《Mecha In Cultivation World》41- Self Taught

The whole area around them turned heavy like someone has placed a mountain over their heads. It was even hard to breathe in such a condition.
Edgar that was moving back slowed down and looked at constant and his eyes widened. He could feel a cold killing intent coming from his cousin. And one that he never felt before, it was like a demon was looking down on him.
Vita also felt the pressure and grabbing Theo's hand she moved back."It's better if we stay away from him."
"What his happening? Can you explain?" Theo looked at Vita with a confused expression.
"Latter, first back up." She then looked at Audrey. "Audrey, you too move away from him."
However, Audrey didn't listen to her words. She instead grabbed constant's hand. "Brother stop, this is not the correct spot for it and one stray head is not a big deal."
"He is not listening to you, his body is already shrouded with rage. Quickly move back." Vita tried to persuade her again.
Edgar looked at the enviourmet and gulped his saliva. Holding the Stray head tightly in his hand he turned around to escape. However, suddenly...
"Clank..."
The sound of bone hitting with metal resounded on the area. A Yellow looking mechanical humanoid ape with four arms appeared and it punched hard at Edgar's face and the punch was so fast that he didn't even get time to dodge.
Suddenly the enviourmet cooled down. The silence first got broken by many birds that were immobilized on the trees because of a terrifying aura. All of them flew up while making chirping noises.
Blood flew out of Edgar's nose as his body landed on the ground, his consciousness almost leaving his body.
Vita quickly reacted and shot an arrow at his left leg so that he won't run away.
Constant looked at Edgar on the ground and his rage cooled down. Backing up a step, he looked at Audrey and then looked away. He didn't wanna meet his eyes with hers. However, suddenly a heavy punch landed on his face that made him fall to the ground.
"You stupid piece of shit! You scared the living hell out of me!" Audrey yelled and started kicking Constant in his stomach.
"Stop... Stop... I won't do it again..."
All of them looked at the brother and sister and a dumb expression appeared on their faces. Even Edgar, who was on the ground and had an arrow in his leg hand a dumb expression on his face.

Vita let out a sigh and looked at the Yellow armoured man.
"Who are you?" Theo moved a step and asked.
"Ambrose," Vita said from the side and turned silent.
Theo turned around and looked at Vita, he then looked at Ambrose and then again turned around to look at the silent girl.
"Am I the only one who has no idea of what is going on here? First Constant and then Ambrose. I mean we are a team right?"
Vita just stayed silent at his words and moved towards Audrey. While Ambrose removed his mecha and the Jinx came and sat on his shoulder. "I have told you before that I craft armour," He said with 'I am not guilty' expression.
Theo just sighed and moved towards constant. "What happened bro? From now on we are a team and I think you have some explaining."
"It's none of your business. And what team? We would just complete missions so that we can enter the Academy peacefully," Constant said and stood up. Dusting his clothes to remove all the dirt.
Audrey looked at Theo with an apologetic expression. "I am sorry for his rudeness. I hope you can understand but we want to keep this private."
Theo just took in a deep breath and nodded. "Don't worry..."
"You should first bandaid your hand," Vita said as she held Audrey's bleeding hand.
While Theo moved towards Ambrose.
"Let's get, what is ours," Ambrose said and picked up the stray head that was on the ground.
Theo nodded. "I thought you were the only normal guy in the group and now I even doubt that."
Ambrose looked at him and smiled. "Don't worry, I am not abnormal. I just know how to craft some armour. Anyway, we can be friends if you want."
Theo smiled at his words. He came to this place to make friends and have a good relationship with his group. However, till now he was facing one bizarre thing after another. Now as Ambrose has moved his hand for friendship, he was happy.
"Friends then." He said and shook his hand with Ambrose.
"Give me that head." Constant came forward and looked at Ambrose with an imposing expression.
Ambrose looked at him and tossed the head on the ground again. And started tying Edgar up with a vine he found in the jungle. He was basically saying 'get it yourself' to constant.

