《Origin Point》Chapter 44

AN: After the fiasco that was the last two chapters, we are now heading onto the war. Afterwards comes the meet and greet with the Demon Lord, of whom will cause a bit of a shock if you haven't figured that part out, then comes the short journey back to the city, and finally I will drop the bomb shell that is the epilogue. The only hints for the Demon Lord is to look at those that are called "Demons", whilst the epilogue hint is at the end of chapter eight.
I do understand there is a lot to fix, and will be doing my best to appease the masses. Since yesterday's chat, I've been looking over the chapters I've done, throwing out much of it, and sticking in more details. It's not perfect, and I doubt it'll please everyone, but I just want people to know that I did listen, I am trying my best to take everything to heart and placing it down for you folks to read. I seriously need an editor for this, because I doubt it's correct.
As always, folks, thank you for reading thus far. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please let me know down below. Oh, and if there's a serious issue you'd like to discuss, you can always PM me.

"Such a marvelous feast, Brutus. You have my thanks." The Lich bowed low, almost touching the ground, as the rest of the horde began to stir from the revelry of the previous night. There were a few pockets of terrified elves, as many within began to drag them off towards a picket of long spears. Other spears were currently occupied with bodies upon their lengths, much like that of the female elf.
We did not bother to bring them with us, nor would we leave them alone. For we did not wish them to report to others as to what had transpired. No, instead they would be killed, although a few began to tear away the living flesh of a few elves for sustenance. These elves awoke to such pain and cried before they were shoved down upon the spears, leaving their bodies to the elements and predators of the land. However, a few did manage to escape, much to the delight of those who were being raised onto the spears. Unfortunately for them, those that escaped only returned as heads, as the rest of their bodies were being devoured slowly by others.
Did this bother my person at that time? No, it did not, as I simply laughed and drank in the sorrow, fear, and pain of those elves who would become the first of many to die such horrific deaths under my horde as though it were a cup of fine wine. This was so, purely for my amusement and curiosity, nothing more.
Ah, but there was a change in Silvana, who had been given a vial of my "blood" to drink. Her entire form had aged rapidly, as did her mind, until she was an adult. Of course, she still called my person "Papa", but watching her age rapidly due to my magicks caused my mind to exude a sliver of depression. I had desired to watch her age, along with the other children, and affect their growths slowly, as opposed to watch it happen in an instant.

However, although she became an adult, and had adult thoughts, she was still a child. She did not understand the urges and feelings that came from her entire being. Which is why I had the females of the horde come and mentor her as we journeyed forth to slaughter the humans. As to what she looked like... Have you ever heard of a Succubus? If not, then I shall tell you.
A Succubus is a female sex demon that comes in a variety of shapes and sizes. Their main abilities come from their bodies, and can make nearly every male fall under their spells of lust. Although their main source of energy comes from a male's lust, there are situations where females have fallen under their spells, but these very rarely occur. However, many of these demons have well endowed chests, but she does not. It was probably because she was an elf at the beginning, as her chest was still only a pair of small mounds.
The rest of her figure was well proportioned for an elven succubus, but she did gain a few oddities about her. For one, she grew a pair of spiral-like horns. They began from the edges of her forehead, and wrapped around her skull to end in points pointing upwards. Another was a spiked, serpent's tail, which had a whip-like appendage attached to the tip. The third were a pair of fangs that were merely elongated canine teeth, as well as a tongue that became barbed when outside her mouth.
We did not know what the last two were for, until she pounced onto a male elf that was struggling and being dragged towards the small forest of bodies stuck on long spears. The one who was dragging the elf yelped with surprise, as Silvana ripped him away from its grasp. She then opened her mouth wide, which extended her canines further, and bit down upon the now screaming elf's neck. Loud slurping sounds reached our ears, as she drank its blood. Her barbed tongue was being used to open the wound further, and something silvery-white shrieked with a mental wail, as it flew down her throat. Whilst this was occurring, the elf's body was slowly drying up until it became a husk of mummified flesh. Her eyes widened at the carcass of the elf, once she was finished, scampering back towards the females of the horde in fright and confusion.
However, what was truly odd about her were the thick, black lines that stretched about her body in spiral and crisscross patterns. These lines spiraled across her limbs, whilst the crisscross patterns were upon her torso, abdomen, and backside. Although they covered that which is between her legs, and the small mounds upon her chest, they still revealed everything her body had to the world. Which is why, after her feast, and much protest, I ordered the females to find her clothing within the destroyed village. I would not have the males of the horde ogle and try to harm Silvana as they did to the female elves.
No. Instead, I shall allow her to decide of whom she explores her body with, then subsequently destroy the male for touching her.
I had become my skeletal self at this point, allowing Silvana to look upon me in all my glory, before she left with the others to find her suitable clothing. "Thank you, My Lord High God," came the grateful reply of Brutus, whose own decayed and rotten lips cracked a smile, "You honor me greatly with your words."

