The youths were strolling at a rather fast pace. It was obvious that they were they were not willing to waste time. Zhang Wei kept his distance as he followed them. The last thing he wanted was these people accusing him of spying on them and killing him on the spot.
The group strolled for 10 more minutes before finally entering the inner layer and coming to an abrupt stop. They carefully explored the inner layer. After around 30 minutes they took a break.
“Whew, we can’t find it, Aron are you sure teacher wanted us to get that White Wolf carcass for him?”, one of the youths asked the bulky individual.
“Of course, teacher said he needed a level 2 wild beast carcass to refine the Skeleton Strengthening Pill. Only a level 2 White Wolf can be used to refine that pill.”
“Well, with all 6 of us here it shouldn’t be a problem.”, Aron was fairly confident that with all 6 of them there, they can suppress a level 2 wild beast.
“Oh, by the way, what should we do about that guy. He’s been trailing us for quite a while.”, a scrawny youth asked.
“Leave him, we don’t want to waste time. I couldn’t detect any energy on him, so he shouldn’t be a Martial Practitioner. If he gets in the way, kill him.”, Aron was pressing for time, his teacher told him that he urgently needed that carcass.
A hundred meters away, Zhang Wei was hiding behind a big tree. He thought that he was hiding like a top assassin. He was getting smug and didn’t even realize that they had already detected him.
“Hmph, sh*tty Author, what trash skills? I’m hiding from these people like a pro.”, Just as he was about to get closer and listen in on their conversation, a loud howl rang.

In a few moments, a pack of White Wolves had surrounded the vicinity. They were initially intending to invade the territory of other wild beast but caught the scent of Martial Practitioners.
Aron and his group was surrounded from all sides.
“Sh*t! how did these pack of White Wolves sneak up on us? Unless -“, one had to know that Martial Practitioners incredible perception and could detect even an ant from a hundred meters away.
So the only way anything was going to sneak up on them was through [Perception Block]. [Perception Block] was an inherent skill of the Assassin class. This skill allowed them to block a target’s perception without them even realizing.
Aron was in a bind. He and his fellow disciples were only Level 2 Martial Practitioners. In this situation he could escape, but then the rest would be slaughtered. He immediately sent out a distress signal and hope that they can hold on before someone came and rescue them.
Zhang Wei was looking at this situation and started to sweat, he turned his back and wanted to slowly back away. He was just a normal commoner. He stood no chance of fighting any kind of wild beasts.
Just as he was about to slowly back off, Author’s voice rang, “Zhang Wei, who saw that his fellow humans were in trouble decided to leap into action and fight the wolves.”
“F*ck”, Zhang Wei cursed loudly. Oi sh*tty Author, are you trying to get me killed? I’m just a normal person. If I jump in there I would be immediately eaten. Brother please spare my little life.
Author seemingly unperturbed continued, “However, there was a problem. Zhang Wei was pathetically weak. He was so useless that even the wolves did not want to eat him. Suddenly from out of nowhere, he felt strength surging inside of him. It seems that due to his trash strength and aptitude, the heavens have decided to take pity onto him. Granting him great strength.”

Just as one would expect, Zhang Wei felt strength surging in his veins.
A loud beep rang in his head. “Congratulations User. The Great Heavens have taken pity on you. To compensate your pathetically weak self, The Great Heavens have awarded you the Overpowered System. This system will allow you to gain power to rule above all others.”
“Here are your stats”

As Zhang Wei was listening to the Author and System spoke, he could not help but fume. What the f*ck do you mean pathetically weak? Am I too trash that even the heavens had taken pity on me and gave me a broken system?! And what’s with that name “Overpowered System”? Am I becoming Lin Fan now? Will I be a Dragon amongst men?
While he almost puked blood, he was still overjoyed. A name like Overpowered System could not possible be sh*t. He could not wait to test out his newfound strength.
He looked at the direction of the youths and a devious smile crept onto his face, ” Daddy’s coming.”

The Blood Queen
The rain fell from the sky with ferocity and smashed into the pavement filling the air with the sound of a stampede. The noise was deafening as I struggled to stand up. The blood from my wound was covering the ground beneath me and I covered it with my hand as I pushed off the pavement. On my feet now I struggled to step towards the grass. Through the howling wind and pounding raindrops I could hear what sounded like a chant, calling me and drawing me towards the cliffs edge. "Vienna, my Queen, my blood Queen" I started to move my feet faster until I could run towards the edge. Only when I was at the edge did I turn and look back one last time at the castle behind me. I could see him standing on the balcony, he was screaming my name. I could just hear it over the rain. I unclipped my red cape and whispered goodbye to him. As he jumped off the balcony to run towards me I leaned backwards and let my body fall with the rushing water to the river far down below. I carried her whispers with me to the dark edge until they vanished.
