《Origin Point》A3 Epilogue Part Two

AN: And now to leave off with a bit of a sour note, where the end of the last chapter won't be addressed until around the "Children of Terra" series. For the next ones will be about Nox and the Ageless traipsing through Azzarath and the Abyss.
As per usual, thank you all for reading thus far. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please do not hesitate to voice them.

After speaking such words, did the Ageless simply glance down upon his son, Nox. Of whom had snuggled into the crook of his father's left arm with a great yawn, which then led to a light dozing of his person. Whereas the endarkened furred Kitsune hummed an old song that was called "Mad World" whilst gently rocking the young hybrid slowly. "Sleepy," mumbled the boy-child who turned away from all others in order to sleep.
Many females then did release a great sigh of joy as they witnessed such a sight, which led to more than a few desiring to hold his person, but would not dare to try with his father present. No. None would dare to rise up and take the boy-child, not unless they were willing to risk the full wrath of hundreds of females and his father bearing down upon their persons. For such is the gift, or perhaps the curse, of Nox as he oozes with "cutesy-adorableness".
In any case, many did try to garner his attention, to which he then turned a blank gaze in their direction. This led to many desiring a continuation of the story at hand, but instead of this, he simply spoke with a chuckle, "Continue? No. I have finished my tale, young ones. Therefore, you are free to leave."
"B-but... what?" Nearly all present were stunned by this dismissal, whereas the God King of Terra simply continued with his humming towards his son.
"My Lord God?" called out Brutus, and once the other gave him his attention, did he continue, "I believe these of the current generation desires an explanation."
"Ah," blinked the Ageless, "Well then, the reason why I've decided to end things here is quite simple." Nearly all leaned forward, straining their ears and senses in order to catch the next few words, "What came afterwards is a secret kept by those of whom were present," which led to a few falling out of their chairs from the preposterous statement.
This led to the Lich King placing his skeletal, clawed hand upon the front of his metallic skull. The he shook it slowly whilst all others growled and grumbled their displeasure at not being allowed to listen to what had occurred after such words were spoken. Afterwards came a few portals which erupted in the space behind their persons. Whereupon they did pick themselves up from where they sat, and slowly walked out whilst chatting amongst themselves about what they had learned from their God King. That is, all save for the Elf who was suspected as a follower of the Huntress, Brutus and his new companion, as well as the Kitsune with his son.
The Elf, by the by, was fully rooted in his position, and screamed and howled at everyone for help. However, they could not see, nor hear, his person as they continued to chat amongst themselves whilst passing by his position. Once most had left, Brutus turned towards the Tigerman who desired the company of his person, and bade him to leave as well. The reason being was to speak with his Lord High god alone, and would speak with him shortly thereafter.

