《Origin Point》A2 Chapter 67

AN: And now for the twist in our lovely arc. I found it rather amusing, to be honest, as it opens up a whole mess of possibilities.
As always, thank you all for reading thus far. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please do not hesitate to voice them.
Also, there will be a Q&A session tomorrow where I reveal a whole mess of my plans. Such as almost 15 other books revolving around Origin Point. :D

Within the Alabaster Castle's centre was a great hall which was used for the party which was being set up at this time. A host of Undead, overseen by Brutus, flew and trudged about in order to make sure everything was just right for his child and guests. Those within this host of creatures were the Banshees, Wights, and ghostly Skeletons. Each took part in the decorations, as well as to set up the long tables with which the guests will be placed.
These tables each held a placeholder with the various names of guests who had responded to their invitations, but the structure of the placement of names was random, save for the table at the back. This was where the Ageless, his wife, Azazel, Brutus, and Denna would reside once everything was under way.
It was here that the Ageless sat, reviewing the last of the documents necessary to push the duties of the slavers upon the shoulders of others, whilst the rest of such documents had already been sent off. These last few were within a category he detested greatly, as they were child slavers, and had been selling such persons after kidnapping them from their immediate families. Once discovering such a notion, he had sent out a system wide message to return all children bought from Terra, or suffer the consequences. Many, of course, ignored such warnings, as they did not recognise the being who claimed to be Terra's God.
Of which led to those individuals to face his wrath as he sent out his Chosen to fetch the children and slay those of whom chose to purchase them. The Chosen, by the by, are his female Undying with adopted children of their own. Each of them, along with the other Undying, resided within his home dimension which is accessible within the plains near the capitol. Where all were charged with guarding such a place from those who wish to enter the home he had built for himself, his Undying, and his new family.
Yes. Terra's god now had a family of his own, and would be revealed soon enough. For now, he had leaned back against the high back chair, finished with the documents. Of which were sent elsewhere with a wave of his right paw. However, he noted the odd weight shift of his head, and slowly reached up to grasp a small body, which was then set upon the seat to his left.
"I do wish you would cease in your efforts to sit upon my person, Azazel," sighed the Ageless, whose eyes turned to look upon the girl-child-who-was-not-a-girl-child with a look of slight displeasure.
"Hello to you, too, Ageless," spoke the small female whose mane of silver hair had been let down around her shoulders. Her own eyes, a pair of molten silver, stared upon his person with great amusement at his displeasure, whilst he noted the strange garb of a white robe with an emerald floral pattern decorating the front, spiraling towards the back, and ending atop her shoulders. This robe, by the by, was not a sold piece of material. Instead, it was split down the front, but folded one side over the other. To keep it from revealing her front, a large sash, the colour of spring leaves, wrapped around her front, and was tied into a large bow in the back. This garb was considered to be a modified version of a Japanese Kimono, and always caused the male to frown at such a thing when a tunic and trousers was less complicated.

In any case, Azazel had turned her back towards him in order to fluff her hair backwards in a teasing manner, whilst he merely sighed and went about braiding it into a pattern she enjoyed. Of which was then swirled into a circular pattern at the back of her head, where a pair of long pins were placed within such a pattern in order to hold it in place.
"Don't you have servants for this?" asked the Kitsune, who eyed her small form in a reproaching manner.
"Yes," her small head bobbed once, "but the servants are afraid of this one for some reason." Her voice trailed off as the delicate hands of hers fiddled about themselves.
"Gee," drawled the other, whose eyelids had drooped to stare at her small form with a bored accusation, "I wonder if it had anything to do with you decapitating one of their number for brushing too hard."
"Where did you hear such nonsense?" Her eyes grew wide as she turned to stare into his eyes; there were a few tears budding at the corners.
"Azazel. Your tricks will not work upon my person, as I have already seen your true self after becoming the same race as you." To these words, she pouted and hung her head in defeat, "Besides, after joining the family, I've been privy to such happenings due to Sarah informing my ears upon all of the latest gossip." The Ageless grinned greatly, whilst the other pouted before grinning as well.
"Well, now that we've the pleasantries taken care of," she began slowly, "Why did you summon this one-"
"Azazel."
She sighed with great exaggeration, "Fine. Why did you summon me?" Her hands had balled into fists as she planted them upon her waist, whilst she leaned over to glare upon his person.
"Humans were summoned to my world, Azazel. The Huntress was involved and is in the process of being taken care of, as is her followers. However, that still leaves your side, as you know my worlds do not contain that race."
"Oh?" Her expression softened, then became harder as the thought of someone from her side breaking the only rule set between their Pantheons infuriated her small person. "That is a lot to take in, Ageless. Do you have evi-?"
At a wave of the Kitsune's right paw which encompassed the whole of the great hall, eleven humans appeared lining the high walls whilst their bodies were crucified upon thick planks of Ironwood. Each one squirmed to some degree, their mouths open to scream a wail which never came forth. For upon their necks were chokers of silver and electrum, each enchanted to amplify their pain whilst silencing their voices. Each of these humans had been stripped of their garments, as red hot nails were hammered into the centre of their palms, their wrists, shoulders, hips, ankles, and feet. This left only their torso and head unaffected, that is until Brutus got around to torturing their persons even further.
"Does this answer your query, Azazel?" growled the other, whose disdain for such creatures became even more apparent, as they vanished to whence they came, "No Humans. That was my only rule, and now it has been broken. So until you have found your culprit, none of your mortals will be allowed to enter my system, just as mine will not go to yours."

