AN: Next couple of chapters will be of how he became an Ageless, which are mostly vague or not spoken of. All due to it being some sort of "secret" from non-Ageless beings.
As always, thank you for reading thus far. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please do not hesitate to voice them.

"Everything is ready for your ascension, My Lord High God," called out King Brutus, of whom stood atop a large hill overlooking the plains below. The area my past self stood upon would soon become the Plains of Nu'Ohn, of which was a death trap for those of whom were not familiar with it. Yes. What came next was a byproduct of my venture, but I believed the cost to be well worth it all.
"Then, let us begin," my voice caused the world around us to shake as my body slowly stretched itself into my skeletal self.
"You won't get away with this," screamed the female Dwarf, of who I did not care for beyond that which resided within her body, "They will all come and kill you, Undead Karastak!"
"If they do, then all they will find is their deaths," was my reply as I gripped her body with my left, primary clawed hand as thousands upon thousands of multicoloured spell circles erupted around my person. These were simply to ensure that the rite I was to perform would go smoothly, with Brutus and Rojaahn watching the proceedings from a safe distance.
They each knew of the implications for my ascension, and would slay all who dared to stop it. For such a thing will grant each of them a boon from my person, one which I would make sure they collected. One example would be from Brutus, of whom held a secret desire to be a father. Yes. I was well aware of your wishes, and would do my best to fulfill it. However, to this day, Rojaahn has yet to wish for anything, whilst all of the others are content with their own completed wishes.
For those of whom do not know, this part of the story was my person becoming an Ageless. Yes. That which is kept secret from all occurs within the story, but is it much of a secret when all know of how to become one? Well, it is when you do not know the exact process, or how it can kill oneself.

"You will give unto my person your Spark of Purity, Dwarf," my voice boomed throughout the world as she wiggled within my clawed hand, "All of it, so that I may ascend into a new realm of existence. For I desire it so." Once more, my energies invaded another's mind and body, tearing away everything that I desired, and pulling it out for my person to absorb. Of which revealed itself to be a fractal sphere full of an iridescent light which would blind those of whom do not know how to shield themselves from such a thing. This was what it was, and I ate it whilst tossing the dead body of the limbless Dwarf of to the side.
Next came the process of absorbing it, which would take nearly a moon turn. For I would need to walk throughout the course of my life, feeling everything that I had done within the bodies of my victims. This was so, as the process needed my person to understand what they each felt from my experiments, the slaughters I incurred, and the invasions which they endured. All of this, and more would I have to witness and feel, as I walked down the path of becoming an Ageless.
Until, at long last, I would come to the Gates of Perdition where I would be granted an audience with the All Being, and exchanged a part of my person for that which I desire greatly. Yes. As all know, I decided to give up my name, and all of its legacy. However, I gave up not only the first name of mine, but all of them.
At that time, I was no longer Karastak, Veni Deus Venenum, Dei, Canis Dei, or any others. Instead, I would simply be known as Ageless.

Farther away, and atop the castle's walls, stood the Titan Kronos, Hephaestus, the Kitsune twins, Yin and Yang, and Beelzebub. Of the five who were currently watching the "light show" down below, only the God of Gluttony was full of impatience. Whereas the others, especially the twins, were full of curiosity and were content to wait.
Beelzebub, who chose to wear his demonic Elvin form, leaned on his left hand whilst its elbow rested atop the stone. The other hand was busy tapping away at the stone and his body slouched forwards so that he may do so. Upon his features were the etchings of impatience as he continued to watch their friend and ally embark on a different quest. One that will give them what they all wished for, but he wanted it now.

