《Forsaking Reality》Chapter 143: Supreme Existence
Advertisement
It was dark and desolate, nothingness reigned supreme in this region of empty space. There were no stars, planets, moons, asteroids, or anything else. The vast expanse was completely devoid of anything in existence. There were no signs of life or death, no signs of yin or yang, and no signs of black or white. It was just a field of blankness.
Akata was floating within this field of blankness, his mind clear as no thoughts could come to his head right now. He felt empty, like a shell waiting to be filled with its host. His expression blank, no signs of emotions flitted across his face as he just floated in the empty area.
Suddenly a voice rang out in the empty expanse filling the desolate place with a grand and astounding energy. This voice alone seemed to be able to make worlds with just the sound of its voice. It wasn’t booming like a man’s, or soft like a woman's, but was more calm and reserved like a scholar or an observant. The sound of the voice filled the entire empty region of space and didn’t leave one spot untouched. When the voice descended, Akata seemed to be jolted awake as if filled with a new sense of energy, as if a spark of life found its way into his very being.
“Let planets arise; filled with mountains, rivers, plains, clouds, and dirt.” All of a sudden countless rocks formed within the vast blankness. These planets were very normal save for one that happened to be directly in the center. It was utterly huge to behold and carried the sense that all other planets were beneath it.
“Let the stars illuminate my world.” Bang! Numerous stars sprang up around the planets and in the previously blank and dark space. They lit the space up and caused a shocking scene of a myriad of lights to appear in one’s eyes. The star that illuminated the centermost planet was equally gigantic and blazed with a fiery white light.
“Let there be moons, asteroids, debris and mists that cloud my universe.” Universal debris appeared one after the other to fill the regions of space that were left blank. Although it was a small touch it was what was needed to bring this scene to life and completeness.
“Allow for the energy of life and immortality to be guided under the practice of my power.” As this was said, nothing seemed to actually happen. Everything stilled looked the same. It really did seem that this command had no purpose.
Akata was watching all of this happen with glued eyes. He was astounded by this scene. Even more so astounded than his vision of Astral Obliteration being first used. Although he couldn’t see anything occur, deep within his soul he could feel power stirring within his very being. He unconsciously looked at the giant planet in the center of the universe and couldn’t help but feel attracted to it. There was a power calling out to him from this planet that seemed to rule over this whole universe. This power resonated with his own soul as if it belonged to him. Akata had no other feelings besides the desire to obtain this power otherwise he would feel incomplete.

This power started off at the centermost planet and then rapidly spread throughout the whole universe. As if spread countless beings could be seen being born out of thin air. These beings all possessed a level of formidable might. The closer the one’s were to the centermost planet the more powerful they seemed, yet they were rarer in number. The first being to be ‘born’ was actually standing atop the planet looking up rather confused. After this being was ‘born’ countless others started appearing.
The stronger one’s were born first and closer to the center of the universe but were less numerous. The weaker one’s were ‘born’ farther away but were numerous. All these beings were powerful nonetheless and all of them were very different from one another. All of these beings had dazed and confused looks on their faces and were looking up in the sky.
Almost as if Akata were born with them too, his face showed confusion as well. He looked up into the sky as well. What he saw made his eyes almost pop out. There was a humongous figure above the universe in a white robe looking down on the universe. There was a strange mist-like substance covering this figures body that blocked out any features that one could use to identify the gender of this person.
Seeing the creation that was just made the figure nodded their head in satisfaction and then addressed the beings that were just born. “I am the master and creator of this universe. You are all of my creations and I have bred life unto you all. This will be my first universe within my territory. I shall call it the Aurasoul Domainworld. I have bestowed upon this Domainworld the power I comprehended throughout all these eras and used to rise to my current level, It is called the Aurasoul Spirit Art. This shall be the art that you all train in to rise in strength and achieve immortality. Once you have achieved immortal lives, create your own arts and cultivation techniques. Grow strong and well.”
The figure in the sky waved their hand and a grayish light appeared in the sky. It was enormous to the point that it covered the entire universe. Suddenly numerous beams of lights shot out from the gray light in the sky and merged into the bodies of the beings.
The largest and first being to be born that stood atop the giant planet received the largest beam of light. As he did, his eyes became clearer and sharper. He immediately kowtowed down towards the figure in the sky. “I thank you creator for your gift and will lead this universe to greatness.” Clearly he knew his role after receiving this beam of light.
