I started writing this first chapter on 11 April 2015

Please take note that english is my 4th language and that this is my first work.

Iv'e tried to use word counter to correct any main grammar issue but I might of

still miss some words

This novel is driven by my own dreams , I hope you enjoy.

Elles Village

Neo , a 4 years old young boy , smaller than others for his age with short bowl cut black hair and yellow eyes like a golden sun .Neo takes after his mom so one can mistake him for a girl.

Leila , Neo's mom is in her twenties with golden eyes and long black hair , big breast ,hips and bottom .Neo father is Ensz brown hair and brown eyes , his body is built like a athlete.

Ensz is a captain of the soldiers who reside in the village made out of villager originally since the village is poor and can't fund a real troops like other kingdoms and city.

Leila-"Neo it's times for dinner stop playing and go wash your hands!"

"Yes mom!! coming!!"

I wonder if dad is coming home today...

as I wash my hands I notice the sky getting darker ,everyone rushes outside to look up including my mom.

Leila-"O my , a eclipse , Neo don't be afraid it will only last a couple of seconds"

"okay mom... but why is it purple everywhere?"

says Neo while holding his mom legs

Leila-"what you mean purple?"

Normally during a eclipse , which doesn't occur often only darken the area of the planet by blocking the sun for seconds, one can mistake it for night times but for Neo is different.

Neo's vision was all purple ,the houses , horses , floor and even his mom hair looked dark purple.

It was as if the sun ray itself was purple.

After 10 seconds , the moon goes away and everything is back to normal.

While eating dinner , of course without my father, my mom kept staring at me and then she said

Leila-"Neo , you will turn 5 soon , mommy will bring her tool to test your element affinity okay?"

"Yes mom, but can I become a Wizard just like you mom?"

Leila-"It will depend on your affinity, your mommy is a earth wizard after all but I can still supervise your mana training "

"so If I get a Earth affinity I will be to train with mommy? yay!"

Leila-"Neo, you still have to go to school , Hehehe"

"awwe but mom..."

Leila-"I will still train you if you are a earth magician but school is also important okay?"

"Yes mom.."

You see , my mom is a pretty above average rank wizard(rank 4) , she told me wizard rank are ranked by mana core. Each mana core has a different color the most basic and bottom rank color is blue , every living being start with blue mana energy.

If a dog was smart enough he could cast some basic spells and when he cast he will glow a slim blue fog. The highest mana core is a Red Core, While Warriors also has a system they train slightly different, Magician types focus on training their Core and affinity with equal balance and Warrior types train their Element more than their mana core.

For a Magicians to rank up they need knowledge equal to mana capacity by understanding and expanding the core by absorbing mana.

Warriors train their affinity more often and absorb the mana into the muscle tissue and cell allowing them superhuman abilities.

Warriors body itself glow because of the mana aura in the tissue while magicians will have thin colored fogs aura around them.

A Warriors of 100 F is capable of blocking a bull head-on while a 5000 F Warriors can elevate the ground by just stomping their feet,Although magician are rare and more useful in large combat , warriors are still fearful with their superhuman abilities.

(poor families can live up to a year with 1 silver R and they look like a little crystal circle token)

Aslong you are higher than rank 4 you will become a Wizard or a Knight and my dad is a rank 5 warrior...

I wonder if father can even protect mom... sigh

Well it doesn't matter when I grow up I will become the strongest and I will protect my families and whoever is dear to me so I don't need a father who never comes home hmmp!

Waking up every morning I'd eat breakfast then read books about wizard until noon , why wizard? is because I want to be just like mom , also because wizard are wanted by big kingdom like the Vale kingdom !! the biggest and richest kingdom in the continent, they even pay up to 10 Silver R a day for Wizards!!

So to achieve my goal I usually go outside for a run every afternoon since I am not at the age to train my mana core yet because below 5 years old your body isn't strong enough to absorb mana yet so instead of wasting times I decided to train my stamina so that I can run away whenever I need to! Not because im afraid!

=== 5 month later ==

Leila-"Happy Birthday my dear Neo!!"

"Yayyy thank you mom!! is Dad gonna be home today?!"

after a slight hesitation ,Leila show a sad expression.

