《Mecha In Cultivation World》44- Cute?

Ambrose quickly moved out of the Rhino's way and so did Vita. "It has gone crazy," Ambrose said looking at the mad Rhino.
It was the Giant Rhino at Martial Master Level Six the one Ambrose was having difficulty defeating. One of its eyes was impaled by Vita through her arrow. And red blood was streaking down through it.
It was angry because of so many members of his pack were already dead and now he was also injured. It's another eye also turned red in anger.
Like a bull, it lowered his head and then a red glow appeared on the sharp horn. Like it was a red hot iron rod. Blood form its eye moved to his mouth and there mixing with saliva dripped down on the dusty soil. Its small tail wiggled madly behind him as his hind leg blowed some soil back in anger.
Ambrose was standing right in front of a giant elephant tree while Vita was standing beside him. He had a dumbfounded expression on his face as his mechanic hands lowered down in a stance to dodge at any moment.
Vita also moved her Bow in front of her chest and stretched the string to full power. Her eyes as calm as water and even her breath stopped. Not a single part of her body was moving even her hairs and dress were still. Her eyes interchanged in seven colours of the rainbow as she let loose both her forefinger and middle finger from the rustic arrow.
With a 'twing' the arrow moved through the air creating a heavy air pressure around it. It moved over Ambrose's shoulder and while sweeping a large amount of dust, it embedded itself into the Big Rhino.
Ambrose had difficulty seeing both the arrow and the Rhino because of the huge dust cloud and if not for his mecha he may as well be swept with such heavy wind. His head first moved back to look at the calm expression on Vita's face and he could tell by her expression that the Rhino was dead.
Quickly turning around he looked for Rhino and only after a few seconds when the dust settled down did he saw the Giant body on the ground. Its horn was in pieces and scattered around in the dirt while the arrow was still embedded at the place where previously the horn was.

With wide eyes, he looked back at Vita. "Now tell me who is the real monster?"
Vita ignored his question and moved towards the dead Rhino to pull her arrow out of its head.
Ambrose looked at the other remaining Rhinos, all of them running back as their leader was already dead. Ambrose decided not to chase them as there were already enough bodies for the Jinx and he didn't want to encounter another Freak like that half-elf today, he has already had enough for the time being.
The Blaze Jinx moved out of his bag and looking at all of the Rhinos, her eyes glimmered with greed and she looked at Ambrose with an approving expression.
"You are not gonna take his beast Core? After all, it was you, who killed it." Ambrose saw that Vita backed up after getting her arrow back. She didn't look interested in the Rhino anymore.
"A gift from me to this cute buddy." She squatted near the yellow cat and patted her head. The cat also closed her eyes in comfort and a smile formed on her face.
"Cute? Her?" Ambrose asked with his eyes narrowed.
Vita and the cat simultaneously looked at him with a confused expression. 'Obviously.' Was written all over their face.
"Are your eyes defected? Can't you see how cute she is?" Vita stood up leaving the cat to rip out beast cores form the animals.
Ambrose just sighed and moved a step back. "Nevermind. By the way, do you know about that Half Fae?"
"No, I just figured looking at her. Although she looked like a human, however, her blue eye betrayed her. She used the special ability that some Fae's has."
"Hmm... Why do you think she was here? And what about her team?" Ambrose remembered how she had five more guys with her, all of them under her control. Could that be her team?
"I don't know. Have you ever heard about Fae before?" Vita looked at him with a curious expression?
"Are they rare?"
Vita smiled. "Yes, Quite rare actually, for her to come at this place, every teacher must have their eyes on her."
"I have met one before, however, she was more powerful than this half-Fae. She was a Dark Fae," Ambrose said casually.

