《Forsaking Reality》Chapter 61: The Rebellion Starts

“Trying to absorb me eh? Well you’re not taking me down that easily!” A voice sounded throughout the dantion region. All of a sudden the land started to shake.
The ground shook violently causing the white tiger to cry out in its sleep. The voice caused Akata’s nature energy to tremble on the verge of being destroyed. On the outside, his body started to ooze blood from his mouth and nose. However, even as he tried to pull his nature energy back, it began to… spread out even more.
Akata felt a profound sense of danger as he hurriedly focused his mind on controlling his nature energy to its fullest. But, nothing seemed to work. Out of desperation he decided to, instead of trying to resist, he should instead attack.
Akata’s eyes glowed with a red and golden light as he rotated his red and gold runes. His formless and colorless nature energy took on a red and gold hue and was instantly strengthened beyond compare. This was a new application of his red and gold runes. He found that, ever since he obtained his plant cultivation base he had a new connection to nature. This made it so that he could apply the strength increase of his red and gold runes to his nature energy and sense.
His nature energy burst forth with newfound strength, In the moment that Akata decided to attack he focused all of his attention on picking up clues on how to win. Instantly he noticed that the only part of the land that shook was the part that the life force still remained. Behind him, the land was as still as ice.
‘Could this be the remnants of the plant cultivator talking to me? If so how? If he supposedly died then how can he still be here? He’s out to destroy me I know it… but that’s not going to happen. The only part of the land that’s not posing me any danger it the part that I already absorbed the life force, then I should just absorb the rest of it then.’
Akata quickly thought these things and made the decision to absorb the rest of the foreign life force of the plant cultivator. His nature energy swept out in front of him into the land ahead. He focused it to absorb the life force in the land. His nature energy was backed by the power of his plant cultivation base and his runes. It rapidly absorbed the life force of the plant cultivator in a large amount.
Akata’s absorption speed was at a whole new level thanks to his runes. The speed in which he was absorbing this life force was multiple times faster than what he had done before. The life force also bolstered Akata’s cultivation base, making him stronger as he absorbed it. This in turn made his absorption power and speed grow.

A loud snort could be heard as soon as Akata started to absorb more of the life force. “You dare to continue absorbing me?! Ha! How swell, you save me the trouble of waiting to revive myself.” All of a sudden everything went silent.
Akata felt that no resistance was going against him as of this moment. This made absorption go extremely fast for him. In the space of a breath he had completely absorbed half of the life force of the plant cultivator inside the dantion region. Akata was too surprised by this and couldn’t think of any reason why this would happen.
“That was too easy, what is this figure doing? And what does he mean by reviving himself? Ugh, this is beginning to be too much for me and much more complicated than I thought it would be.” By the time Akata got to the end of his thought he had already absorbed all of the foreign life force of the plant cultivator. This led him to reach the peak 3rd Grade.
Of course he was skeptical of taking the life force now, especially considering the words of the plant cultivator. However, he wanted the good fortune of this life force. Not only could this life force be used to help him increase his cultivation level, but it also increased his nature energy, made his nature sense more powerful, and allowed for his own life force to grow. When would he ever come across some good fortune like this again, if ever? So he of course was going to take advantage of this opportunity that was given to him.
After absorbing the life force in the dantion region, Akata didn’t move on to the final place, the soul region. Instead, he focused on the sleeping white tiger. It still had patches of green on its fur that emanated a powerful energy from them. This energy also held a deep profoundness within it that Akata felt amazed about.
He sent his nature sense out to inspect the green patches closer. Upon getting within a few hundred meters of the sleeping white tiger Akata felt a burst of energy and an intense sealing effect lock him down.
Akata’s face immediately changed as he found himself not capable of moving. Everything about him was locked down as of this moment, his nature sense, nature energy, cultivation base, and his body were all affected.
‘I can’t move at all.’ Akata couldn’t move anything at this moment, not even his lips or vocal cords. All he could do was think to himself. ‘How can I get out of this situation now? I can’t move at all. All I can do is rotate my red rune, but with nothing else to apply it to it’s useless.’ Indeed Akata tried everything and found out that his red rune was still able to rotate but he didn’t have anything to apply it to.

