《Mecha In Cultivation World》13- Mana Berries

Soon Enough the morning struck down. The golden rays of the sun painted the whole sky.
Ambrose stood up and moved out of his little house. He looked all around for his mom. After seeing that she was not present there, he let out a sigh of relief.
"Loos like she is not here. She must be still in the kitchen."
He sneakily moved towards the place he hid all his belonging and took out the Ice Mushroom and Ice Affinity Moss from it. He wrapped them around a red coloured cloth and moved away from the place.
"I have to mix it with the Rabbit soup and feed this moss to Nelson. That way he will be able to resist the fiery aura of Mana beasts"
These herbs were originally used by intaking them. Even if he gives the Moss to Nelson he would still have to eat it. So it was better for him to make him feed this secretly. He wanted to feed it to him by mixing it with Rabbit Stew that his mom will cook for breakfast.
'This Ice Moss would dissolve itself when it goes in his stomach and its icy aura will move through all the vital organs and then finally will enter his Dantian.' He thought.
Dantian was a place below the navel where all the natural Mana is stored. It is the most important place for any cultivator. If Dantain is destroyed one can't cultivate as no energies would be stored in that person.
'I hope Nelson brings some water herbs or I would not be able to explain that cold feeling when he eats the Rabbit Stew.'
Ambrose moved from his place and entered the small house. There were no rooms in his house. Only a small central hall. Where both he and his mom sleep on straw mats.
Although he has no complaints sleeping on the straw mat as with the help memories of the previous owner he has already accommodated on it. However, he himself has always slept on good cushiony mattresses.
The feeling of being poor just eats him from inside. He was never poor in his previous life. Now, he had to sleep almost on the floor without any pillows.
He wanted to get out of this place as soon as possible. He also wanted to give his mom the life that she deserved.

He placed the Ice Mushroom and Ice moss in his pocket.
"Knock! Knock!"
Knocks sounded on his wooden door. Ambrose shifted his gaze on the door and stood up. 'It must be Nelson. Looks like they were successful in finding water or if affinity herb.'
Ambrose grabbed the rustic metallic handle of the door and pulled it open. A smile formed on his face as he looked at Nelson.
Nelson also had a smile on his face. "Watts up?" Nelson said while showing his fist.
"Good," Ambrose said with a smile and lightly punched Nelson's fist.
"Let's talk inside." Nelson looked around and entered the room.
"So did you find any herbs?" Ambrose asked with a curious expression on his face.
Nelson sat on the straw mat and looked at him "How can I not? After all, this is for our future. I have just come out of the jungle with my father and the rest of the team. We, fortunately, found a huge patch of Blue Water Berries."
He said and then took out a handful of berries from his pocket. They looked blue and had brown coloured peduncle on it.
"My father and our whole team searched as far as we could in so less them and only found these Blue Water Berries. Although they are not of Ice affinity they will definitely help us to tame a good enough Fire Mana Beast that can help us catch some meat."
"After all we are just Village People. I don't have much ambition other than to feed my family. I only want some good meat and live the rest of my life without too much hassle."
"These Blue Water Berries should be good enough for us to catch some low-level beasts. We are after all not Village Chief's daughter whose ambition is to enter the Golden Falcon Academy."
"I can't even think about entering such a prestigious Academy," Nelson said as he gave the berries to Ambrose.
"Here take these and eat them slowly. It will fill your body with enough water Element for about twenty-four hours. You can resist them for enough time to tame one."
Ambrose looked at him and smiled. He took the Blue Water Berries from his hands. "Thank you so much, Nelson. I don't know if I would have been able to tame a beast without you." He said.