Leila-"Sorry dear.. Your father is busy training the soldiers because of the recent beast attacks..Please understand that father love you very much and he is protecting us from those beast"

"Yes mom I understand.."

Then after my birthday feast my mom gave me a birthday present , It was a magician robe with a hood! I was so happy I even wore it when I went jogging , showing off my robe to everything that move , horse , dogs , bird ,frogs you name it . After returning home for supper my mom decided to test and see what kind of affinity I possess.

Leila-"Okay Neo , before eating let's find out what type of wizard you are"

with a smile on her face , while Neo couldn't stop jumping up and down of excitement

"Quick mom!!"

Leila then took out her magic tool that look like a perfect circle glass orb with another little glass circle on the inside , she poke my index finger with a little knife and my tear drop of blood felt on the orb.

The orb has no reaction , at all.

Leila-"Hmmm weird... I wonder if its broken"

Neo excitement is gone , Leila decide to drop her blood on the orb , the orb then glow brown it meant that she is a Earth element.

"Mom , why doesn't it work for me?.. are you sure I have to be 5? maybe is 6?"

Leila-"No son.. I took the test myself on my 5th birthday, lets go see granny okay son?"

"Okay mom but why do we have to see granny ?"

Leila-"Granny Bai is also a wizard but not only she is a wizard she is also a Oracle , granny can tell for sure what is your affinity"

"Uhhh okay mom.."

They arrive in Granny Bai resident , It look like a old rundown house made out of wood with vines on the side but everyone calls it a temple for some reason..

Leila-"Granny Bai , I am sorry to bother you but could you please tell me what affinity is my son Neo?"

GBai-"Ohh.. my dear Leila you are not a bother , do not worry... Neo ,son come close to granny Bai will you"

Neo then walk slowly like a turtle toward the sitting granny who has her eyes close , she looks like she could turn into dust from a single touch therefore Neo didn't want to accidently fall on her because he is afraid of breaking her bone her accidently

GBai-"Neo , why are you walking so slow? I might die even before you get to me hahahaha..hurry up"

"yes granny "

Finally reaching granny Bai , she takes Neo hand and open her white eyes and look deep into Neo's golden eyes.

After 1 hour Granny Bai finally let go of his hand and close her eyes again , she started to tremble

Neo goes back and sit beside her mother and they look at each other with worries

Leila-" Granny Bai , what seem to be the problem?.. Why did it take so long?.."

GBai-"Leila dear.. Neo son.. doesn't have any affinity..."

Leila expression was as if she saw a ghost while Neo look confused then Leila say

Leila-"But Granny.. that's impossible , every living being is born with mana.."

GBai-"You are right dear but that is only for mana.. Yes Neo has mana but he has no affinity and its possible 1 out of 1 billion to be born without affinity.. because Neo doesn't have affinity he can never use his mana all Neo can do is expand his mana core and live on.."

(Is like having a gun with no bullet)

Leila-"But granny! that means Neo can't even be a normal human!"

says Leila in a angry tone

"Mom.. is okay"

Neo understanding that he is even less capable than a normal human , he had lost all hope , he couldn't even be a magician or a warrior..

he grab Leila's hand and walk back home

They both bow and leave Granny Bai's temple.

While walking Leila tried to comfort Neo by telling him he can always be a farmer or a merchant

Neo notice that his mom was worried so he just look at her and smiled with no emotion left in his eyes

"Its okay Mom , don't worry about me I'll just read alot of books and forget about being magician "

Leila was really sad and couldn't come up with anything else to comfort Neo

=== 3 Years later ===

Neo is now 8 years old , ever since he got back from Granny Bai's temple , he shut himself in his room , at most he never left the house and kept reading books or sleeping. Leila tried to convince him to go play with the kids or go to school but she gave up.

She couldn't handle seeing Neo emotionless face , It made her cry every times she did.

Even when his father was finally home , Neo didn't even show any expression.

Then one night Neo notice his mom belly getting bigger. Leila notice that he kept staring and her belly , she said that he would soon have a little brother or a little sister Neo surprised but didn't show any emotion he just said one thing

" Oh..."

Leila ,sad again she start crying and ran out the room and then

*BAAAAM*

and you could hear Leila's painful moans.

Neo quickly got up and went downstairs and sees Leila laying on the floor with her hands on her belly crying

" MOM!!! What happened! does it hurt anywhere?!"