"From this day forward," I rumbled, placing one of my lower clawed hands upon his head, "You are hereby given the office and title of Castle Torturer. When this is over and done with, you will begin with a variety of experiments upon our return."
His entire body didn't move for a time, but my own did, and came upon a group of tied up dragon-men who called themselves Draconian. All, save one, were staring in various direction with blank looks in their eyes. "Have their minds broken?" My voice rumbled softly, and reached for one of them, only to stop as the group began to cry out in an unknown dialect.
'You will be silent,' came a mental shout from the Lich, who was now standing near my right leg. The group quieted down, as they stared upon my person with abstract horror and disbelief.
"Do you understand my words?" My voice thundered down upon them, shaking most from whatever fantasies their mines were plaguing them with. Only one nodded its drake-like head, and was removed immediately, much to the protest and wailing of the others. "What is your name?"
"Sahsshin," it replied, rubbing the areas on its arms where the bindings were placed. We had moved away from its group, and had it sitting upon a table with cooked meat in front of it.
"Eat," my voice commanded, and it ate the flesh with gusto. However, it stopped when I asked, "Where is the Demon Lord?" It growled up at my being, causing all to jump to their feet, readying themselves for a fight. However, I calmed them all with my next words, ">." A silvery mist shot out from my hands, and wrapped themselves around the neck of a now fearful dragon-man. It tried to leave my presence, but could not because it was being held in place by Brutus, who was grinning quite evilly down upon it.
The lights within the creature dulled rather quickly, as the conversion spell rewrote his loyalties, and prostrated its body towards my being. "Where is the Demon Lord?" I asked once more, and it pointed in the direction we were still heading. "Good. Do you know how to get there from here, without getting caught by the humans?"
Once more it nodded, as I began to explain what I desired the creature to do, which was to tell the lord that an ally was coming. One that would strike the humans from behind, and that I and my horde will be there within a turn of the day-star once the messenger delivered its message. However, it would be returning alone, as the others had become too fearful of what had happened, and would be killed off. I would have enjoyed adding their small number to my horde, but their minds were too far gone. Instead, they would be killed, their meat eaten, blood drank, and scaled flesh used as armour.
Truly it was disappointing, but it didn't seem to bother my newest addition. It even went as far as to point out how best to skin its kind more efficiently. Before it left, however, I had it, along with everyone else, gather up into rows of one hundred each, whilst Brutus and Silvana, who was wearing some sort of tight leather armour, stood next to my skeletal body. "You have all given my person a great feast of torture, terror, lust, and sorrow. For this I am grateful, and as promised, your blessings."
Dark and terrible magicks began to form around my person, exuding a terrible fog of which one would see lightnings of emerald, sapphire, and ruby coloured streaks within. It billowed out of my person, slowly wrapping itself around my great horde, until it finally closed them all off. Once this was so, however, my voice thundered across the land, shaking the earth, trees, down to its very core, as I intoned another forbidden spell. This spell's name, I cannot say without inflicting you all with a fraction of its might. However, many simply call it, "The Gift of Chaos".
My clawed hands gripped the bodies of Brutus and Silvana, and my person leapt backwards from the dark fog of dangerous lightnings. Both shook with fear, as the screams of the horde began to echo around us. Shadow-like bodies from within the fog clutched at their heads and bodies, as limbs and claws erupted from their flesh. Some had sprouted additional heads, or simply liquefied before reforming and liquefying once more. Whilst others simply grew much larger than they were.
The spell itself takes the body of the intending target, tears it apart, and reconstructs it whilst adding other variables to the mix. These variables are simply a form of advancing one's evolution into a higher plane of existence. However, there is always a cost for such things, and it is normally extracted from the target's mind, transforming them into something akin to powerful beasts with some intelligence.
However, as this was taking place, a mighty roar came from the fog nearest our position. From this fog, a large figure leapt high into the air, extending its wings as it did so. It was the Draconian, you see, and its body had become that of a drake's. The drake then swooped down upon my body, with claws extended outwards, whilst Brutus and Silvana shouted with alarm. I, on the other hand, simply laughed at this drake, launching a multitude of chaotic lightnings onto the creature.
The amount of damage it took from my spells caused it to fall near my person, whereupon I pounced onto its head, forcing it to become my thrall once more. For you see, my dear audience, although a dragon and its cousin, the drake, are able to resist magicks, it cannot resist against those who are able to nullify their resistances. Thus the drake became the first of the race of dragons to become my thrall, which caused my person to roar with laughter. Even more so, when the fog began to dissipate, revealing monstrous creatures from the very worst of night terrors.
All watched as the drake flew off to give its report to the Demon Lord, then began to march as I roared, "To the human encampment!"

