Time passed and the uproar from the crowd had not subsided. When the match between Tabet and Alabasta was underway it was one shocking scene after the other. The level of power they both displayed was shocking considering their cultivation levels. Alabasta was only at the 10th Grade but he could unleash power that was on the level of someone at the Great Circle. Tabet was at the Great Circle and his battle prowess could be seen as being at the threshold of the Beast Rank. And he was still growing much more powerful. His potential could be considered limitless.

“Ahaha! Now THAT is our Young Lord Tabet!”

“Our Lords will bring our tribe and this land to great heights!”

As the buzz of conversation went on, numerous members of the Scarlet Rune Tribe became enlivened. They were in a jubilant mood and they immediately rushed around the Great Aka Tribe spreading the joyous news. Of course, word spread quickly not just about Tabet and Alabasta’s match but also the other matches that went on. Talk about the level of skill that Akata was able to display while only at the 7th Grade was spread as well. This news reached the ears of not only the common members of the Great Aka Tribe but the higher ranked members as well.

Flying Dragon Snake Pavilion

“Hmm… so Pina lost against a mortal at the 7th Grade of the Mortal Rank then? It can’t be that she wasn’t giving it her all, but it must have been that this mortal was just too outstanding of a figure. He even beat Gorgon, huh? I must meet this mortal. What was his name again?”

A ten meter long snake with wings and small front legs spoke. This snake had green wings and black scales. It also had a green beard running from its head down to the ground. This creature clearly had some age to it and also had an intense pressure that it was obviously holding back.

Below this Wyrm was another snake with wings but this one didn’t have any legs. It was only six meters long and was completely black in color. However, this Wyrm was at the 3rd Grade of the Beast Rank. it looked up at the figure above him with reverence and pride. He respectively said, “Dragon Emperor, this mortal is called Akata.”

“Akata eh… interesting! Bring him to me.” The Dragon Emperor called out. “And tell Pina to come here as well.” His voice was calm but carried much power behind it. He was the expert and leader of the Flying Dragon Snake Tribe, the current Dragon Emperor, Hymna. His strength could be said to be unrivalled at the 3rd Grade of the Temporal Rank and the only one who could match him was Great Lord Taple. He was the oldest member of the Great Aka Tribe and had much experience. Because of his strength his tribe was considered one of the three Holy Beast Tribes.

“Yes Dragon Emperor!” The beast below him assented and hurriedly rushed to do his task. Dragon Emperor Hymna simply nodded his head and laid there unmoving. A strange gleam could be seen in his eyes but only he knew what he was thinking.

Earthen Beast Jungle Lake

A huge Gatorape sat in a tree looking down at a few others. This Gatorape was a fully 10 meters tall and was burly beyond compare. His alligator skin looked dark and extremely tough. His eyes were sharp and proud as if nothing could shake him. All of the Gatorapes below him looked on with awe-inspiring eyes except one who just looked respectful.

“Grandfather… he was just… too special. I thought that I had the match in my favor but in the end he got the better of me. I don’t even know how it happened. He was only at the 7th Grade but was able to do what takes someone at the Half-step of the Beast Rank to do.” Gorgon sighed and told the Gatorape that was sitting in the tree.

That Gatorape simply looked at him with warm yet harsh eyes. It was as if his gaze was conflicted. It didn’t whether to be disappointed or angry. Finally with a sigh he spoke.

“Bring that Akata to me.” He simply said. He didn’t speak slow or harsh or anything. It was just a bland sentence with no emotion or even thought put into it. But at these words everyone below him started to listen closely and not dare to make a sound.

After he finished speaking one Gatorape stepped up and said extremely respectfully. “I will do as you wish Heaven Beast Monarch Goliath.” As the Gatorape finished speaking he immediately departed in search for Akata. He wouldn’t come back until he completed this task.

Heaven Beast Monarch Goliath turned his head to looked at Gorgon. Even though he was at the 2nd Grade of the Temporal Rank, none of that pressure roiled onto Gorgon. This was the leader of the Earthen Beast Tribe and although he was the weakest compared to the other Temporal Ranked beasts, his pride and strength made him their equal.

When his gaze came across Gorgon he simply sighed. “Gorgon… grandchild. You need more training. You’re falling behind the other Gifted Beasts. At this rate you may end up in last place just like me. I may not make any more progress but you certainly can. I’m going to send you out to adventure and gain some experience. Only then will you make substantial progress. Be ready in a week.” Heaven Beast Monarch Goliath said without emotion. Although it was said without emotion, his eyes seemed to carry warmth in them.

Meteor Star Palace

There was an 8 meter long wolf with astral fur. This fur, however, was white with black spot instead of black with white spots. It laid to the side with its eyes closed. If it wasn’t for the obvious youth in front of it waiting for an answer with anticipation, anybody would’ve thought this wolf was sleeping. After a bit of time the wolf opened its eyes and they showed with a bright neon light that looked as if it could pierce through the starry sky.

“No.” Was the simple reply to the young wolf in front of it. This one word held dominating power behind it and made the wolf in front of it tense up. However, there was also a gentleness within the word as well.

“But grandmother why?” Alabasta asked in confusion and a hint of nervousness. This was the first time he had actually talked back to his grandmother before. It made him frightened to just think about talking back but this time he couldn’t hold himself back.

Her eyes were sharp and they seemed to look through Alabasta’s very soul. “Simple. There’s no way you can beat Tabet right now. As of this moment he is out of your range until you can increase your cultivation base. That is the only thing holding you back right now. What you should be more interested in is that Akata boy.” She spoke much more calmly with the last sentence.

“Akata? Why him?” Alabasta asked with disdain as he was obviously disinterested with him.

“Why? He is much more talented than you are.” She looked at Alabasta to see the shock and humiliation wash over his face. Soon afterwards could be seen a hint of anger. “He is much more talented than you because even though you are at the 10th Grade and able to match up to the Great Circle, he is at the 7th Grade and can surpass the 10th Grade. Not only that but he is a mortal as well.” A snort came out her mouth after this. “To think utter trash of a mortal can compete with us beasts. I want him destroyed in body and soul.”

She spoke out in a louder voice and said, “Rein! I want you to bring that mortal to me this instant! He is being guarded by the Scarlet Tigers so be careful.” Her words were cold and merciless.

Another wolf with astral fur and saber teeth appeared out of nowhere. This astral fur was the regular black with white spots. It spoke in a deep calm voice, “Yes Star Sovereign Allica.” The wolf named Rein simply and respectfully said as it soon vanished afterwards.

Star Sovereign Allica was the third strongest of the Temporal Ranked beasts and also the only female. Her strength was at the 2nd Grade of the Temporal Rank but with her innate abilities she could fully compete with the 3rd Grade. Her grandson, Alabasta, was the second strongest of the Gifted Beasts but he was just too cold and distant from others. She wished for him to be strong but also to be with others.

These were the three Holy Beast Tribes and their leaders. Dragon Emperor Hymna of the Flying Dragon Snake Tribe, Heaven Beast Monarch Goliath of the Earthen Beast Tribe, and Star Sovereign Allica of the Meteor Wolf Star Tribe. Each of these figures could shake the world by themselves, but now they all wanted one thing… Akata.