Within a short time afterwards, the younger generation of the world of Terra had left, leaving only the trio alone with the Elf, of whom was slowly spinning in the air of the Void Space whilst they simply stared at his person. "I think you should just extract the information, My Lord High God," spoke up the Lich King as his left, primary foreclaw tapped against his cheekbone in contemplation. For they were deciding on what to do with their newfound captive.
"You can't do this," cried out the other, whose eyes held beads of tears along the corners of the sockets, "There are laws against Gods, like yourself, from abusing your powers. When I get out of here-"
"You'll what?" chuckled the Ageless, "Tattle on my person? Who is going to believe a mortal such as yourself, and who would even dare oppose my person when I am one of three of the strongest existences within our Universe."
"Four, My Lord High God?" spoke Brutus, of whom had retrieved a large cart full of torturing instruments that were used in the extractions of information. Which caused the Elf to gulp quite audibly once they became known to his person.
"What?" paused the God King, and waved his right paw at the other, "Technically, it's five, but no matter. You, Elf," his paw then moved to point its digits towards their captive, "You will be telling our persons everything you know, and then you will die."
The other's eyes widened at this, whilst his body twitched and jerked as it floated towards their persons slowly. Of which then caused Nox to awaken from his short nap within the crook of his father's left arm. "Papa?" he mewed softly, rubbing his eyes then looking up at the Elf in question, "What's going on?"
"Hmm," hummed the Kitsune, of whom lightly pat the top of his son's head, "I believe it's time for another lesson, Nox." Of which caused the younger's ears to perk up whilst his head tilted towards the right shoulder.
"What kind of lesson, Papa?"
"Do you see the Elf?" to which the boy-child nodded a couple of times, "That one has a very dangerous secret. One where, if released, will harm everyone we care about. Such as my person, you, your mother, and your friends."
This caused the little hybrid's eyes to widen as their colour changed to an endarkened crimson. Whilst this occurred, his hackles rose up, but instead of appearing menacingly, it served to fluff up his fur until his visage was of an adorable, but angered, dark cloud made of a soft material. "No one hurts Papa and Mama," hissed Nox, of whom then crawled atop his father's head, and tried to claw at the offending Elf with his right paw with as much menace as he could muster.
The action led to the Ageless grinning in quite the proud and demented manner as his eyes turned upwards to spy a portion of his son's antics. "It is nigh impossible to harm one such as I, Nox," rumbled his voice as he lifted the boy-child from his head in order to hold him within his own arms, "However, it is possible to damage one's own reputation with slanderous half-truths. Then again, when one is a Lord of Chaos, it is impossible to do such a thing."

"What's a 'Lord of Chaos'?" asked the hybrid who turned to stare up at the muzzle of the Kitsune.
Of whom then turned to glance down at the younger, just as Brutus strapped the floating Elf to a long table and remove all articles of clothing. This was done so with practiced ease, and quickly pealed back the skin of his chest and abdomen to reveal the skeleton and organs within. All of this was done so before he had a chance to understand what had occurred, as well as before the brain could register that the body had been harmed. To which he then released a pain filled screech that echoed throughout the entirety of the space.
No. The screaming did not frighten the young hybrid, but instead caused his ears to twitch several times, and shake his own head for a few moments. This was so, as he had long ago been introduced to such Darkness, and had grown quite used to such things.
"A Lord of Chaos belongs to a group of beings who are upon the 'Evil' spectrum of the Morality Scale. In that, we tend to do more harm than good in the eyes of others. Now, I gained the rights to be called one during my time upon Azzarath for reasons I'm none too sure about at this time," shrugged the Ageless as they watched the Lich King slowly pull out the Elf's organs one by one. Of which were still attached to the body by way of magickal energies that ensured the continuous life for the victim.
Yes. Such things were a favourite for the God King's Right Hand, and would utilise everything and anything in order to carry out the most beautiful of tortures.
"Is this evil?" wondered aloud Nox, of whom pointed at the pained expression the Elf was feeling as Brutus rummaged around in his hollowed out body.
"No, Nox. In the eyes of others, it perhaps is, but in my own?" the endarkened furred Kitsune closed his eyes and shook his head slowly. Upon opening them, he continued with, "I see this as a way to better our persons for the future. Therefore, I shall continue to do thusly, and desire for you to take up this mantle one day. Do you think you can handle this, my son?"
To which the other thought about such things as much as he could, then nodded, saying, "I think so, Papa," and beamed his best smile.
*
In the end, the Elf did beg for a release on his life, and spoke of many things about the Huntress. Such as where she currently resides, as of four turns ago; where many of their secret bases of operations lie, many of which were upon Terra, and a few within Necropolis; and how many followers she currently has, which was also as of four turns ago. To which the Ageless glowered down upon the still living body of the Elf, whose organs were shoved back inside in no particular order, and sealed completely with a special "surprise" hidden within. Of which would, when a specific amount of mana entered the area, detonate. Thus leaving a crater with the diametre of four kilometres of wherever it resided within.
As to how this would be achieved? Well, the Elf was to report back to one of the more "secretive" hideouts upon a distant world called Heraan, and yes, this was where the Huntress supposedly resided upon. Whereupon he would receive some healing before making his way to report to whomever was in charge.
Now, to make sure everything was to occur without much trouble, Brutus was to escort the Elf to such a place with a legion of his best fighters. Of whom would lie in wait as the other made his way to the base, and once it was detonated, they would all rush in to slaughter any and all who still lived. Whereas his own job was to bring back the head of the Huntress so that the Ageless may mount it upon a wall of trophies, of which will cause the essences of the Goddess to be entrapped inside for all eternity.
"That's quite the plan, My lord High God," spoke the Lich King with great reverence as the other dominated the mind of their tortured captive. So that it would fully comply with any and all orders given to it by the Ageless.
"All plans fall apart once the battle has begun, Brutus," muttered the Kitsune as he completed his task and scooped up his son just as the younger was about to touch a few of the more deadlier instruments used for torturing beings of immense strength.
"All too true, My Lord High God," bowed the metallic skeleton, "Now, if you'll excuse me, I shall begin the necessary requirements with conducting a war against a lesser known Goddess." Upon so saying, he did vanish, taking with him the instruments of his primary craft, and the dull eyed and barely living body of the Elf.
This left the God King alone with his son, of whom was then tossed into the air a few times. Which caused Nox to giggle and squeal with great joy as his body floundered in the air, before being caught by the other's gentle paws. Of whom then hugged one another as the father whispered, "Let's go home, Nox," and vanished from the space in its entirety. Which then led it to collapse due to the absence of its creator.