After that the other beings started to kowtow as well towards the figure in the sky and let out various praises. Even Akata kowtowed toward the figure in the sky. This wasn’t because he received the Aurasoul Spirit Art like the other beings but because of the tremendous respect for the power this figure wielded. He had just seen an entire universe get created like it was nothing, how could he not respect this kind of power?
The figure in the sky nodded their head once again in satisfaction and then disappeared along with the massive gray light. Akata stayed on the ground just like the rest of the beings. This was a great amount of respect towards this almighty figure.

“You can stand up now.”
Akata’s eyes snapped wide open and his body stiffened before jerking up. He looked up and saw a figure in white robes in front of him. He couldn’t make out the face but from the robes he could tell that this had to be the same figure that was in the sky just a few moments ago.
‘Is this person talking to me?’ Akata was deeply confused. Wasn’t this a vision of the past? Akata had experienced many things already and had instantly understood that the events he was seeing happened very very long ago. So then, how could this figure be addressing him? He looked around to look for the being that this figure could be addressing.
“No. I am addressing you right there. I can tell that I didn’t create you in the past and that you’re a cultivator from in the future. I actually sensed a change in my memories and directly sought you out from this past vision you’re having. Haha.” The figure laughed lightly.
‘This figure went into a vision from the past of another person?’ Akata couldn’t even begin to think about what kind of power was needed to accomplish something like this. Akata looked as confused as ever.
“Relax. I’m quite curious as to why you’re having this vision as well. It’s actually a bit strange. You’re having a vision of me creating my first universe yet you’re actually present as well. Hmm. It can’t be that you’re one of the beings here or a reincarnation of them either. All of these beings have unique souls that will follow them, even if their soul is destroyed. Yet you don’t have that unique soul of theirs…”
The figure before Akata pondered for a brief moment before coming up with something. The figure looked at Akata deeply. The eyes of the figure grayed and Akata felt as if his entire being was being exposed in front of this person. His very soul felt as if it was under the watchful eyes of this expert.
“Ah!” Akata was surprised and let out a shout.
The figure quickly finished, not even a instant passing before they nodded their head. “So that’s how it is. I understand now. It all has to do with your past.”
Akata gave another confused look as if asking for answers.
“Haha. I just looked at the memories of your soul, sorry about that. How rude of me. I'll give you a gift. But I do have to say that you're a very interesting person. If you're able to achieve your goal then…” The figure stopped as if sizing up their words. “Let's just say you'll do a lot of astounding things.”
Akata was at a loss. “You looked through the memories of my soul? And what goal? What memories?”
“Ahhh too many questions. If you're able to meet me at my Aurasoul Whitewing Palace then I'll tell you. But let's just say your goal of being the strongest for now. Now now, for your gift.” The figure raised their hand as a small ball of multicolored light appeared above the palm.
“I saw that you train in many different arts but mostly focus on the Outer Element of Souls and Khaos and the scythe. The Outer Element of Souls is an Outer Branch Element on the Saint Path while the Outer Element of Khaos is on the Fiend Path. Most cultivators can train in the Soul Element but only those who have a cultivation base that derives from the Fiend Path can train in the Khaos Element. Once your cultivation increases on the Fiend Path you’ll find it easier to train in the Khaos Element. As for the scythe, You’ve learned from someone named Cultist Soulfire and even have some of the teachings of Dullahan. Your comprehension could be considered better than most.
What you need right now isn’t other techniques, a rise in cultivation, or even more comprehension. You need a stable foundation most importantly. With all of these things you’re training in and all of these different cultivation bases, its putting a lot of stress on your body. I’m surprised you haven’t broken down by now. Only with a stable foundation will you be able to go further down your path to becoming the strongest. A strong building can’t have an uneven foundation, only with a single even surface will it truly be worth building upon. Right now you’re an uneven surface but once you become even, you’ll soar by leaps and bounds. I’m actually quite expectant of you. That is why this is my gift.”
With a flick of a sleeve the multicolored light flew towards Akata’s forehead where it merged into it. “That should be about time. Hehe. I’ll keep an eye on you.” Akata’s vision started to blur as the universe around him started to turn misty. Eventually the mist turned dark and his vision was pitch black.
