《Mecha In Cultivation World》38- Snow stripped Butterfly

Ambrose looked at the Snow Stripped Butterfly that was flying around Vita. It had black and white stripes on its wings and there were multicoloured lines on the edges of its wings. Small fragments of luminous particles emitted from its wings as it flew around.
"Where did you get it from?"
Audrey asked again as she came near Vita with a silly smile on her face. Her eyes were constantly fixed on the Beast and the Black Bird on her shoulder looked at the Butterfly with even more hostility.
"Martial Master level five. This Beast is strong." Constant looked at the beast with both of his hands crossed in front of his chest and nodded in approval.
"A gift from someone," Vita replied as she took the butterfly over the back of her palm. Where the beast integrated itself into her hand as a black coloured tattoo.
Seeing it integrating with her hand a shocked expression appeared on Ambrose's face. The butterfly actually entered her skin and formed a tattoo over her skin what kind of the beast was it?
Ambrose was not the only one who was shocked by her butterfly. Even Theo had an unbelieving expression on his face. While Constant and Audrey acted like they have seen the fly before. However, they also had mesmerised expressions on their faces.
"Did it enter your skin?" Theo asked with a questioning look.
Constant looked at Theo and snickered at him. "This is a Light Affinity Beast. One of the rarest affinity to get. This kind of beast has many special abilities. They can even be integrated with their partners and provide them with special abilities."
"Wow, that's amazing. What kind of abilities do you have Vita?" The guy asked.
Vita looked at Theo and then blinked her eyes. The colour of her pupils changed. They become multicoloured just like a rainbow. "I can see things that normal people can't." She said and then the colour in her eyes dimmed down.
Constant and Audrey listened to her and confused expressions appeared on their faces. "From what I know. Snowstripped Butterflies gives you bows and arrows and not special eyesight." Audrey said.
"Mutated." Vita just said one word and looked away. She is already tired from seeking this much and doesn't want to speak a single word more.
"A mutated Snow stripped butterfly as if it was already not good enough." Audrey was very impressed by her.

Even constant had an impressed expression on his face. Ambrose also looked at the tattoo with curious eyes.
"Let's move on or Edgar and his team will catch the Black Strays before us." Constant started moving again.
While Audrey stuck with Vita as she tried to make her talk. Theo was the most depressed one. He wanted to make friends when he came to Capital. However, no one seems to be interested in him.
Same with Ambrose. No one was talking to him too. However, he was not bothered by it. He was an introvert, to begin with. This was the perfect setting for him. He even wished that no one paid any attention to him.
Looking around he saw that the Yellow Devil was currently sleeping happily over Audrey's head. While the Black Bird sat over her head.
His face twitched when he looked at the cat. She was too lazy to chase away the bird on her head. It was like she only wakes up to eat and poop.
"Let's go, boy," Theo said and then patted his horse. He then sat on it's back.
Ambrose came near him and smiled.
"Bro, how did this horse fit in your bag?" He asked. He has seen how these beasts popped out if their bags one by one. And he has somewhat guessed how. However, he was not too sure. He has seen the spatial rings before in the games he played.
And he also knows about spatial bags that could store a different kind of living beings.
"Oh... You don't know?" That was a Beast Pouch. It can easily accommodate any living being in a small space. These are crafted by special space alchemists and are quite expensive.
"My father gifted it to me on my sixteenth birthday. " He said with a smile.
"How much did it cost?" Ambrose asked. He wanted to buy one for himself too. He can't seem to carry around that lazy girl all over the place with him that would be too much of hassle. It would be far more convenient if he could get a bag like that for his beasts.
"I think it cost around hundred middle-grade spirit stones," Theo said as he tried to remember the exact price by looking at the sky.
Ambrose just wanted to end his life after hearing the price. A hundred Middle-grade spirit stones mean ten thousand low-grade ones. That was the same price as his next mecha.

