I had lost everything, as this "Tribunal" had willed it, and became the object of my scorn and rage. They would all come to realise I am not one to take lightly, especially when others have stolen what was mine by all rights. No, but what is more, this "Tribunal" was given the ability to regenerate and revive themselves in an unforeseen occurrence, such as myself and my anger.
Every world I would visit would be the same. "Please save us," they would cry out towards my person, "You are our world's heroes, please use your powers to kill those who are our enemies." In the end, I would help them, but only because I desired to watch as this group of red robed creatures quiver with fright as I kill them time and time again. Of course, many would come to my person, and cry in their place, begging for mercy, but to no avail. For I am a vengeful god, and those who have taken from me, my everything, must die forevermore.
Ah, but instead of glossing over my tales of my journey to where I am to this day, I shall tell you all of a particularly odd world. In this world, called Nova, had an interesting request. Most requests for heroes desires them to venture out to kill one creature, or save them from an army. Instead, this one desired myself, and those others who came without permission, to save a princess from a cult who desired her blood.
Perhaps you've read this tale, or have heard it elsewhere, as upon this world the humans would always whisper, "We have summoned a god, and it is angry."
*
"Come on, come on," whispered the frantic voice of a small female, whose entire form bounced upon the balls of her feet. Of which caused her own dress, something far too frilly and pink for any female to wear, to bounce in time with her own movements. This female was standing in front of a machine called an "Elevator", which allows individuals to travels to various floors of a building within seconds, instead of taking the stairs. She wore such a frills upon her dress because it was required of her to do so by her teacher. Of whom also wore them, even though it was a male. Yes, even the I of the past would question why this was so, to which I was answered with a shrug.
As to why I speak of her, it is because she will become a forced companion of mine upon the world called Nova. To where I was at this time, my person was slowly stalking towards this elevator as my kobold self with Brutus the metallic, four armed Lich, and a female Undying.
We had stopped in front of the elevator, just as the female gasped towards the three of us with questions in her eyes. However, even though she would pester us, everything would be for naught. As the I of the past jealously guarded his tongue, and the tongues of his servants, protecting them from others. For you see, my dear audience, unless I deem it necessary, all would never learn of our origins upon the various worlds of might and magick.

For the time being, however, "Which world is next upon our list, master?" Asked the female Undying just as we stepped upon the platform towards our next destination. This elevator, much like the rest of the structure we were within, was made up of something called Titanium. This is a metallic substance far stronger than out own iron, but it uses iron as a base for the creation of this metal. Unfortunately, I do not have the recipe for such a metal. If I did, then taking over this world would have been as simple as a stroll through a park.
Now, this platform with which our feet stood upon rose slowly towards our destination, which was five floors from where we began. Once the platform stopped upon the floor, we would step through something akin to a barrier, and enter a small, dark room with various inscriptions glowing upon the walls, floor, and ceiling. There was about a dozen white robed individuals who looked much like those of the tribunal I took my revenge upon, but with one key difference besides the colour. They were each missing their heads.
"Nova," my voice rumbled, lightly reverberating off of the walls around us, "The next world is Nova, and they desire help in finding one of their royalty."
"Wouldn't it be more prudent to journey to a world with which we may stretch our legs more so than upon these?" Asked Brutus, who was exceedingly bored of the multitude of easy quests, for he desired to bring death upon a great host of creatures, than face off against weaker foes.
"If this one proves to be annoyingly simple, Brutus, then we shall find a numbered world for us to conquer," at my words, my eyes did see elation upon his own, as we did find ourselves within the centre of such a room. However, we were not alone, to which I was not at all amused.
There was four others with us, each with their own vices, arms, and armaments. Many sneered towards our persons, believing we were weak, especially the pink frilled female who had appeared next to us. "Just made it," she gasped, as sweat trickled down her forehead. The short trek between the elevator and the barrier was not a long one, but to those who are not used to such things as the barrier, it would feel as though it were an eternity.
It was about this time I deigned to grace her with my eyes, as they flowed over her entirety. She was not a human, as many would believe, but one of the Kin. What is more, she was of the Mouse-Kin, which was a rare breed in and of itself. For you see, the flesh of the mouse beastman tribe is delectable to those who know how to prepare it, the Kin version even more so. Well, it is such upon our world called Terra, but many others simply abhor such acts, which is why much of their species is being protected by the humans of our world.
Three pairs of eyes turned towards her form the moment we realised what she was, which caused her mouse-brown hair to stand up, whilst her tail erected in a similar manner. "Wh-what?" She stammered, slowly backing away from our persons.