Vita's eyes widened in surprise. "Dark Fae?" She then noticed Ambrose's emotions, he was not lying. He has actually seen a Dark Fae before and he is even taking it casually, as if he meets them daily.
"Yes, a Dark Fae. She was very powerful. Have you met a Fae Before?"
"Maybe. But tell me, how do you manage to stay alive after seeing a Dark Fae?"
It was at this question Ambrose realised that he has said more than he should. Form the way Oscar and his team treated him, he never looked at them as dangerous people.
"Don't be nervous, I will tell no one." Vita looked into his eyes.
Ambrose narrowed his eyes, 'How did this girl figure out I am nervous? Is it that apparent?'
"We became friends. Maybe that's why she left me alive. A friend does leave another friend alive right?"
A smirk formed on Vita's face, 'This guy is more mysterious than I imagined.'
"Do you think you can introduce me to your friend?"
"No." Ambrose shrugged his shoulder. "I don't know where she is currently at. However, if I ever met them, I will make sure to introduce her to you. As thanks, for saving my life today," He said and looked down at the cat, who was tugging on his mecha legs.
"What?" He frowned, however, the next moment his frown turned into shock and then in excitement. A huge smile formed on his face. He spotted a high-quality Spirit Stone in the cat's mouth.
"Looks like that Half Fae dropped it accidentally," Vita said looking at the cat.
Ambrose on the other hand was extremely overjoyed. 'My new mecha.' His eyes glimmered and he reached out with his both hand to hug the Jinx, however, in the next second his excitement broke and turned into terror and then into depression.
The cat gulped the spirit stone and then a teasing smile formed on her face. She was mocking Ambrose. With a nonchalant expression, she walked away and moved on Vita's shoulder, rubbing her head against her cheek.
Ambrose on the other had completely broken down from inside. It was like his soul has left his body. His hands hanging from his shoulder and his eyes also turned emotionless.
Vita looked at Ambrose and started laughing, she was amused at the relationship between this cat and Ambrose. It felt like both of them were best friends that hate each other.
She looked around and saw that the cat has already eaten all the beast cores form the Rhinos, her body then turned around and she started moving. "Are you gonna stand and wait here?" She asked looking that Ambrose was still standing at his place with a soulless expression.
Listening to Vita he looked up and then slowly started moving behind her back in a dead state. His back curved and his hands hanging down.
Vita just smiled and moved, "Let's go to the academy grounds if you don't want to meet that half fae again."
In all the events, Ambrose forgot to ask, why she followed him here. He was in too much shock from the stupid cat eating the precious Spirit Stone. He could have unlocked a good quality mecha from it and with its help, he may have been able to get even more Spirit Stones.
However, in the end, this glutton cat ruined it all for him. However, before leaving the place he didn't forget to pick up three dead Rhinos with him. He found out that he could also place dead animals in his beast bag, however, the quantity remained the same three.
'I may be able to fetch some money for these bodies.' He thought and jumped behind Vita, both of them quickly reached the academy grounds.
"So, where do you plan to go?"
Ambrose let out a breath and smiled, he has already placed the spirit stone thing at the back of his mind. "I will go to see my mother."
"Nice, so meet you in six days?"
Ambrose nodded and took the reluctant Jinx from her shoulder and placed it on his. Soon enough he left Vita while removing his mecha. He didn't wanna attract attention while he moved through the city.
Looking at the cat on his shoulder he sighed. "Let's first go to the market and sell those three Rhinos, we may even be able to buy some gifts for mom too."
The cat nodded and opened its mouth, revealing a shining blue crystal on her tongue.

8 397Tome of Stealth [A System Anti-Apocalypse]
When the Passivity Precept takes over the world it snuffs out all brutality, leaving its MMO-like Violence Simulator as humanity's only source of physical violence. Knowing how much she can make from selling epic gear, Grace Winston enters the simulation and discovers that it's more than just a game. Somewhere in there are the answers to who started the fire that killed her father. For far too long, Lorevinel Silvercat has been stuck as the Ravenborn clan’s free-roaming prisoner. They’ve held a grudge against his clan and have used him to vent their hatred. Having planned his escape for several years, he has everything ready, but he needs a specific artifact from the Rogues Guild to finally start his journey. Will Grace find her answers? Will Lore gain his freedom? Can these two unlikely people, both alien to each other, find common ground and work together while dealing with an unasked for soul bond? ToS is a Lite LitRPG (meaning very few stats with a focus on story). Expect cursing, sexual tension, descriptions of breeding dungeon rats, and a little gore. TL;DR- The System Anti-Apocalypse forces everyone to be peaceful and only commit violence inside its Magical VR game.
8 375Rise of the First Necromancer
Asrael Nessarat awakes on a sandy dune with a mouthful of sand and nothing but tattered rags in his posession. As the High Magus of the school of Necromancy, he once aspired to prove to the Emperor that magic still held a place in their society. But that day came, passed and inevitably accelerated his kind's downfall. Now; they are hunted, strung up and burned on pyres throughout the Empire by the Emperor's holy Inquisition- an efficient and ruthless army hell-bent on bleeding every last droplet of magic from the lands. With nothing but a mouthful of sand and tattered rags; Asrael is determined to seek the one thing his cold, still heart desires. Vengeance. This story can, at times, get very dark. It is not recommended for the faint of heart. This is not a story of an overtly powerful wizard who can pulverize his enemies from across the world, nor is it in any way, shape or form a joyous tale. We follow Asrael as he and his companions explore and seek to change an unjust world, where kindness and acceptance are exceptions, rather than the rule. If you are looking for a story to inspire hope or joy, this is not it. If you wish to read about likeable, heroic people, turn around. If you wish to see good battle evil, where the cut in between is clear, then this is not for you.