Sorcery in Boston
The timid daughter of some of the greatest spellcasters ever to have lived has found herself in another world, courtesy of magic gone awry. In Boston, Massachusetts, in the year 1935, she finds some kind souls in a hard era. In the heart of the Great Depression, as war looms around the corner, she seeks to find her place, and must come to terms with both who she is and what she truly desires. Author's Notes: Release Note: I recently realized what the hold up is. My current mental state is not compatible with the planned ending. If I wrote the ending according to what currently feels right, it will be a wretched, cruel ending that feels monstrously unfair and invalidates the work of the various characters... because that's how my life feels at the moment. The planned ending is coming out hollow and awkward, no matter how I write it, and so I've been bashing my head. I will finish it, once I manage to either brute force something decent out, or once my head gets screwed on straight. Audience: This story is not for young children - it contains some profanity, sexual content, violence, gore, and significant adult themes. Most of these are handled delicately enough not to upset teens or adults (hopefully), hence the lack of relevant tags, but it is nonetheless unsuitable for youth. It's fairly slow paced, and focused on the development of very human, very flawed individuals. Length / Completion Estimates: The outline currently involves two books. Book 1 is expected to be done with Chapter 43. It'll probably be completely finished by sometime in March of this year. I expect to move on to the far-more-lighthearted Of Gods and Dungeons (currently in progress / on hiatus). Afterwards, I may decide to redo Book 1, or write Book 2, or actually start sharing the story most dear to me, that I've been working on for several years now. Draft 1: Please be aware that this is first draft material. I do intend to come back to do a second draft after the story is complete. If anyone notices any issues whatsoever with the story, please let me know (pm, etc) so that I can improve the second draft. Writer's Pledge: I've taken the Writer's Pledge, meaning I'm commiting to completing this story. I'm a proud member of WriTE, a group dedicated to finishing stories. It will be done! Behind the Scenes notes: This picture was commissioned from an inked artist by the name of DanP. Up until the time of the protagonist's arrival, history has proceeded as before. Some places and characters have been borrowed from wikipedia entries of interesting figures from the time. I will make note in the chapter comments when such things come up. Naturally, I've taken a great deal of liberty with them. In interest of respecting individuals, I've either attempted to portray them as accurately as possible, or modified them sufficiently enough that they're simply an inspiration, instead of a real portrayal. I've attempted to be as accurate to the era as possible, but I'm not a historian. If you're aware of inaccuracies, please, bring them to my attention so that I can correct them.