Celestial [A Progression Fantasy LitRPG]
Warning!Profanity, unconventional relationships, drug use, descriptive gore and intimacy. Celestial is a slow-paced and action-packed progression fantasy with elements from the LitRPG genre. The story focuses on the protagonist’s personal growth, violence, sex, exploration and adventure. Follow Zelaria as she embarks on her journey of exploration and adventure, seeking ever greater heights of power. With an affinity for the elusive and mysterious Arcane and a preference for the thrill of close combat she nonetheless chooses to walk the path of a mage. A mage may still use weapons but a warrior rarely casts spells as far as she knows. It’s a logical path for her even if others may call it insanity. What do they know? Most people who choose to specialize in wielding mana tend to pick a mage class aligned with their element. Why become a standard mage, average at everything, when you can use your affinity for fire to become a fire mage and cause destruction with ease? The only problem for Zelaria is that no one seems to know how to get a mage class aligned with the arcane. Approaching 17 years of age she’s still at level 0 while her peers have long left her behind, their classes selected at the age of 15 when they became available. Luck is on her side though as she manages to snag employment as a hauler with a party heading on an expedition to a dungeon abandoned centuries ago. They’re looking for riches and danger while she’s still looking for an answer, one she finds at their destination even if not in the way she expected. Nothing is going to stop her from enjoying all that the world has to offer, not the wish of her parents or even her death. I'll be aiming to upload 5 chapters in bulk every week.

The Oresteia (Modernized)
All three of the great Greek Tragedians have written plays about the bloody chain of murder and revenge within the royal family of Argos. Yet theirs is in fact not a story of tragedy, but rather one of redemption. As they move from darkness to light, from rage to self-governance, from primitive ritual to civilized institution, their spirit of struggle and regeneration becomes an everlasting song of celebration to be heard throughout the ages. Forming a discourse set against the emergence of Athenian democracy out of a period of chaos and destruction, the Orestian plays are compelling stories of the tensions between our obligations to our families and the laws that bind us together as a society. In the beginning, we witness how a king’s decision to sacrifice his daughter and turn the tide of war inflicts lasting damage on his family, culminating in a terrible act of retribution. In the aftermath of regicide, we behold how a son must set out to avenge his father’s death by committing a most egregious sin. In the end, the sinner is tormented by supernatural powers that can never be appeased, but ultimately finds redemption and ends the curse on his house once and for all. Woven through all of this is the story of a friendship so close that it elevates itself to brotherhood - Where the blood of the covenant is shown to be indeed thicker than the water of the womb. In this very brief twelve-chapter modern rendition of the Orestian plays, I have chosen to place my focus mainly on the lives of the characters Orestes and his best friend Pylades. The chapters, each around 2000-2500 words, are split up evenly between them in first-person narrative. I hope that you will come to enjoy reading this heartwarming story, but more importantly, that you see how the conflicts portrayed in the story, whether human or institutional, are still much very relevant to our societies today. Note on Sources: The details of this story is very loosely based on The Oresteia by Aeschylus. And I mean very loosely. Other sources that I referenced for detail and inspiration are Mythology by Edith Hamilton, Electra by Sophocles, and Iphigenia in Tauris by Euripides. You may also find that I have quoted some of these works, and others (such as Shelley's Ozymondaeus), without citations (average of 1-2 such quotes per chapter). I did this because I do not have the ability to describe certain scenes nearly as well as some of those writers. If you read a particularly beautiful piece of prose here, chances are it's probably stolen lol. Also, I wrote this during the summer between my high school senior year and my college freshmen year. It was the summer of 2020, and being quarantined apparently gets my creative side out lol.
