《Forsaking Reality》Chapter 56: Healing Great Priest Bambe

When Akata stretched his nature senese out he saw something unbelievable. Tabet looked to be in multiple places at once. But he knew this wasn’t the case at all.
“This is his speed? Why is it so fast? I can’t even manage to lock his location down with my nature sense. He’s literally going to fast for me to comprehend at the moment. Is this the speed of someone at the Great Circle? It’s way too fast!” Akata was too surprised at what his nature sense picked up.
In his nature sense he could see many figures zipping around making it look like there were multiple figures of Tabet going around. It was an astonishing sight to see. It was too amazing that Akata even found some enlightenment in it.
“You won… But don’t think this will be the last race that we will have. I will beat you eventually! Akata yelled out. Of course he couldn’t accept losing but there was nothing he could do. He was outclassed by a large margin. The difference between their speeds was like the distance between Heaven and Earth.
Tabet flashed to a stop in front of Akata. He had a smile on his face as he approached him. “I’m amazed by your speed it is definitely fast for someone at your level. It has to be at least at the 9th Grade to unleash. I actually was getting frightened that you would catch up so I went my full speed. Haha” Tabet laughed out.
Akata had a frown on his face. “You said that you wouldn’t go your full speed though. Of course you would win. Humph.” He was slightly frustrated.
“Ah. I technically went full speed but at the same time I didn’t. I just used the full speed that my body would allow. I didn’t use any techniques or anything of the sort.” Tabet was still laughing out.
Akata’s left eye twitched with bitter frustration. In his mind however he was shocked. Tabet’s body alone was able to utterly defeat him in a race. Just how fast would he be if he were to use his cultivation base and other techniques?
Akata let out a long breath and sighed. “Well whatever. We should get going to your father.” Akata didn’t feel like keeping his mind on the race.
“Oh. We’re already here though. It’s about 30 meters over there.” Tabet pointed out in the distance where a cave entrance could be seen just below the trees.
Tabet led Akata toward the cave entrance. Along the way Akata still had the image of Tabet’s speed in his nature sense constantly replaying. He was able to see every little movement and remember it. This was because of his immense mental energy.
As he watched Tabet’s movements play out Akata felt that his own movements could be improved greatly. ‘It’s almost like there were many copies of him going around at the same time. Each of those copies were identical in every way. It’s really hard to believe that he was just using his body to unleash that speed.’ Akata was simply in awe of Tabet’s movement.
Tabet was in the lead. His smile was still on his face as he walked to the entrance. ‘Of course that wasn’t just my body speed. My body isn’t that strong to unleash that level of speed. I unconsciously used my cultivation base and infused the elements of air and illusions into my speed. He won’t know that though, he’ll just keep on thinking that it was my superb body. Hehe.’ He was secretly very content with himself even though he knew he had cheated.

After a bit of time the two made it into the cave with all the other Scarlet Tiger’s. Tabet led Akata to the chamber that his father, mother, and other leaders of the tribe were at. Tabet protected Akata from the intense pressure that was in the room.
He was led into the room where he saw the same five beasts lying down. Lord Tafei raised his head and looked straight at Akata. He nodded his head and then said, “Does this mean you are ready to start healing us then?” His voice boomed and filled Akata’s ears.
Akata nodded his own head and said. “Yes Lord Tafei I’m ready to start healing you all.” Akata was respectful towards him. It wasn’t that he cared about courtesy but the pressure in the room made him want to be respectful.
“Good. As planned you will heal Great Priest Bambe first. If you are successful then you can heal the rest of us. I hope that you are successful. You may use the secluded room to do your healings. Lady Haque, could you watch over them?” Lord Tafei spoke.
“I will.” Lady Haque stood up from her position and strode forth toward Akata. “We will head out immediately and start the healing procedure. I am curious myself as to how you do this young Akata.” Her voice carried a soft tone to it.
Akata nodded his head. He then followed behind her as she walked toward the passageway back to the main room of the tribe. When they got to the room she called on Great Priest Bambe. “Great Priest Bambe, we are ready for you to be healed.” She said softly.
The Scarlet Tiger’s were unaware of her presence until she spoke. When she did, all the Scarlet Tiger’s became quiet and bowed their heads toward her. Then they all spoke in unison, “Greetings Lady Haque.” It was a beautiful scene for Akata to see.
Great Priest Bambe stood up from a group of Scarlet Tigers and walked over peacefully. “Is it time for young Akata here to heal me then?” He spoke in a respectful manner.
“Yes, you are correct. We will be heading to the secluded room now. If you would, please follow us.” She said slowly.
Lady Haque and Great Priest Bambe walked side by side in the lead with Akata following them. Although they weren’t emitting it on purpose, the pressure they displayed was overwhelming to Akata. On multiple occasions he felt like he was going to be crushed.
Soon they were in the room, just the three of them. Great Priest Bambe strode forward to the center of the room and sat down. Lady Haque walked over to the side spectating everything. She wouldn’t say a word or interfere with anything that was about to happen.
Akata walked over to Great Priest Bambe. “I’ll need for you not to resist at all.” Akata said calmly. He sat down cross legged in front of Great Priest Bambe and closed his eyes. “I’m going to have my nature sense wash over you to inspect the life force now.” He said and then became quiet.
Nature energy quickly converged in the area and spread out toward Great Priest Bambe. Akata directed it to flow into his body inspect the foreign life force. He searched thoroughly making mental notes of what he saw and how he should handle it.

