《The Tentacle of Fate》Chapter 10.5 The Dragon's Mansion

In the middle of the Demon Empire’s Capital City was a particular mansion in the eastern part of the city. The mansion was surrounded by a short wall and forest and was almost seemingly secluded from the noise and bustle of the city itself.
In this forest stood several dozen black armored guards with a wide array of hair colors. Some of them had a head full of red hair, others blue hair, then some green, brown, black, and even purple hair.
From an outsider's perspective, they all looked rather ridiculous, they were all lined up neared the front of the forest standing still and if we were to add in a few more colors than we’d have ourselves a nice little rainbow.
But in reality, anyone who saw these several dozen guards would be frightened out of their mind, though this wasn’t particularly a problem since most people were too afraid to even approach the vicinity of this forest.
After all, this mansion was created to house the emissary and leader of the entire Dragon Race, the Lord of the Dragon Valley, and most importantly the monster that holds the title of Pride. Any one of these titles were enough to cause nearly anyone to prostrate themselves in fear let alone all three.
And currently in this grand mansion, or rather underneath this grand mansion was a dark dungeon where a certain red haired guard that was previously standing over the south gate was being chained up. In front of him was a beautiful woman in a blood red dress matching her hair.
In her hands was a long whip formed from her own scales, and as she glared at the miserable dragon in front of her she lashed out with her whip tearing straight through what should have been an impenetrable armor constructed out of the Dragon guards own magically reinforced scales.

But no matter how tough his armor was it was no match for this woman’s whip, as could be seen by all the tears in his armor and wounds he’s been inflicted. The guard looked up at the woman in front of him and begged, “My lady please, have mercy…”
“Trash”, she swung her whip down once again making a large lash on one of his legs, “Not only did you lose face for our entire Dragon race you did so before hundreds of thousands of people and in the capital no less.”
The whip was swung down once more, “You even allowed that brat to toy with you. You’re really a glutton for punishment aren’t you.”
And once more, “If we didn’t have more Dragons available you’d already be dead by now.”
And again, “You didn’t even last one round from what I heard. One round! Do you know how pathetic that looks for us!”
And again, and again, and again, you get the gist of it, “We’re the proud Dragon race, the incarnations of lust, greed, wrath, pride, envy, gluttony, and sloth and you can’t even last a single round!?”
The guard begged, “My lady it’s not my fault...that succubus…”
The woman lashed out with her whip again, “That succubus isn’t even a woman! Do you hear me!?”
Suddenly, the door to the dungeon opened, and another black armored guard walked in a kneeled, “My lady the Emperor summons you!”
The woman turned around, and sighed, “Very well.”
She released the chains binding the guard, and then almost instantly afterward kicked him sending him flying into the adjacent wall nearby.
“Reflect on what you’ve done.”
As soon as the woman and the other guard left, a quiet but seductive voice filled the guard’s mind, “Kukuku, what a miserable state you're in.”

Suddenly Trra appeared before him, and he smiled, “All thanks to you milord, your plan was brilliant!”
Trra laughed, “Indeed, Dragons are the incarnations of the seven sins, but typically Dragons tend to lean towards a single extreme. So I suppose that makes you the ultimate masochist.”
The guard blushed, “Please milord, I’d rather you insult me rather than praising me.”
“Kahaha, as expected of the ultimate masochist. You’re nothing like a Dragon you’re more like a pig!”
The guard got up, and kneeled down, “Thank you.”
“Anyway, I’m just here to complete my end of the deal, here.”
Trra tossed a small bottle of a purple liquid and said, “That should last you a few years, there are no side effects but the transformation to a woman only last 48 hours and afterwards you can’t use it for a week.”
“That’s more than enough Milord, with this I can finally fulfill my dreams of being gang raped.”
“Oh yeah, I forgot I failed to get gang raped dude to someone's interference.”
“Oh, then Milord would you like me to help you get gang raped by several dozen Dragon Guards?”
“Oh ho, that would be splendid.”

