《Author Vs Protagonist》Chapter 15: Trash

Zarion Academy is currently filled with people, there were a lot of people waiting for the assessment to begin with. It had to be known that Zarion Academy, being the most influential academy, had countless people coming daily to try their luck. To ensure that they do not miss any talented individuals, Zarion Academy was lax in their participation rules.
Besides the rule that one had to be 16 years old an under and must be at least Level 1, they allowed the participant to take the assessment as many times as they please. Thus, participants who failed the previous assessment could come everyday to try their luck again. Although nobles were the usual assessment participants, there were also quite a few commoners, some came from wealthy families and some had great talent.
In the main building of the Assessment Department, a voice had shouted loudly. This voice belonged to a youth who looked to be around 16 years old. The youth wore a fancy attire that had an insignia on the left shoulder.
The insignia bore the symbol of a white tiger, while it was normal for a noble family to have an insignia, only the 10 most powerful families have animal symbols as their guardian spirit.
The white tiger is the symbol of the Rosswein Family. Rosswein Family is a very influential Family, second only to the Cromwell Family. The Rosswein Family members occupy most of the high ranking positions in the city council, and the city mayor, is the head of the Rosswein Family. The only reason they are second to the Cromwell Family was due to the existence of Zarion Academy.
Many experts in the city council were once students of Zarion Academy, even before Vincent took power. Obviously, they had attachment to Zarion Academy and only served to expand its influence. Once can infer that Zarion Academy is a major power by itself, with the amount of experts it has produced.
After shouting, the youth then stared at the man in front of him and had a look of annoyance, his attendant beside him spoke loudly, “This young master is Simon Rosswein, he came here to register his application. Let this young master through, you peasant.”, his face showcased his proud behavior.

It was evident that he was confident that as long as he threw the Rosswein Family name, everyone would step down.
Zhang Wei looked this young master and his group with no emotion, he then ignored them and started to submit his own application. Clearly he did not put this young master in his eyes. The attendant, seeing Zhang Wei ignore the name Rosswein, got furious and pointed at him.
“Insolent peasant, did you not hear what I said, move away for the young master!”, he bellowed. Zhang Wei turned a blind eye to the screaming attendant. He already made his mind to completely ignore the stupid cliched antagonist. From his experience at reading novels, cliched antagonist are the most annoying types.
They are not shrewd and calculative, only brainless and arrogant, he did not think they were worth his time.
The attendant turned red from anger when he saw Zhang Wei ignoring him again. He had never encountered a peasant like this. People typically fawn over his young master whenever they learn of his status, but this fool simply ignored him.
He would like nothing better than to go over and kill this fool, but he did not dare to go against Zarion Academy rules. The young master on the other hand, said nothing and merely went to Zhang Wei, and said coldly, “Move now, or you will die where you stand.”
Zhang Wei got annoyed at this and lazily sounded, “Kill me if you want, we’ll see if you can enter the academy then.” Zhang Wei said this with full confidence that this brainless cliched tw*t would back down. After all who would dare violate the most influental academy's rules.
The punishment for murder without justification in Zarion Academy is expulsion for students, and barred from the assessment for life for the participants. No one is exempt from this rule, no matter what family they came from. The young master twitched and said nothing, one could even make out a faint glare from him.

He went back to his attendant’s side and waited for Zhang Wei to finish. After Zhang Wei was done and was about to leave, he heard the young master say, “Do not think the academy can protect your pitiful life for long.” to which he proceeded to stare Zhang Wei down as Zhang Wei was leaving. Zhang Wei simply ignored this tw*t and left.
Zhang Wei could not even give half a single sh*t about this idiots threats. No amount of calculation could count the number of f*cks I do not give. When I get my OP stats back, you'll be the first one I pummel.
Not long after that his name was called, he and around twenty other people were led into a large hall. Inside the hall, the instructor was waiting for them and explained the content of the assessment. The first test was strength, the participants only needed to punch a large old bell.
The test was simple and Zhang Wei managed to pass it easily. The next test was a test of agility, the participants needed to run from specific points to the next in the given amount of time. Zhang Wei also easily cleared this, his results were quite average and he did not attract any attention. So far, he had already passed two of the required three tests, he only needed one more pass to enroll as a student.
Zhang Wei and the rest of the participants were led to the center of the hall, the instructor then took out a small orb the size of a fist. He placed the orb on a podium and said, “This will be a test of aptitude, when I call your name, come up and insert a bit of spirit energy into the orb.”
He then called the participants one by one. Most had average aptitude, and did not pass, but there were a few good aptitudes. These people mostly came from noble families and had their aptitude enhanced by pills. Zhang Wei was not really interested in the people with good aptitude, as they could only go so far.
With the existence of the Overpowered System, Zhang Wei did not have to bother with aptitude, his strength could surpass even those with superior aptitude. Look at these fools that are happy with their sh*t aptitudes. This great and amazing humble man can demolish you with a single finger with my original strength. Besides, this humble man probably has the best aptitude in existence, you all can just stare in awe when this humble man is tested later.
Since he had such amazing stats, he thought that his aptitude must be extraordinary.
The instructor called Zhang Wei’s name and he went to the podium, the smugness of his face could not be hidden, and some participants looked at him with contempt. He sent a sliver of spirit energy and waited for the result. Watch this you bunch of trashes, see this Humble Man's majesty.
However, to Zhang Wei's dismay, the orb had no reaction and the instructor, announced, “Low grade aptitude, fail”.
The participants couldn't believe what they heard and the whole hall exploded with laughter.
Zhang Wei could not believe his ears when he heard that, but suddenly remembered what the Author said previously, [“Zhang Wei, 16 years old is an exceedingly trash individual, with trash aptitude…”]. He immediately cursed in his heart.
Damn it sh*tty Author, why did you make my aptitude sh*t?! Now where can I put my face at, the whole freaking hall thinks that I’m lower than trash. Screw your sister and nine generations!

Gamer
This story is abandoned and has not been authorized for distribution on any sites but RoyalRoad. Given the Gamer ability after shattering a crystal inside a game, Jon's world is upturned as he is thrown into a life he considered fantasy. Making new enemies and encountering a god, he cannot escape the quest which is forced on him. Different worlds and different situations, can he come out on top? He's neither perfect nor a saint, he is Jon. Welcome to Gamer. This has been dropped, I didn't like the way I forced a few plotpoints and I lost my notes on the story itself. Read below if you want to be spoilered. As far as I recall, he would change race into a higher human after using a spell to overload his mana repeatably until his body forcibly adapts, he would train up his rift usage spell with some better targets than God's Realm because he keeps hitting his stats limit until the cost lowers enough that he can actually grind it. His world is being invaded by multiple worlds, so the god had many backup plans where a lot of people went into their own fantasy settings and came back to defend Earth. Jon never is the strongest one out there, he has to keep grinding and grinding before he gets stronger than the other heroes, and at that point the invasion is nearing the final stretch. Jon's two biggest advantages is that he can keep grinding without hitting a cap he can't evolve, and that even when he is eventually killed. He would have respawned in the nearest 'Safe Zone' after dropping a level and everything he did to gain that level. I also had a bunch of ideas for mini-arcs where he would play in multiple worlds in multiple situations, not that great of an idea in retrospect.
