《Mecha In Cultivation World》09- Fire Talisman

"Everybody, defend me from behind. I have found the Ice Mushroom. Now I am going to get it!" Village chief yelled and then jumped at the stone in the middle of the pond. He had an excited look on his face.
'Now Celia can get a Fire Arrow Bird. Which will help her get into the Golden Falcon Academy. This is my chance to get out of this backwater village and leave for the capital.' Chief thought and landed in the water.
He was just a meter away from the stone. Pushing his legs in the water with full force Village Cheif again jumped out of the water and landed on the large stone.
The people on the other side looked at the Village Chief jump in the water and an exciting look appeared on their face.
"Come on everyone we just have to resist these Hunk Bears for few more minutes then we can leave this place. The village chief has already found the Ice mushroom. Now all of you are guaranteed to get a good Fire Affinity Beast in tomorrow's test." The middle-aged man with the goatee yelled with full vigour.
He slashed his Bolo at the Bear coming towards him with full force showing his excitement.
All of the Hunk Bears seeing the Alpha hunk get minced went completely berserk and started attacking without caring about their lives.
"These Hunk Bears have gone Berserk by the death of their leader. All of you stay careful. And retreat if you think you will not be able to handle. We just need to stall them for just a few more seconds!" Celia also said to her group.
On the other side. Ambrose was also about to move when he saw that the Martial level Aligator abandoning its prey and moving towards the village chief.
"This Alligator is too intelligent for its flat head. It tricked the village chief into thinking that it is busy eating Hunk bear. However, it was just bluffing so that it can do a sneak attack on the human." Ambrose thought and a smile formed on his face.
'Although he is a bit intelligent it still forgot that I am still present here.' Ambrose readied himself and intensely stared at both of them waiting for the perfect moment to jump in.
He decided that he would get the Mushrooms when both Village Cheif and Alligator will be busy with each other.

"Now you are all mine." The village chief laughed greedily and was about to pick up the fungus. However, suddenly he felt strong killing intent coming from behind him.
"Oh shit! This thing finished that large Bear this quickly." The village chief jumped from his original position and landed on the other side of the big stone. His eyes wide as he looked at the monster with anger flashing in his eyes.
There was cold sweat all over his body. He looked at the floating body of the Alpha Hunk Bear and gritted his teeth. "Oh... So you fooled me. Thinking that you are the smartest here? Today I will show you how death feels like!"
He pulled out a rectangular yellow coloured paper from his pocket and unfolded it. "I really didn't want to use it. However, you have forced me to do so. Now get ready for your death!"
Celia from the other side looked at her dad and her eyes widened. 'He is gonna use a fire talisman on that beast. What a waste. It was supposed to be given to me after I get the Fire Arrow Bird in tomorrow's exam.' She gritted her teeth angrily.
That Alligator has wasted her precious fire talisman. She wanted to temper her Fire Arrow Bird with that talisman. However, now it will be instead used on that Alligator.
"Father make sure not even his bones are left!" She yelled angrily. She was really not happy with how the events are turning out.
"Don't worry Celia. Even his soul will be extinguished by this Fire Talisman. I have specially brought it from the Golden Falcon Kingdom with two low-grade spirit stones. Even a level one Martial Beast would be burned to death in front of its fire."
"You can then use its beast core to increase your power instead." He also didn't want to use this Fire Talisman as it originally belonged to his daughter.
However, desperate times call for desperate measures. Although she can't get the Talisman after her Beast Test. She could still get a Martial Beast core and for her Fire Arrow bird, she can even get a fire Mushroom.
It was all worth it.
Ambrose looked at the fire talisman and was surprised at the wealth of Village Chief. He has spent about five low-grade spirit stones on the higher tire beasts and then he even bought a Fire Talisman that can even kill a level two Martial Beast.

That was a total of seven low-grade spirit coins. With just three more Ambrose could buy another Mecha for himself. 'This village chief has extorted too much money out of the villagers. Time to take some back.'
All of the other Men and the young guys and girls that were fighting looked at the village chief and when they spotted the Fire Talisman in his hand. A jealous expression appeared on their face.
Two guys with Celia even had an expression of admiration on their faces.
"We are very lucky that we got to be friends with sister Celia. Those poor villagers would never be able to find an Ice herb in so less time. However, Sister Celia's father has already found some. Showing how powerful he is." One of the guys tried to flatter Celia.
However, she just snorted and attacked the Hunk Bear in front of her. "You should all focus on fighting. If I got hurt then no one is getting anything today." She said with scorn.
"And never mention those poor people in front of me again. We are not even from the same world. Their destiny is just to rot at this pathetic place. However, I, on the other hand, is destined to achieve great things." There was an arrogant expression on her face.
"Yes, sister Celia. You are destined to achieve great things. And we are very lucky to be your accomplices." One of the girls said. The guy that just tried to flatter her just laughed awkwardly trying not to offend her anymore.
"Take this you Crawling Beast! Ignite!" The village chief said and then threw the yellow coloured paper at the Alligator.
The Martial Aligator also sensed danger coming at him and hissed. It jumped in the water again to protect itself from the fiery Talisman.
"You think you can run away. Too bad I need your Beast Core as a compensation!" The fire talisman wooshed and then entered the water. It struck directly to the mouth of the Alligator and then fired covered its whole body.
"This fire talisman even works in water. There is nowhere you can escape now. You are destined to die today and your beast core will be used by my daughter for her advancement." Village Chief said and then jumped in the pond for stopping the Alligator from entering some secrete tunnel.
And just as he jumped in the water a smile formed on Ambrose's face. "This is the time!" He looked around and saw that the Celia and the rest of the villagers were busy with remaining few Bears.
"Swish..."
He jumped down from the tree and landed on the stone without making any noise. The guys on the other side of the pond have still not noticed him due to his silent entry.
He quickly picked up the Moss platform on which Mushrooms were growing and then jumped back as silently as he came. However, just in time, Celia turned her head to check her father and she noticed his shadow jumping in the trees.
Her gaze then landed on the giant stone and she panicked. "Father! Quickly come out! Someone has stolen the Mushroom and he is running in the jungle!" She yelled and then ran toward the edge of the pool.
Till now only five of the Hunk Bears were left and even they were retreating after seeing so many of their dead friends and once they got the chance all of them ran away.
The rest of the villagers also quickly gathered at the edge of the pool and looked in it.
Village Cheif jumped out of the pool listening to the voice of Celia. As he was a ninth level of the body master he was able to listen to her voice underwater.
The mushrooms were more important than the Beast Core.
He first looked at the stone after seeing that there were no Mushrooms on it an angry expression appeared on his face. He clenched his fist and looked at Celia. "Where did it ran away?!" He asked.
Celia panicked looking at her father's angry expression and quickly pointed at the direction that Ambrose was gone.
"Let's go. We have to find him before he gets away." The Village Cheif said and then moved towards the jungle in hurry. The rest of them also quickly followed him in the jungle. They completely ignored the dead Alligator. Who's body was now floating on the pond.
Ambrose knew that all of them will follow him so he took a detour and again came to the pond quickly.