Tower of Babel: Speedrunner
Launch day. That was what they called it. The day when over four million people vanished in an instant from the island of Manhattan. The day earthquakes ravaged the east coast. The day a one hundred and one kilometer tall tower rose from the wreckage of the now empty city. The day every screen, newspaper, and smart phone displayed a single message from an unknown source: The Great Emperor has issued his challenge. From the ruins of the Old World rise the Tower. Its doors will soon open, and the great game will begin. A hundred floors and a hundred challenges await the worthy. And to the victor? A Wish of Unlimited Power. Cayden Caros yearned to play that game. His only problem? The Terms and Conditions. A strict set of rules that, among other things, prevented anyone under the age of sixteen from entering the tower. Forced to wait for over two years, Cayden did the only thing he could do to pass the time. He researched, he practiced and he prepared. It would take a lot to catch up to players with such an enormous head start. Lucky for him, he was a special type of gamer. A SpeedRunner So.... It has been a hot minute. I don't like talking about my personal life, but suffice to say I had some fairly bad times for the last couple of years and have only just recently pulled myself back to good health, physically and mentally. I have a very supportive partner, and am put together enough that I want to get back to doing what I love. Writing nerd fiction that I am too embarassed to try to explain when people inevitably ask what my books are about. Still beats when I used to write erotica. Story updates for book 3 should be on a daily schedule, baring unforseen circumstances. The majority of chapters from books one and two have been pulled down to keep with amazon's KU rules. Book one is found here. Book two is found here. If you like the story, please comment or favorite. Each comment goes a long way towards pushing visibility for the story, which means more people get to see it and I feel slightly more validated as a writer. I have a discord now where you can ask me things and I can be like 'no. no. I'm not answering that. no."

The Sun's Remnant
Two people are transported to a world with magic, but it is no Wonderland. When the god of light died, he decided to take the world with him. At least, that’s what many believe in the Kingdom of Rhine, a once vast kingdom of which only a small corner remains — and even that is threatened. On one side, by the Twisted Forest, a corruption spreading from the deathplace of the gods that has already swallowed up most of Rhine. On the other, by the resurgent Kagrathan Empire, resurrected by the infallible God-Emperor Karlatz. A holy order of knights carry out their mission despite the death of their god. A band of talented misfits prepare for a heist out of their league — by stealing. Mages hunt for secrets even as the world ends. A ruler does what must be done to save the living, no matter the cost. Into this world of magic and murder, two adrift souls are inexplicably dragged: a mother estranged from her young daughter due to her own mistakes, and a young man with a love of fantasy who has gradually drifted away from his friends and family. As they each struggle to find their place in this world, they must also answer the question: do they want one?***Content Warning: I've drafted about 100,000 words (most of the first volume), and there is no sexual content so far, though I may add it in the future. There is occasionally gore and traumatising content as the story demands. I commit to keeping all of the above non-voyeuristic. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

They Who Hunt the Forest
As a rule of nature, breaking a wave before it peaks halts and disperses built-up energy. Unfortunately, Fate doesn't play by the rules of nature. The cost of a Fourth war: an equal number of lives, a thousand thousand generations of lost futures, and one infinitely unspeakably tortured soul of a child never given chance to be one. Or, the one where some power-hungry immorals decided to put the words "bijuu," infinite," "natural energy," and "psuedo" together in one sentence, not necessarily in that order. The Core of a Factory
An abandoned steampunk arms factory, in the middle of a conflict torn former state of the Empire it served, gains a soul. This transforms it into a Lord, capable of turning land into power. Beset by enemies on all sides it must figure out how to win the war its creators lost a century ago. This is a progressive Dungeon Core novel (which is to say the core will progress and expand in scale, eventually) across multiple dimensions with different characteristics (e.g. steampunk, magic, mythological). It has rationalist leanings (paragraphs of reasoning) and litrpg leanings (there are stat blocks). The core game mechanical idea is something like "what if different flavors of magic power actually did come from controlling land" and then the story is: "what if there was a flavorless (artifact deck) dungeon core". Chapters will be relatively short (my aim is that in three column format each would fit on a wide screen monitor), the first few chapters - setting up the main character and mechanics - are currently the longest in the entire series. I write chapters in blocks, and then release them one a weekday (M-F; 6 PM GMT, unless RoyalRoad's publish thing screws up) until I run out. There may be a few days of gaps here and there if someone finds an egregious error I have to re-write around or if I am behind. In general though one can read this once a weekend. I may do slight retconns and edits, I'll make sure to put it in an authors note if I do.