Upon such utterances, a system wide notification rang out. This statement gave a detailed account of the how there were now humans upon their world of Terra. As well as a suspension of all activities regarding the teleportation of mortals traversing between the two systems under the control of the first and second Pantheons. However, another notification soon followed after the first, telling those of whom had reach the stage of Immortal will be heavily watched by the Ageless's Dolls and gods under his person. Especially if they decide to traverse the two systems to do whatever they wish.
This did not come as a shock to one such as the silver haired girl-child-who-was-not-a-child, as she enacted her own system wide message which basically echoed the former's. However, she added the fact that the Huntress and her followers were now free game upon her own system, as they were upon the worlds surrounding Terra. Which would then spark a few small scaled wars upon Azzarath, as the Goddess had quite the following upon that world, but we shall not speak of such things.
Instead, once the messages were completed, the pair sat down to discuss their own adventures and plans for the future. For the pair had grown close after the union between he and Sarah, as Azazel was the mother of one such as she, and was only all the more happier to be invited to a party which she had not been technically given leave to be a part of.
However, after an invitation was sent by the Ageless, did she leave her pantheon with all due haste, as they had become boring to her eyes over the last millennia. Especially after the Kitsune before her had decided to not try and conquer the rest of the worlds after claiming Terra for his own.
"Why did you never try to take more worlds, Ageless?" she asked as the topic switched to the past. In her hands was a small, wooden cup full of a light fruit wine which would only cause those unused to alcohol to become drunk, "You've conquered, what? Five, seven worlds from the Abyss? Why not more?" She then took a small sip of the wine, and smiled with closed eyes as the liquid tumbled down her throat, causing warmth to spread throughout her small body.
"Why should I desire more when I have what I desire here?" One of his tails flicked itself towards the great hall with slight irritation, "Terra is all that I strived for, Azazel, and you should know this, as I've pestered your person for the details of its whereabouts for so long."
"Yes," drawled the other, before taking another sip of the drink in her cup, "but all the others seem to desire more and more. So why not you?"
"Are you not listening, Mother-In-Law? I do not desire more, for I have everything I wish. This world," he stood up from his seat to stand in the centre of the room where a bonfire was being laid out for the festivities which was fast approaching. Where his body did twirl in a slow circle before standing in front of the silver haired girl-child-who-was-not-a-child, "This world of Terra. My Terra, is all I desired after it was snatched from my paws so long ago. Now that I have it, why should I desire more?
"Certainly, there are more worlds out there just like this one, but they are not mine to covet. Instead, I am content in this one, and desire nothing more."
"Well, you certainly are a strange one, dear Husband." This voice appeared from behind his person, which caused him to whirl about with a great grin about his features. For standing before him was his wife called Sarah, the Goddess of Iridescent Colours.
Her form, which used to resemble that of a female human, was now of a Wolfwoman whose fur, hair, and eyes changed colours with every movement. What is more, even her clothing, which consisted of a long, silk dress with a floral pattern resembling Azazel's Kimono. This fell to just above her ankles, and was comfortable enough to allow her the freedom of movement so many other females did not when wearing such an outfit.
Upon her neck was a pendant of silver with a leather chord running through the top. This was the only piece of outerwear which was visible, and did not change colours. Instead, it was a locket which opened up to reveal two images. One of her husband, the other of a male, nine tailed wolf hybrid which was in her arms.
This hybrid, by the by, was indeed of Wolf and Fox, and wore a pair of crimson trousers. Whereas its fur was as dark as the shadows around their persons, but held a gold tint. This was mirrored in his eyes, with a golden pupil swimming in darkness.
Yes. This creature was indeed a biological child of the Ageless before them. What is more, the child was only two cycles old and was already speaking and hobbling around. Of which was demonstrated as it shouted out the word, "Papa," as soon as Sarah placed him gently upon the stone pavement. He then stood shakily upon the ground, gripping his mother's dress as he righted himself in order to slowly walk towards the Kitsune. Of whom had his arms out within a metre of the child's position.
"Papa!" he shouted, slowly hobbling forwards with arms outreached towards the other.
The Ageless had a look of infinite patience, as he waited for the small boy-child to come within a few centimetres of his outstretched paws. This then led to him taking the other into his arms, where they hugged quietly for a time. Of which made his unbeating heart to soar as the child was lifted high into the air, spun around slowly, before being hugged once more.
"I'm so proud of you, Nox," whispered the Kitsune into his son's right ear, which caused the boy-child to giggle and cling to his father even more.

Starlight Antiquities
There is a place in the galaxy that deals in antiquities of all kinds, human and non-human alike. Its inventory of artifacts is colossal as is its inventory of mercs who they hire to acquire any artifact a client may wish that is yet to come into their possession. The ill-reputable business is constantly rubbing against the changing tolerance of the Union's government, and there are many security officers who would love nothing better than to vaporize the whole place with its owners inside. Yet, there are many tasks that nobody can do better, especially in the vastness of deep space where Union law is worth less than the energy needed to display it. One of its jobs involves finding an artifact that may not only hold the future of the human race but may also disturb the balance of the whole galaxy. *** While waiting for the next season of Mandalorian and the Witcher, and rewatching Firefly for the gazillionth of time, I decided to write this space-based series. The series has some litRPG elements in it, but it does not read like one. So, you won't run into any blue screens here. Yet, I wanted to use litRPG to give another dimension to this whole story and make it as unique as possible. This is a work-in-progress. Hope to keep on improving and fixing my mistakes as I go along.