The Winged Skyfrog flew directly towards Akata who was standing with a dazed look on his face. It’s speed was terrifyingly fast to the point it couldn’t even leave a blur behind. It was only a few meters away to begin with so it closed the gap between them in less than an instant.
Just as it was about to slam right into Akata, his eyes sprang wide open. He instantly waved his hand as a multicolored light sprang up around his palm. The light slammed into the Winged Skyfrog and sent it flying into a few trees. Blood seeped out of its eyes and ears and its body was limp. Clearly it had died from this one hit. It didn’t even have the energy to let out a single twitch motion.
Akata’s eyes were a solemn gray during this attack but after it was completed they immediately went back to his striking red color. He looked at his palm, completely forgetting about the existence of the Winged Skyfrog, as he etched the feeling of the power he just wielded into his memories. He couldn’t actually use it but the figure from before had somehow taken over his body and gave him a taste of the power he could wield.
A smile rose across his face.

A vault dweller, who spent every day of his twenty five years underground. Like his father, and his father before him. Proud to live in the last remaining bastion of humanity, all that survived The Great War of the atomic age. Hidden deep below the surface of the earth, toiling under brutal conditions. Year after year, decade upon decade. All to expand into the natural cave system the Vault occupied, building for the future. However, John knew what his forefathers did not, that everything he’d been taught was a lie. After finishing school at the age of ten, John received his standard issue pipboy. An arm mounted personal computer, worn by everyone in the Vault. Used to coordinate the relentless pace of expansion, needed to work as an apprentice. To learn the craft that would be his life’s work. A noble calling to ensure a future for all that remained of the human race. A quirk of fate saw John equipped not with the crude, clunky, pipboy model his father wore. That almost everyone around him wore. His looked smaller, sleeker, finished in a jet black sheen. And capable of doing far more than its drab counterparts. The world above had been ravaged by atomic flames, yet life clung to its bones. The Red Valley fared better than most in the century since the bombs fell. The clean water and rich soil protected by rolling hills. All spared from direct strikes, for the most part. Life survived here. Trees spawned from charred ground, misshapen, green leaves turned red. Along with simple crops, grown wild at first, then cultivated by the survivors. The scavengers of the old world were inventive, hardy people. All determined to rebuild in the ruins of a world they never knew. In the decades that passed settlements emerged. They grew, spreading along the valley floor. Reclaiming the pre-war remnants of the once industrialised heartland. Salvaging the robotic wonders of a bygone age to build their walls and work their fields. To protect them in the dark of the wasteland. But such things are uncommon in this world, and the rarer something is, the greater its value. And the worth of pre-war technology had not gone unnoticed. The last, real, power in this world rested in the mechanised hands of The Brotherhood of Steel. Forged from the mortally wounded old world military. The Brotherhood used its access to the weapons made for a conflict no one won to strike out into the wastes. Men and women were equipped with advanced armour, aerial transportation, high grade weaponry. Accompanied by the training, strength, and will, to put them to use. They established chapters and set up outputs far and wide. All dedicated to a single purpose. To ensure the technology left abandoned by its long dead creators didn’t fall into the wrong hands. Namely, any hands that were not their own. This is the world John escaped into. A place of horrors brought forth from atomic fire. A place where survival meant battling against the darkness. Fighting a war each day to get to the next. And war...war never changes

He loves playing video games and his job at the local Buy More is tolerable. Of course that all changes the moment the system arrives and the Earth is connected to the Nexus. Turns out Kai was trapped in time for about eighteen months while the people already here got a headstart on him. This is Kai's story, the moments of his triumphs, and the moments when he feels that things couldn't possibly be worse. Thanks to puddles4263 and his story The Legend of Randidly Ghosthound for the inspiration on the world this is set in. If you have never read that I highly recommend it, and if you have read it and enjoyed that story then I hope you'll enjoy mine as well. This is the first story I'm ever putting out for public consumption so reader beware on that. Any constructive criticism is always appreciated, simply leaving a half star review tells me that you're a moron who doesn't know how to use words. I'm constantly trying to improve my writing and feedback and criticism on what works and what doesn't is the only way to do that at the point I feel I am at. Last, I just marked all the content warnings because you never know where a story will take you and I don't want to exclude anything (though there will never be a harem). I am going to release 1-2 chapters per week on Fridays. Thanks and enjoy.