After about half and hour of looking through Great Priest Bambe’s body Akata retracted the nature energy. He took a deep breath and opened his eyes. ‘I can do this!’ He mused to himself.
“You have much more life force within you than the younger generation and it is also deeper in your system. But, I should be able to take it away. I’ll begin with the healing process now.” Akata closed his eyes once more and began to focus.
He didn’t want anyone to question him right now so he went straight to work. ‘There is much more life force in the older generation than the younger one. If I can absorb it all then I can definitely raise my cultivation level.’
Akata spread out his nature energy and once again washed over Great Priest Bambe’s body. This time he went on the attack. His nature energy was like a flood, the way it invaded Great Priest Bambe’s body.
The foreign life force of the plant cultivator had invaded the soul, cultivation base, and dantion region of Great Priest Bambe therefore Akata had to spend a lot more effort in healing him. He had to ce extremely careful in dealing with this life force. Though Akata couldn’t cause any serious or lasting damage to Great Priest Bambe, he wanted the practice so he would be ready for his next patient.
‘Hm. Maybe I should be a doctor when I get older. Helping people isn’t that bad.’ Akata thought to himself. He continued to absorb the life force at a slow pace. First was the dantion region where he took in an abundant amount of life force. Then was the cultivation base where it became a bit tricky but Akata could still handle it. Next was the soul region.
The soul region contained the soul. It was an important part of the body of any living creature. Without it, the creature just couldn’t survive. ‘Eh? What’s wrong with his soul?’ Akata came in contact with his soul and found something strange.
He backed his nature energy away and opened his eyes. He turned to look at Lady Haque. “Lady Haque, why is it that Great Priest Bambe has two souls? They aren’t different and look to be one and the same, but they are definitely two souls. It’s like one is inside the other.” Akata was very confused.
“Oh!” At first Lady Haque was confused but as Akata kept explaining she instantly knew what he meant. “You’re looking at his spiritual soul and physical soul. Everyone has those two souls. These two souls are basically one in the same as without one you will technically be dead. The physical soul brings the body life. But, if it is destroyed you will be sent to be reborn.
The spiritual soul brings everlasting life. It is the soul that is sent to the river of reincarnation to be reborn. With this soul a living being can still live in their next life. That is why sometimes it is called the true soul. However if it is destroyed, then that living being can no longer be reborn and will forever be dead.” She spoke briefly about the souls to Akata.
Akata nodded his head in understanding. He had no idea about this. He couldn’t even tell his souls apart. But he could with Great Priest Bambe because his soul was much stronger than Akata’s.
He turned back to Great Priest Bambe and closed his eyes again. He sent his nature energy out and surrounded the soul. He transformed his nature energy into little wisps and sent it into the soul. The tiny wisps streaked across the soul gathering and consuming the life force of the plant cultivator.
Even though it seemed like Akata was doing the healing rather quickly in truth he had already spent more than two hours cleaning out the dantion region, to say nothing of the rest of Great Priest Bambe’s body. Akata was meticulous with his work. Although he wasn’t truly taking i seriously, he still had to put in a bit of real effort.
By the time Akata finished absorbing the last of the foreign life force from the soul half a day had passed. Akata took in a deep breath and slowly breathed it out. Then he opened his eyes, a smile across his face. ‘I’ve made it to the 3rd Grade of the Seed Rank. I’m improving faster in plant cultivation than I am in mortal cultivation.’ Akata was extremely happy. He could sense the changes the Plant Realm gave him.
“All of the life force has been cleansed from your body Great Priest Bambe. It should take you no time at all to recover your full strength.” Akata said with a calm expression.
“Mn. Good work young Akata. I can definitely feel that a foreign existence has been taken out of my body. I don’t know how to explain it. Almost like I was cleansed spiritually and am not burdened by anything. It is a wonderful feeling to say the least.” Great Priest Bambe praised Akata for his work.
Lady Haque stood up from the side and walked over to Great Priest Bambe. “What are your thoughts?” She asked.
“He has definitely done something. I could also feel his energy going around my body. Sometimes it would linger, other times it would flash by. I can tell that in key areas of my body that he was being careful. I can say that he really has healed me.” Great Priest Bambe told her.
“Good.” Lady Haque turned to Akata. “Come with me will you.” She turned and headed back to the chamber with the rest of the Elders. Akata quickly got up and followed behind. Although he was tired he didn’t let it show. Great Priest Bambe also followed them.

8 173Recovery: Ignis
My Name is Keiren. Keiren Ignis. At least that was what IT told me. Now all I have to do is figure out everything else. No simple task when you're an amnesiac. Honestly, why do I know these words and what they mean, but I have no idea who or even what I am. Except for what IT told me. IT is whatever is causing the wierd pop-up screens that appear in my vision when I think about certain things. Seems like I'm going to have to play by ITs rules until I get a better understanding of everything else. This is my first attempt at writing anything. To be honest I'm not 100% sure as to what direction this will take. GLHF It became sci-fi. There will probably be a romantic subplot at some point. There will be some implied sexual content, but nothing more explicit than kissing will be written. Will try to release at least one chapter a week, but there could be none, or possibly 3 or 4.