‘This sealing effect is coming from that green stuff. Which means the closer I am to it, the stronger the feeling is. I need to find a way to back up from here somehow.’ But the area was completely locked down and made it impossible for Akata to move about anywhere.
In the chamber room, Lord Tafei found something to be amiss. Upon closer inspection his face changed immensely. “Why isn’t he moving? It’s like he has been caught in a trap of locked down space. But also of greater effect. Not even his cultivation base is moving right now.” Lord Tafei approached Akata and he could sense a great aura of sealing emanating off of him.
“What kind of sealing is this?! Even I can feel a little of its effects and it’s not even targeting me. Could this be the work of that damn plant cultivator?! I’m not even able to get him out of this, this type of sealing is far from my abilities.” As he spoke he found that small green spots were appearing on Akata’s skin.
“These are similar to father’s spots. This is definitely the work of the plant cultivator.” Lord Tafei ground his teeth out of anger, but hidden within was also a sense of helplessness. He knew he didn’t have the power to overcome that sealing effect now. His own father, the strongest in the land, was unable to endure it that well. This is why he had been stuck in that room for many years and was unable to change into his beast form. He couldn’t even fully rotate his cultivation base.
Right when he was about to inspect a bit closer he heard a loud bang coming from the Elder’s chambers. He hurriedly sent his divine sense out and inspected the situation. His face completely darkened upon seeing what was happening.
“No no no no NO! Not at a time like this!” Lord Tafei instantly disappeared from his position and was back in the room with the Elders of the tribe. “GREAT PRIEST BAMBE WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!” Lord Tafei’s voice boomed throughout the whole cave.
All he got in response was a laugh. “Ahahaha.” The laugh was derisive and contained deep resentment. “Lord Tafei, by your reaction it seems that you anticipated on me rebelling. I guess the timing just caught you off guard. No matter however, all is still going according to plan.”
Great Priest Bambe turned his head and spoke out. “Leave Lord Tafei to me. You all handle the rest of the work.” Behind him some Elder’s were fighting each other. Obviously Great Priest Bambe had his force built up for some time.
In fact throughout the whole cave fighting was going on. Some Scarlet Tigers were loyal to the side of Lord Tafei, while others had turned traitorous and followed behind Great Priest Bambe. Even the younger generation was split up between two sides. Nobody was left wondering which side to join, clearly those that were loyal remained loyal, and those that were traitors had no hesitation in the matter.
Lord Tafei’s eyes were bloodshot as he surveyed the situation. This was far worse than he had thought things had become. The tribe was nearly split in half between who to follow. This made the rebellion become much more complicated than picking out a few traitors.
Since the start of the Scarlet Tiger Tribe, they had two great figures that led the tigers. One of the figures was stronger than the other and came to be called the Lord, while the other came to be known as the Priest. These two were the leaders of the Scarlet Tiger Tribe, however the Lord’s words held more sway.
Eventually the title of Lord and Priest was passed down to the children of the figures and continued that way for all time. Even though one was the nominal leader, both of the people that held the titles were still close in power. However that changed when the Scarlet Tiger Tribe was cast away from the mainland.
The true Great Priest, Great Priest Bayou, had been captured and held hostage by the mainland. This led the Scarlet Tiger Tribe to pass down the title of Great Priest down earlier to his son Priest Bambe. However, people were still willing to follow Priest Bambe due to him being such a great leader.
Thus the Scarlet Tiger Tribe was split between two factions. Those for the Lords and those for the Priests. Lord Tafei knew this already but what he didn’t know was that things would escalate this badly and be this outrageous. It was an utter act of rebellion that played out. Which was simply intolerable.
But, Lord Tafei wasn’t focused on any of that at the moment. His bloodshot eyes were focused coldly at Great Priest Bambe. He uttered his words extremely coldly. “Get your hands off Lady Haque, NOW!”
