it or how many were involved but they had to be powerful. The only 'evidence' left was a storm that was nearly faded away. When someone approached too close to the storm they became fearful and attacked others.
But by then, the Moon Cloud Corps were long gone. Leaving no trace to their whereabouts.

Pocket Dungeon Lite
Based on the Pocket Dungeon original novel made by Stuckin (I asked for his permission beforehand). I do not know if this could count as a fanfiction as I made up many elements on the go so, for now, I will list this as an original but if Stuckin-sama would like me to change it I will be fine with doing so. This is somewhat of a self-insert but I made sure not to make the MC to OP. Also, the creator of the cover is Vurguy I tried to contact him to ask for permission but couldn't due to technical issues please go support him on Deviant Art and I don't own the picture so if he wants me to take it down than I am completely okay with doing so. As I am an improving author, I am glad to receive any constructive criticism or critical review I just hope that everyone will give me a chance before they yell at me for something or at least tell me what made them angry so I know what the issue is and can figure out how to deal with it. For now, my schedule is 1-2 chapters a week and if I am busy with either work or school 1-3 chapters every 2 weeks. I expect a bunch of chapters at the beginning around 5 or so and for me to continue from there. I will try my best to keep some chapters in storage for any time where I can't write for whatever reason. I will continue to change this part of the synopsis if anything changes in my update schedule. - From a thoughtful Author Pocket Dungeon is a widespread interstellar game that has captivated the attention of many races and civilizations. Nowadays in the 2300s anyone not living under a rock would grow up with a dungeon and learn to manage it over time as they make mistakes along the way. But as all things go there is always an exception and this exception can be found in Nadezhda Ledopad who had an overprotective family that didn't let him interact with anything but those they deemed worthy and safe. This overprotectiveness caused them to forbid him from gaining a pocket dungeon as they knew with his intelligence and specialties in certain fields he would become a strong dungeon master, quickly. This was something his family was very much against as they knew that his competitiveness and duty to maintain the Ledopad family's reputation would push him to win in the competitions that he would inevitably get invited too. This all changed when Nadezh graduated high school and moved to the Celestial Plane capital star as a Prodigal student in planetary conservation (major) and revival of species through DNA transferal (minor). His brother in all but blood Tet schemed to get him into Pocket Dungeons when they got there as no one would keep Nadezh from playing. Nadezh excited to join his peers in this famous game looked forward to doing so. But with this one decision, many futures changed and the Fates laughed as people of strong destinies meet together on this plane. Warning - This will probably contain LGBT+ relationships. You have been warned, I will not tolerate stupidity to the ninth degree in the comment section and I hope that people can be logical enough to GO AWAY if they don't like this kind of thing. If you don't feel comfortable with mature or explicit scenes I will put a warning in the chapters or parts with such and I just wanted all of you to know that this will be a long novel as with most novel I will write in the future so don't expect a deep romantic relationship anytime soon.
