Everybody listened to the Village Chief and slightly depressed expression appeared on everybody's face. Although they knew that they have to give money to him.
But still, fifteen silver coins were too much for poor villagers like them who do farming for their livelihood. This many coins could be the life savings for some.
Many let out sighs and started moving towards the Village Cheif Reluctantly.
"Come with me boy," Geis said as he started moving towards the village chief. He took out a white pouch with clinging sounds.
Ambrose nodded and then moved behind Geis slowly. He also took out the white pouch from his pocket that contained his fifteen silver coin.
Besides Village Chief, the man with Goatee was also standing there. He had a cloth paper in his hand as he marked all the names with a peacock feather.
The Goatee man also had a deadpan expression. He was doing his work as someone has pulled the soul out of his body. "Everybody move fast. We don't have all day. The Esteemed guest from the Golden Falcon Kingdom Could be here any time." Goatee Man Said like it was his duty.
Everybody looked at the condition of the Village Chief and the Rich People of the Village and started to talk about what happened to them.
"What do you think Happened to Village Chief? He looks like someone stole all his life savings. I have heard the news about his wheat shed getting burned last night. However, I don't think it was a big matter for Village Chief." A guy wearing black robe from the side of Nelson's father said.
"I don't think it's about the Wheat Shed. If it was about that then why would the rich guys be so deadpan? I think the Village Chief and the team has met with some kind of unfortunate incident during the search last night." A girl with blond hair replied.
"I think Village Chief didn't find any good herbs. That is the only reason that could make all of them sad at the same time." The Middle Age man that came with the Blond girl said.
When Village Chief and all of his team members heard about herbs. Anger flashed in their eyes. The Village Chief cast an angry gaze at the Middle Age man.
"You! You have to pay twenty silver coins instead of fifteen. Your mouth is too large for your calibre. Let's see how large can you make your pocket!" The village Chief declared in front of all of the Villagers.

"Yes. You, stupid poor people, dare to comment about us. If it's not for Village Chief's benevolent nature. All of you would have been dead long ago." The Goatee Man also released his frustration.
Everyone stopped at their place as the voice of Village Chief resounded in the open ground.
The middle-aged man that got rebuked, shivered and then kneeled down on the floor. Cold sweat formed on his body as tears started to fall down his eyes.
"Please forgive me Village Chief. I didn't mean to offend you. The Fifteen Silver Coin that you have asked for was all I have for my savings. I even borrowed some of it too. I would not be able to arrange any more money." The Middle-aged man said with a choked voice.
Everybody in the Village looked at the man and bowed their head down. No one wanted to offend the Chief anymore. As all of their kid's future were dependent on him.
If Village Chief wants than he can prohibit someone from giving the test.
The Blond girl also kneeled on the ground and started crying. "Please forgive my father Village Chief. He never wanted to offend you. Please, our family have always given tax on the correct time." The Blond said.
"What do you mean? The tax you give is for your own protection and increase of five silver coins are nothing. You can sell your Mana beast or your house to compensate for it!" Celia said as she came in front of the kneeling Villagers.
There was an expression of Disdain on her face. She looked down on poor people like them.
"You people are only alive because of my father. If not for him, you would have already died of mana beasts. People like you are like rodents. No matter how much sweets you are feed with you always end up in a gutter." Celia insulted all of the Villagers present there.
Everybody listened to her harsh words in silence. Like they were all dead. Not a single person replied.
'These people are too overbearing. They were already charging fifteen solver coins for this test. And now Village Chief is extorting even more money from some poor helpless Villagers.' Ambrose thought.
He wanted to help that man however if he did so it will only shift Village Chief's attention on him and that is the thing he didn't want to happen.

'Sigh! I can do nothing to save them.' He thought and then looked at Nelson. He also had a frustrated expression on his face. His hands were also clenched as he looked at Village Chief angrily.
Ambrose punched him lightly on the back to stop him from starting too much. If Village Chief spotted Nelson than it would be more trouble for Ambrose.
Nelson broke out of his stupor and understood what Ambrose meant. He quickly bowed down his head while letting out a sigh of regret.
'I hope I was strong enough to protect all the villagers. Currently, I can't even protect my family if the Village Chief wanted to kill us.' Nelson thought and then a determined expression appeared on his face.
'Although living low key is important. I have to sneakily make progress with my Mana Beast and only then would we we able to live in this Village Freely.' He thought and then nodded at Ambrose.
Ambrose knew what he meant. He was saying thanks for just now.
The Blond Girl listened to Celia's insult and started sobbing even more. "Please sister Celia. I beg you! We really don't have more money to give you. Please forgive us. I promise that I will work hard and return the rest of the money after the test." The Blong girl said.
"You Beggar! How dare you to argue with me!" Celia said and then looked at her father. "Father, I think these people have lost all their fears for us. Let me set an example today in front of all the people present here by killing both of them." She declared.
All the people backed up a step when Celia said about killing. They don't wanna come in between them. The people that were around the Kneeling couples were separated in a circle about three steps.
The Goatee man and all the rich guys were shocked at first however after that a smile formed on their faces. After all the things they have gone through the previous night, a good show like this will refresh their mood.
"Yes, Miss Celia. I think you should show them who runs this Village. This is a perfect opportunity for you to demonstrate your command that these villagers have forgotten these last few years." The Goatee man said while rubbing his hands.
The Village Cheif looked at his daughter and then nodded. "Little Celia. It's a perfect opportunity for you to test the Throat Crushing Blade art. After all, those who defy my orders should die." Village Chief said and a little excited look appeared on his face.
When Ambrose heard their talk his blood boiled to the extreme. He just wanted to kill both the Father and Daughter. However, he controlled himself as it's still doesn't involve someone he cares about.
He has rarely seen the Blond and her father in the Village as they live at the opposite end as his. And he has never talked to them in past.
And he was still not confident enough to kill the Village Chief. And even if he has the confidence then he couldn't kill him right now. As the people from the Golden Falcon Kingdom could be here anytime.
Ambrose doesn't want the people from Golden Falcon kingdom to see his mech. It would be hard for him to escape from them.
The middle-aged man finally stood up and then. slowly moved toward Village Chief. He then kneeled on the ground in front of him. "Please spare my daughter Chief. She is only sixteen this year. You can kill me if you want." The man said.
Village Chief looked at him almost touching his feet. A disgusted expression appeared on his face. "How dare you pathetic fool to touch my feet! Swine Pigs like you should be shattered with your whole family the moment you are born."
The Village Chief yelled and then stomped his foot on the man's head with full force. Making him puke out blood.
When the blond saw her father coughing blood she quickly ran towards him and held him in her hands. "Father! What happened to you! Please open your eyes." She said and then looked at Celia.
The Blond stood up and grabbed Celia's leg. "Please, Sister Celia, you can keep me as a slave for the rest of my life but please spare our lives."
Celia looked at her touching her clothes. Her face contorted in anger and she took out a blade from her back.