Nelson looked at him and punched him lightly in the chest. "We are friends after all. And it still will be hard to tame any beast with your cultivation. You should also bring these Fire Berries. Fire Element Mana Beasts would surely love them."
Nelson took out two Fire Berries from his other pocket secretly. "I only found five of them and secretly picked them up without telling anyone expect my father. This will make our lives ten times easier during the test."
"Fire Berries?" Ambrose said.
"Yes, these are the fire berries. If you feed them to one of the Fire Beast you wanna tame. It would be much easier to do so."
"As all the Fire Mana Beasts love Fire Affinity herbs. And yes don't show them to anyone else as I only found five. Of which you have two and I am keeping the rest." Nelson said and gave two of them to Ambrose.
"No, you don't need to do so. You have already given me the Water Berries." Ambrose said.
Nelson just forced the tangerine berries in Ambrose's hand. " I don't wanna hear no. And I have talked to my father about this. He has already given his permission."
"And you know that your father Died saving mine's life. This is the minimum we can do for you." Nelson said.
Ambrose smiled at his words and accepted the fire berries too. "You will not leave before eating the Rabbit Stew. Sit here and let me fetch some for you."
Ambrose stood up and then moved towards the kitchen. He knew that his mom was preparing the Rabbit Stew for the past four hours. It was not like it take so much time. It's just she was worried about today and didn't wanna sleep.
That is why she took her time making the stew to lower her anxiety level.
Ambrose entered the kitchen at the Right time. She has just served the fragrant stew in two wooden bowls.
She looked at Ambrose entering the small kitchen and smiled. "Oh, you are here at the correct time. Did Nelson come? Did he bring you some water herbs?" She asked.
Ambrose smiled at her questions as he knew that she was worried about him. "Yes, mom he brought me some Water Berries and don't worry I promise that I will definitely tame a beast today."
Thalia listened to him and a relived expression appeared on her face and after that, she smiled. "Here take these stews. I will go and finish things up in the kitchen" she said.
Ambrose took the bowls and then left for his Room. On the way to his room, the secretary mixed some Ice Moss in the nelson's stew. And as it was hot the Ice Moss melted in the soup.
After placing the Bowl in front of Nelson he placed all his Water Berries in the Stew. "You should also eat those berries with the stew. It will taste much better."
Nelson looked at Ambrose and raised his brows. However, seeing his genuine look he signed and mixed his berries in the stew too. "Ok ok... I will eat the stew with the berries."
Ambrose let out a relaxed breath after Nelson mixed his berries with the stew. Although it was a bit odd for berries to with stew. Ambrose did all this to explain if the stew tastes odd when he mixed it with the moss.
Nelson took a small bite of the stew and almost vomited. 'This tastes horrible.' He thought. However, didn't say it out loud as he was still in front of Ambrose and he didn't wanna insult his mom.
Nelson just closed his eyes and engulfed the whole bowl in just two mouthfuls. He even swallowed the meat without chewing it.
Ambrose looked at him and almost bust out laughing. However, he controlled himself. "Wow... You must love the Stew. Do you want some more?" He said.
Nelson just smiled. "Actually, I have to go. The stew was very tasty. I have never eaten anything like this before." He said and then stood up. He didn't even wait for Ambrose to say anything and moved out of his house quickly.
"Ok see you at the test site." He ran away while waving his hand.
"Yeah, I will be there soon!" Ambrose said at his disappearing back.
"Why did he run so fast?" Thalia came from the side and asked with a confused expression.
Ambrose looked at her and smiled. "It's nothing. He just wanted to reach the test site early to see what kind of Mana Beast are there this time."

Unfettered Spear
[Ratata~] Being showered with bullets from all directions, I certainly don't feel so good. Especially, feeling the bullets passing through my body, which is simply torture. After God knows how long, the gunfire finally stopped. I had my head down, contemplating that this was the end. However, it was at this time that I heard someone jumping off the car in front. I looked up and saw that it was the "Boss." "I should've done this much sooner, you really done a number on my men despite being alone!" "I must admit that you are good, but too good that you're a threat to MY throne!!" "I–" Alas, the Boss' monologue was cut halfway through. When he held his head high, an action to signify his pride, a bullet pierced through his under chin into his brain and out the back of his head. He looked at me in disbelief, like the others around. None of them anticipated that I could still fire my pistol, much less accurately aiming at one's head at the hip level, after being turned into a bloody meat-sieve. "You... Monster!!!" To the Boss' dying words, I only replied with a smile as my strength left my body.