'I will first open my mecha. Then move my mom inside the wall. And only after that, I will buy such luxurious items.' Ambrose thought and sighed. He can't afford such luxuries right now. It would be wise to wait for some time and be patient.
"Look a Grizzly Cougar!" Theo pointed at a treetop from where a big brown coloured furry Cougar was looking down on them. It had long pointed ears with hairs forming a spindle at the end. Its brown eyes were covered by a circumference of charcoal-like black.
Its height was about one meter. The Beast revealed its yellow canine at the group and then jumped down in front of them.
It growled as the folds over its black nose raised in anger. They have intruded his territory and now it's time for them to die.
The Cougar slowly moved towards them looking at their every moment.
"Guys this beast is at Martial Master Level five. Be careful its pack must be nearby." Everyone except Constant and Ambrose was at Martial Master Level Five and so were their beasts.
Even Constant's Fire Tiger was only at Martial Master Level Five. Defeating this Cougar would be as easy as flipping a pebble for them. However, his pack should be nearby and if more like it came. It would really be trouble to defeat them.
Audrey's ring flashed and a Bow and arrow appeared in her hand. She placed the arrow over the bow. Pulled it and then released it on the Cougar's head.
"Swish..."
The arrow moved through air piercing it and entered the Beast's forehead. Killing it in just one shot. The Beast didn't even get time to let out a shriek before it died.
"A Refined Treasure," Theo said as he looked at the Emerald coloured Bow in Audrey's hand.
"I was gonna kill it!" Constant looked at his sister and said in an annoyed tone.
"Well, I killed it now."
Constant just snorted and moved towards the dead Cougar. It was already dead and it didn't even get time to let out any voice to call its friends.
Constant slashed down his sword in its abdomen and pulled out a beast core from it.
"Hey, that's mine." Audrey looked at her Brother picking up the Beast core and an annoyed expression appeared on her face. She was the one that killed the Beast so rightfully this Core should be hers. However, now her brother is trying to take it from her.
"Well, it's mine now." Suddenly a small shadow appeared from the sky and took the core away from constant's and. It was so fast that Constant didn't even get the time to react.
"Edgar! I will kill you!" Constant said as he pointed his sword at the thin man standing in front of him.
"No, you won't. And by the way, this is jungle and law of jungle applies here. Whoever has the thing in his hands is its owner." He said and then popped the core in his mouth.
"Oh... Sorry, I was really hungry." Edgar said with laughter. The other guys with him also laughed.
"You know you will never catch me with my Martial Master Level Eight Shadow Surfer. It is more powerful then any beast you have ever had." A small black hallow suddenly appeared around him and entered his neck creating a tattoo on it.
Constant gritted his teeth looking at the tattoo on Edgar's neck. Audrey's face was also completely red after she saw Edgar getting the beast core. She wanted to kill this guy.
However, because he had a Shadow Surfer. He could run very fast by integrating to it. Catching him with their speeds would be very hard for them.
"You give back my core!" Audrey said. Although she didn't fancy that core. It was still something she earned and now this guy has dared to steal and eat it in front of her. She will not let him have peace till he gives her core back.
Even if she had to complain to her uncle she will not let this piece of shit get away with this. He deserved to be punished.
"Oh... Sister Audrey. I didn't know that the Core was yours. Or I would have never dared to touch it. Otherwise, you would have cried like a baby in front of my father." Edgar said and laughed with his group.
"You!" Constant swung his sword and a red coloured flash emitted from it.

A New Leaf
When people mention fantasy games and RPGs, they usually think of goblins, elves, orcs, dwarves and magic (apart from the percentage that gets an image of an anti-tank weapon in their mind, I will respectfully put those individuals aside for now). But what if you get neither of those (not even the weapon, I know, sad)? And what if you end up playing as something that doesn't look like an animal at all? And what if the said game you were playing weren't actually a game, but real life changed by irresponsible, beyond-mortal beings? Follow the (mis)adventures of "player" 13241, a.k.a. Treant, as he experiences what it's like to be a walking magical fruit maker (among other things). When the world goes to hell and back, plants are the ones that remain, right?

Phantom Storm
"Have you heard, the entire Bonanno crew was brutally murdered!" Exclaimed a youth in his early teens. "What? you're lying, again!" Another similarly aged child responded with crisp denial in his tone. After all, the crew was infamous for their ruthlessness. An eery silence passed between them. Soon enough, the teens' curiosity trumped his ego, and he found himself inquiring in a meek voice. "So...Who did it?" "I heard my father talking about it while he was drunk. Guess what he said?..." The child responded, he was a natural-born storyteller. Listening intently, the other teen urged him on. "It was done by a single person. When the police arrived, the bodies were charred black, likely the work of an electro mage. Most had an arrow or two lodged in their body, and a few were even chopped into neat little slices by a sharp blade." He paused, inhaling sharply. "All the victims had shocked expressions on their faces. As if the enemy was invisible or something. That's why they call that person the Phantom Storm!" concluded the adolescent with an excited glint in his eyes. 2 CHAPTERS PER WEEK (Canada time) [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] -------------------------------------------- Follow Itsuki as he is reincarnated in an unfamiliar world, left to discover where he belongs in such a place. Cardinal of Sin
They say sin comes at a horrible price. Or...perhaps I'm misremembering the saying. Regardless, I'm usually inclined to agree with the aforementioned statement. When one is held hostage by their own carnal instincts; never being able to fully control their primitive impulses...Well, let's just say, it would destroy a lesser man. That, I know. I died because of my lack of self-control, after all. I must admit, though. I didn't expect to change this belief of mine after meeting my end, but here I am. Breathing. In a world I don't belong; a world of magic. Here I am, whisked into another reality with the power to sin. To conquer.
