《Twins of Black and White (Pokemon Fanfic)》Coming Out Of Their Shells

After they had arrived back in town, Cynthia and Xander followed Carolina back to her lab. As soon as she got back, Carolina had to dive into work once more. She had spent more than 4 hours outside which she had to make up for.
While the professor was busy working with her team, the two kids were sitting on a table at the side while going through her Pokedex. Both of them were trying to guess what their first pokemon would be.
"I'm pretty sure it's a Fire-type. I can feel the heat coming off of it from here," Cynthia said
"It might be a Dragon or Electric-type. Both of them should be hot too. Mine is definitely Water or Ice-type though. It feels so cool. Oh. It could also be a Dark-type," Xander guessed the type of his pokemon
Carolina walked over to bring lunch to the two kids and check on them but when she heard them talking about the temperature of the eggs, she wanted to laugh.
'No, that's just your imagination. You both have had such a smart old lady around you for the past 9 years yet you are still so stupid. So adorable.'
Carolina passed them the sandwiches she made before returning back to work. For the rest of the day, Carolina or one of her assistants would go check on the kids every 30 minutes or so.
Whenever they saw the two playing happily with each other in the lab, it would melt the hearts of all the researchers.
When it was around 8 pm, the kids' parents had finally returned. Each of them had a smile on their face as they approached Carolina's lab. But they arrived and were met with the glare of Carolina and all of her staff.

"Where have you all been?! You were supposed to take my grandbabies out to play today! But they were sitting on the swings all alone way after the meeting time. And you only come back so late? See if I don't have my Chingling break all your legs!"
Chingling who was floating behind Carolina glared at the 4 as if backing up her words.
While none of the 4 took it seriously, they knew they were in the wrong. The 4 could only go into the lab to find their children. But when they approached the inner room, they found the two kids sleeping together on a couch with their eggs in their hands.
Seeing the peaceful scene, Carolina stopped the parents from waking them up.
"What are you fools doing? You better not wake them up before I get this as a picture," Carolina scolded them quietly as she went to go find a camera and take a picture of this adorable scene.
After getting her picture, Carolina reluctantly allowed the parents to take the kids away and back home to sleep for the night.
Over the next few weeks, Xander and Cynthia had brought their eggs with them everywhere they went. They had heard that they needed to bond with the eggs to make them hatch faster.
So no matter where they went in their small town, the two eggs were sure to accompany them. And sure enough, the eggs were ready to hatch soon.
While the pair were inside Carolina's resting room, both of their eggs began to glow at the same time.
Seeing this sight, both children smiled and called out to Carolina to get her to come and see their first pokemon.
"Granny!"
"Grandma Carolina!"
Hearing both of the children calling for her, Carolina rushed over to see what was going on. But when she saw the eggs that were glowing and slightly shaking, Carolina nodded in understanding. She passed the pair a set of two spare pokeballs she had been carrying with her ever since she had given them the eggs.

"Here are some pokeballs. After they come out, you two will probably need to bond with them for a few months before you can actually catch them. Although fresh babies are easier to catch, it's not a good way to start off your relationship with one," Carolina explained to the two before silently adding on, 'Especially if you get stubborn and hard to control pokemon.'
The kids nodded and took the pokeballs from Carolina. The trio waited for over 30 minutes before the light began to expand and a cracking sound could be heard.
When the light faded, two pokemon were standing on the table in front of them.
In front of Xander was a small blue quadrupedal Pokémon with black fur covering its head and neck, concealing everything but its mouth from view. The fur around its neck also had six purple spots encircling it, which resemble bruises. The hair on the top of its head took the shape of a single small horn. It also had a short tail that appears to be bitten off.
In front of Cynthia was a small, bipedal dragon-like pokemon that was primarily blue. It had a big mouth filled with sharp teeth, no neck, and arms that started at the outer edges of its jaws. A red underbelly stretched from its abdomen to the bottom of its jaw. It had two horns that resemble jet or plane engines, each with a light blue stripe in the middle. It has a single light blue stripe wrapped around its back. On top of its head was a dorsal fin.
'A Deino and a Gible huh.'
Seeing the two pokemon the pair got, Carolina was not sure what kind of luck they each had. Both of them had gotten really amazing pokemon but for starter pokemon, these two were very difficult for first-time trainers to handle.
Gible had sharp teeth and strong jaw strength but it was also very clumsy. The pokemon was just as likely to harm itself or its trainer as it was to hurt an enemy. The training required for a Gible was immense.
Deino was even worse. The pokemon was blind so was unable to see anything. This made training very difficult. It also had a huge appetite and would eat practically anything it could get near its mouth. The worst part was that this pokemon was very difficult to evolve into its next stage so most amateur trainers were stuck with a blind pokemon they could barely train for their entire lives or until they got rid of it.
Carolina was about to offer to get the kids other pokemon but when she saw that the two of them were staring at the pokemon with nothing but love, she changed her mind.
'Oh, well. I will be here to help them so it shouldn't be much trouble.'

This is another attempt at the world travelling reincarnator. I dropped my other story because I didn't like where it was going and I felt trapped in the Narutoverse. This time, I'm going to have the main character travelling to more than just one world and they won't all be action based. Have fun and thank you! The first chapters are rough, but I believe I'm improving! Please stick around while I find the style I wish to write in!