"You are a mouse-kin," although it was an accusation more than a question, the female took it as the latter.
"Ye-yes?"
"Master?" There was an audible gulp, as the Undying swallowed a mouthful of saliva as she stared upon the other with hungry eyes.
"Not yet," was my reply, "There are laws in place to keep us from attacking one another. It is best to hold off your hunger until we have safely arrived upon the surface of Nova. Once there, we shall assess the situation, before proceeding." She bowed low, before taking up her position near my left.
"If she's hungry, I may have a granola bar in my purse," the mouse-kin squeaked, rummaging through a small, black bag that had appeared out of nowhere.
"That is not necessary," I replied, glaring at the naivety of the creature before us. Even those who were off to the side knew of whom we were speaking of, and were now looking towards it with pity.
However, just before she was able to fish out a granola bar, the inscriptions upon the walls, floor, and ceiling began to glow a brilliant white. "Nova calls to you, brave heroes," came a monotone voice that was neither male, nor female, "Go forth, and may whatever god you pray to keep you well from the dangers of such a place."
Circles began to appear beneath our feet, which banished the Undying from whence she came, as my own body became that of a long sword with a sharp bone for a blade. This was so, as it was my default summoning position, and would be forevermore. However, about this time was when Brutus would normally grasp onto my hilt, allowing us both to travel together, but something curious happened. He had his own circle, and faded into it just as I faded into my own.
*
The journey through the portal was not as wonderful as the words upon the pages of my stories make it out to be. Yes, it is entertaining, but if one has been summoned time and time again, the marvel of such things is lost forever. However, this one was more noted than the others, as the eyes of my hilt and pommel did spy a human staring at my sword body with great greed in its eyes, as we journeyed towards the world called Nova.
This great greed would become evident the moment we arrived within a white marbled temple, and the blade of my sword body slid into the stone much like that of a hot knife through butter. The human quickly jumped to its feet, and before Brutus reached to grasp my hilt, the human did so, swinging my body around with practiced strokes. "Well balanced," it muttered, rubbing my pommel slowly.
However, as it turned towards the Lich, it stopped and noticed the ethereal body of my skeletal self glaring down upon the insignificant human who dared to touch my person. The creature screamed towards my ethereal self, and tried to strike me down with the blade, but to no avail. As my own blade was not able to harm that which was mine, even if others did not know of this.
In retaliation for touching my person, one of my primary hand did grasp his body, raising it high into the air, and causing all to stare at the creature's body with amazement. Well, that is to say, except for Brutus who stared with disgust at not being able to come to my person before the other had reached my sword body.
All around us were the whisperings of white robed humans, of whom had summoned us to save their princess from something. Many of their words had reached my body, of which caused my imaginary lips to grin a feral grin, "We have summoned a god, and it is angry."
Yes, they had summoned a god, and my first act was to punish this lowly human who dared to lay a hand upon my person. Although I could not use my acidic poisons within my ethereal form, I could, however, still inflict death by way of touching an organ with my claws. Instead of a mere touch, I decided to vent a little and slowly pushed a clawed finger through the left side of its chest, where the heart resides.
"Carl," shouted the other humans, who could do nothing, but watch as their companion screamed with great rivers of blood flowing down from its chest.
"We have summoned a god, and it is angry," the whispers came again, as the humans in white fell upon their hands and knees.
My blade self fell to the ground from loosened fingers, and once it sank into the ground, so too did the body of the human who dared to touch my own. From here, Brutus had retrieved it, holding it aloft to allow my form to take the shape of a naked male human with long, molten silver-like hair. My eyes were like that of the twinkling stars above our heads, but far sharper than any great eagle, as were the rest of my facial features.
All eyes were turned towards my person, including the naive female mouse-kin, whose face was bright red as she stared at that which hung limply betwixt my legs. Just as she turned from my body, three female Undying appeared with a dark crimson robe and a gnarled, oak wood staff for my person to wear and wield.
"We have summoned a god, and it is angry," they whispered once more, as my eyes became bright, crimson orbs that stared balefully upon all who were in front of my person.
They have summoned a god, and I am angry.

Ashes of the Primordial
With the upcoming shutdown of the servers for Ragnarok Games’ deep dive VRMMO, ‘Ashes of the Primordial’, the player log of those online for the final night was depressingly empty-looking. A revolutionary level of realism drove Ashes to the forefront of the games market, billions of players enjoying their journey to power and glory as an avatar of their own creation. The final enemy of the game-world defeated, the company announced, in line with their stance from launch, that they would be shutting down the game exactly six months after the defeat of Sutr, the final boss. Ammanas, the player responsible for Sutr's defeat, stays online until the end. However, as the countdown hits 0, the start-hub of his dive rig (what would typically greet a forced ejection from a game) was no where to be seen and instead darkness greets him as he fades into unconsciousness. Awakening to unfamiliar sights in an unfamiliar body, one which turns out to be a lot more familiar than he first thought, now he must figure out where, how, why and what to do with the new world he finds himself in. Author note: I don't own the cover, just something found through a google search. This is also my first story and the MC will basically be unimaginably OP yet never really utilising his full power. He just wants to find somewhere to fit in to the new world he finds himself in and despite both his nature as a loner and his interests he will find himself forming connections with the denizens of this new realm. Hope you enjoy