Constant narrowed his eyes and took the head by himself. After that, he took in a deep breath. "You have done a good job today." He said and moved around, not wanting to look at Ambrose.
Theo looked at him and smiled. Ambrose was shocked. How could this arrogant guy praise someone? Especially someone as poor as him? "Thanks," he said, however, got no reply form him.
"He is not half bad." Theo moved and also helped in tying Edgar.
Edgar on the other hand sighed and accepted defeat. "At least pull that arrow out of my leg and bandaid it."
Theo chuckled at his words. "Buddy, why you gotta trouble this guy?"
Edgar rolled his eyes back. "I never knew he was this powerful. I don't think anyone in our family knows about this. Ouch... Be Gentle."
Ambrose tied the last knot and stood up. He looked at Theo and others. "What now? Should we leave this guy here?"
"Have any other ideas?" Constant asked with one of his brows raised.
"What do you say, boy? Will your partners come back and get you? You may even get attacked by beasts if left alone in this place."
"Huh..." Edgar chuckled. "What do you think of me? Do you think this stupid vine can hold me?"
Audrey came near him and kicked him in the face. "This is for cutting my wrist."
"Cousin, your girl already shot me twice. Didn't she?" Edgar said while looking at Vita. His eyes were hostile.
Constant took out his sword and pointed at him. "If I ever see you near us again. You know where I am gonna put this sword right?"
Edgar snorted and got laid on the ground. "You can leave now. I will not follow you. However, keep in mind, inside the Academy the competition is hard and I will not be left behind."
"We will see." Constant looked at the rest. "I think it's enough for today. Let's get back to the academy and submit this head."
Audrey kicked Edgar again in the face and then with a smile, started moving behind constant.
Vita finally cast a look at Ambrose and also started following them.
Theo has a dumb expression on his face as he looked at Edgar rolling on the ground in pain.
"You coming or not?" Ambrose said as he moved.
Theo nodded. "Let's go to the academy for now."
On the way to the academy Audrey, Vita and Constant were moving ahead, while Theo and Ambrose moved in the back.
Ambrose looked at Constant and sighed. There was something wrong with the guy. The power he felt today was not normal. He didn't even feel such power when he met Oscar and his team. It may be because they weren't showing their power. However, the power he felt form constant was no joke.
'I have to be careful of this guy.' He thought and looked at Vita. She was also hard to understand, she may look weak and inconspicuous, however, she was the one that attacked and injured Edgar twice.
"Hey, that armour was cool." Theo broke up his internal talk.
Ambrose turned his head and nodded. "It was nothing. Just a simple armour."
"Simple Armour? Don't be so modest. I think I am the weakest in the group now, I have to work hard."
"Don't worry, you will be a great leader."
"Leader..." Theo murmured and looked at Constant. "I don't think I can lead such monsters."
Ambrose stayed silent. He didn't wanna be the fake enthusiastic guy. Even he was unsure of Constant.
"Well, tell me about you, where are you from? We haven't got time to introduce ourselves properly."
"I am from a small village at the border of the Golden Falcon kingdom."
"Small village?"
"Yes, pretty small. Even getting good food there could be troublesome sometimes."
"And you learned making armour at your small village? Who taught you?"
Ambrose turned silent at his question and then looked at him. "I taught myself."
Theo raises his brows at his answer. How could someone from a backwater Village self-learn to make such great armour? He could tell that Ambrose was hiding something. However, he didn't wanna dig into his private life too much.
"You must have good talent to self learn to such mastery."

Hiding in the broken building of her old high-school, seventeen-year-old Marylou is one of the few to have survived this far. She doesn't believe in the Ghosts -- shapeless creatures said to roam under the rain outside -- but, to be fair, she doesn't really believe in anything except booze and the unconditioned love of her ball python snake, Evil Noodle. Chance brings Marylou together with Amy, a mysterious girl with an even more mysterious past, and Dean and Ray, two young men running what they call 'the last pizza place in California'. As the Storm rages on stronger by the day, the foursome will have to make a choice: keep hiding under roof after roof, waiting for starvation, or set out to the road and face whatever hides out there, under the Storm.

San wants nothing more than to best Ty and do what none of his kind has ever done before: defeat a child that has made "the choice." But Ty will stop at nothing to fight back against everything San's got in order to face his fears and grow up. Because, if he doesn't, he will end up a kid forever. Or, worse...never wake up again. This story is perfect for you if you are a fan of Coraline and Kingdom Hearts, both of those stories greatly inspired this one. I have recently added the Isekai tag after being unsure if it counts or not. I've decided it fits the description of what it is but not the current trends in the genre. If you go in with Coraline in mind I think you will have a better idea of the kind of Isekai this is. And I've also added the Slice of Life tag, that is only for the first five or six chapters though, then Ty enters the dream world and it pretty quickly becoms a progression fantasy, a mix of more traditional fairy tale like trappings alongside more anime action and acquisition of slowly increasing powers. With all that out of the way, please enjoy! Updates every Tuesday and Thursday! What time of day? It's a mystery! (For now)