Leila-"Neo...mommy felt down the stairs.. please go get daddy.."

"Okay mom!"

Neo soon ran out the house with a worried expression toward the border of the village in a tent he then saw his dad

"DAD!!"

Ensz-"Neo what's wrong what are you doing outside in the middle of the night"

"It's mom *puff* *puff* she felt down the stairs"

Ensz face soon turned ugly , he ran at high speed toward the house , so fast Neo couldn't see him anymore.

After Neo reaches home he saw his dad carrying his mom into their bed.

Leila fainted while tears still flowing down, Luckily she just hurt her legs and the baby is safe then Leila muttered.

Leila-"Sorry...Neo.......is my fault.."

She kept blaming herself even in her sleep and because of that Neo start crying and Ensz showed a angry face , he took Neo by the neck and threw him into the kitchen walls

Ensz-"IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT , YOU ARE INCOMPETENT AND MADE HER BLAME HERSELF , IT'S YOUR FAULT THAT YOU HAVE NO TALENT , NOT HER'S WHY DO YOU KEEP TORTURING YOUR MOM WITH YOUR EMOTIONLESS FACE.. that's it , get out of my house and never show your face here again.. NOW!!"

Neo was so scared he ran out of the house crying

"It's all my fault *sniff* *sniff*"

Neo kept running toward the forest without knowing , west of Elles village was a normal forest with wild animals called the Leem Forest ,it's where most of the people from the village hunt animals for their meat , skin and leather.

Neo kept running and running , he ran out of breath a long times ago but he couldn't feel tired because of his fear and sorrow , he trips in the forest often because of the uneven terrain , has alot of scratch and wound from the branches and rocks but Neo couldn't stop running. Suddenly Neo hear a wolf howl , then moment after he find himself in the middle of a wolf pack.

"There is at least 12 wolves...did they found me because of my blood.."

Neo agitated in the middle , looks around everywhere he found a ravine and without a seconds thought he sprint toward the ravine , the wolf who was infront of him only manage to leave a bite mark on Neo's left arm

Finally on the edge of the ravine , Neo jumps but then he realise the ravine wasn't small as he thought it would be , because is night times he couldn't see it clearly.

Neo felt down into the ravine and the wolves gave up and left.

Neo reach the floor and fainted. He woke up and muttered

"Ugh..... my arms... my leg it hurt.. my body...."

Neo fainted again

After being unconscious for 2 days he finally woke up, he look around and tried to stand up , he couldn't see anything even during daytimes because the sun light is blocked by the trees.

He couldn't even stay on his feet without the support of the rocky wall because he had a broken ankle. He tried looking for an way out , after a whole day , he was hungry and out of energy , finally Neo gave up.

He lay back down , started toward the sky to gaze at the star while slowly dying with no emotion , he couldn't see the sky because of the tree branches and leaves

" I wish these leaves and branch would disappear so I can see the stars.."

Neo really wanted to see the stars for the last times , he imagined the leaf and branch gone and imagined stars behind them

suddenly a black circle, it appear like a black globe devoured the branches and leaves leaving nothing, not even a single piece of branch or leaf felt

Neo surprised he sat back up and look up the sky with a confused expression then he looks at his hand and thought of the black globe he saw, suddenly a black sphere appeared and floated on his hand

"What is this... my element?....no there's no element like this , its not earth , fire , water or wind... is it something I created?"

Neo proceed and push his hand toward the wall, without a sound he touched the wall , he could see the hole ..

"What..... there is a trail of light wherever I move my ball"

He notice his sphere is like a eraser , erasing the branch , leaf , rock and darkness...

Neo made the ball bigger , twice his size and then made it disappear , the darkness was gone around him

" I can even erase the darkness , what kind of element is this?!"

Neo proceed and create a small black sphere around him and tried to move it, after a long hour , it moved bit by bit , he couldn't move it as he please , he had to set a point A and a point B then the sphere moves toward where he wants to with a straight line

"yay!!! I mov...ed... t...."

*zzzzzzzZzzzzz*

Neo collapsed , and felt asleep , he spent too much mana for the night but he had a high mana capacity because of his lovely mom Leila which gave him more control over his unknown element that remove everything that exist..