"Why must he do this, if all he had to do was extend his hands and give us what we wanted?" His voice was full of whining which irritated the Titan and Hephaestus.
Of which the former addressed with, "In his current state, you would be lucky if he can make you become a minour God, Beelzebub. Do you really want to be that, or would you rather become a fully fledged one?"
A tisking sound erupted from his mouth, as he turned away in order to gaze down at the one who would grant them their desire. "I'm just tired of all this waiting, and want what was promised to me."
"Which you will receive," spoke the Blacksmith God, "Just be patient and watch as Karastak finishes his task." To which the other simply grumbled aloud.
"What is he doing, anyways?" wondered aloud Yin, who scratch her right ear and tugged on it slightly.
"Do you know what an Ageless is?" asked the Titan, which led to the twins shaking their heads quickly as they turned towards his person with widened eyes full of curiosity and wonder, "Well, an Ageless is what he is trying to become. One that needs three components whilst you traverse your inner mind and down towards the Gates of Hell itself. Whereupon you shall meet and fight against the Gatekeeper, then meet its master."
"What are the components?"
Yin's eyes widened further as Hephaestus chimed in, "The Spark of Purity, the Gift of all Knowledge, and the Gift of Absolute Power."
"Which are?"
"The Spark of Purity is given to someone who was arisen to the rank of God, and follows a more 'good' path, if he," the Blacksmith God pointed towards the giant skeleton's position, "told us correctly. This one simply grants a being the ability to heal and resurrect someone completely. The Gift of Absolute Power is exactly as it sounds, as does the last one.
"However," he held up his left forefinger to forestall any more words from the Kitsune, "from what I was able to find out from the archives upon Azzarath, the Spark of Purity is a necessary component for the creation of life. In that, when combined with the other two, you are able to create your own world or worlds where life can begin.
"Quite amazing, to be sure. What is more, if I had that Gift, I can create so much more than I ever could," his arms were raised high above his head as he spoke of this, as though reaching for that which was far beyond his grasp and sighed, "Ah, I wish it was mine, but no matter. I am content in awaiting for his return, where I shall be given my right to be called a God once more."
"Which reminds me, Hephaestus," called out Kronos, who then turned towards one another, "You never did tell me why you were banished to that world, nor were you upset when I slaughtered the others. Why is that?"
"Ah, yes... Well..." began the other, who rubbed the back of his neck slowly with embarrassment, "Well... I sort of killed Hera on accident..."
"Hah? How did you manage to do that?"
"Well, after the passing of Aphrodite, I became quite lonesome," his two forefingers tapped against one another as he spoke, "I desired a companion, and went about with the creation of the Kiln of Life. I'm sure you know of this, correct? I don't want to go into details about that one."
At this point, the others had all turned away from the light show, and were giving Hephaestus their undivided attention, and wished to hear more, "Well, there was a war going on around this time, and they all desired weapons and armour. So, I gave it to them, along with a few untested weapons which were designed to be thrown.
"She... um... picked one of them up and did not throw it on time. She said it was very beautiful, and wanted some more to 'surprise' her husband Zeus with them... and it, sort of, blew her head clean off..."
For a time no one spoke, nor moved, as they processed these words. The Kitsune twins held the reactions of horror upon their facial features, whereas Beelzebub stared at the hunchback with a look of one who was impressed. The Titan, on the other hand, found the whole situation uproariously funny, and even bent over as one would whilst clutching their sides.
"You killed Hera with a... bomb!"

Apex Immortal: a LitRPG system rampage
"Across the multiverse where the contest for power is the only constant, only a handful have succeeded in reaching the ultimate heights of ascendency and gained the title Apex Immortal. Dominus is one of them, unsurpassed in overwhelming violence, feared across universes. Now, memories locked and stranded far away from everything he’d built, Dominus will face enemies that will challenge even his powers and discover that change is more difficult than destruction." I’ve been writing fiction on and off for the last decade and I’ve always wondered how a peak immortal (or an OP superhero) would single handedly conquer a world that mirrors our own in all of its complexity. As a politics nerd, this is my attempt at answering that question using Machiavelli’s “The Prince” as the primary playbook. The “monsters” are entire political systems with entrenched culture. Expect many versions of real world political systems (and cultures) to be on the hit list. The MC has to successfully institute regime and cultural change without engaging in wholesale genocide and causing the state to fail. Expect things to go wrong pretty quickly as escalating and cascading political and economic effects rapidly go out of control. Methods deployed are not for the faint hearted.
