As he looked around and saw that the people around him were also awakening. However, he could see something on the back of their hands. A symbol shone there. He looked at his own hand, and was almost blinded by the bright light coming from it. The symbol in his hand was the image of a man seated in a meditating position, with a blue, almost transparent halo, around him.
Two lights, almost as bright as his, came from Amanda and Emmanuel. He couldn’t see the symbol on their hands, but the light they emitted was searing, mainly Amanda's light. He almost couldn’t look at her.
He read the description of his new skill and used it on people around him and read the information.

All of the new classers were level 1, as expected.
Soon, some people left the guild, and began to distribute gloves to them. He put on his glove to hide the symbol. The people that delivered were clearly avoiding to look at the symbol in their hands.
He identified the man that gave him the glove, and looked at the information.

It was something he never knew the reason why, but now he understood. All adults wore gloves to hide their symbols. He couldn't imagine why.
After that, the students left their seats and went to their families. He saw many people hugging, and even Emmanuel stood in front of a middle aged man, bowing his head respectfully while a smile sat on the man’s lips.
After some minutes, the group was entering the adventurers guild, and Fred followed them inside. He took a deep breath, tightened the grip around the pommel of his sword, which now sat inside a scabbard, courtesy of Clarissa, and entered the place.
The inside of the guild was…. Normal. It had some tables, and a place to the side that looked like a bar. There was a line forming in front of a balcony, and Fred waited on it.
After a few minutes, his time arrived, he was asked to place his hand over a formation on top of the table. A few seconds later, a card on the side of the formation shone, and the lady attending gave it to him.
“This is the proof that you are a member of the guild, and are allowed to enter inside the infinite dungeons. Infuse your mana inside the card and it will fuse with you. You can will it to leave your body in order to make transactions and use some other functions. This small booklet tells you its uses and some other needed information.”
Fred thanked her and turned around, leaving the line to read the booklet.
The card had many functions. Aside from serving as a guarantee someone was part of the guild, it could also be used to keep credits, and the card could even serve to identify if someone was human. There was a procedure in the booklet on how to use that function. Basically, if someone also had a card, he could inject his mana on a special rune on it and the cards would resonate, the other person was human because they had a card. He truly didn’t know what that function served for, would there be monsters disguised as humans in the infinite dungeons?

The booklet also said that new classers would only be able to enter the infinite dungeons one week from now, when they would form teams to enter.
Aside from the main hall, the guild had some other rooms for rent, mainly if someone wanted to use it for hidden negotiations and meetings.
Fred turned toward a door full of runes inside the hall. Even though there was a guard in front of it, he was not looking after the people entering the door, but what left it. He peeked into the corridor behind the door, and saw that it extended for some time, until natural rock formations took the place of the walls.
He wanted to enter the place, but knew that he should at least distribute his attribute points and know his skills better before going in. He saw that most of the ones that entered with him had already left the guild by now. He also left the building and walked toward Jouti’s home.
Clarissa had told him that Jouti said he could go there for training after the ceremony, and he really needed some help in knowing his skills better.
After getting out of the crowd, he walked toward Jouti’s home. After walking for a few minutes, he arrived. He knocked on the door and Jouti opened. Jouti analized him for a moment, and said. “hmm. Your mana has suffered great changes. Let’s see what you got.” He guided Fred through the garden, and they soon stood on the platform.
The cerenity he felt coming from his surroundings was even greater in the night, the soft touch of the moonlight on the flowers made everything unreal.
Jouti sat, and Fred did the same. “Now, you have a decision to make. Will you tell me what your skills do, or will you not? Skills from rare classes are often protected by their owners.”
Fred pondered for a moment, but decided to trust Jouti with his information in the end. He slowly told Jouti about his four class skills, and even told him what general skills he had. After hearing that, Jouti got up and said, “Wait here for a moment. I’ll be back soon.”
He walked inside the house, and came back with a round shield. It looked simple, but very sturd. It was made by an unknown metal to Fred. “Test your infinity armaments skill on this shield. Let’s see what you can do.” Fred nodded and with the shield in hand activated the skill.
Mana left his hand and filled the shield. After almost ten minutes, the mana inside the shield dissipated, and he could feel that a model of it was successfully created by the skill. He placed the shield on the ground, and willed his skill to activate. His mana churned and an exact copy of the shield that was now on the ground appeared in front of him. But instead of the metallic color, it was light blue. He felt his connection to the shield, and moved it around in the air. After some testing, he picked it up, and felt its weight. “It’s a bit lighter than the shield in the ground…” Fred said while willing his skill to activate once again, creating another shield in front of him. He made it float to Jouti, and let the old man analize it.
“You have an amazing skill in there Fred… It’s potential is almost endless…” Jouti could already think of many things that Fred could do with the skill. “Create as many shields as you can. Let’s see your limits.” Fred nodded and did as said.

He activated the skill once again, and a new shield appeared in front of him. He did it a few more times, until he was almost out of mana and unable to create another one. He could create eight shields, but only was able to control two at the same time. The others just slipped out of his control and fell to the ground. If he tried to control all of them, they just slipped out of his control.
After a few more tries, they came to the conclusion that this skill had a lot of potential, but for now he would have to familiarize himself with controlling only two creations. They let his hold over the skill slip, and saw them dissipating.
He grinned seeing the skill levels already coming.

“The first obvious option was the shield, which will be able to offer you protection. But what about your second model? Do you have something in mind?” Jouti asked.
Even before making the model of the shield, he already had something in mind.
He picked up his sword, and saw a grin appear on Jouti’s face. He began the process of getting its model, and after a few minutes it was done. Due to his enhanced mana regeneration, his mana was almost filled up again. He moved the sword around, and saw that his control over it was still lacking. He couldn’t use it in combat as it was.
But as he tried and manipulated it, his control got better.

He saw the synergy which his skills had. They would develop besides one another.
“From what you told me, your skills must have leveled a few times by now, right?”
Fred nodded and asked. “Why are they leveling so fast? I don’t remember my general skills being like that.”
“There are two reasons for that. First, all skills at lower tiers are easy to level. and second, all your skills are related to mana somehow, and your mana control skill is very high, making it easier to level them. If you had a sword related class, it would also be easy to level your skills up to some point.” Jouti explained and continued. “But now, let’s try your other skill.”
They walked to the side of the garden. There were some weights in there that Fred would use to test his strength. He began by picking some weight up with his normal strength. After that, he activated mana body and reinforced his body actively with mana. His strength almost doubled. He was stronger, faster and more resilient. They even purposefully wounded him, and he used the mana to boost his regeneration skill. His regeneration was twice as fast.
“It seems that the active boost from your mana body skill doubles the effects of your physical attributes and skills.”

They tested mana body and its limits. The skill looked to be simple, but it was very powerful. He could keep it up for thirty minutes, but it was enough during a battle. And jouti also taught him that if he didn’t have enough mana, he should only use the skill during attacks and to make short bursts of speed.
The last skill to be tested was mana sage. He began to apply techniques during his spars, and realized that the more he used them, the easier it was to use them another time. The description of mana sage was true to its nature, and made it easier for him to learn and repeat those things.
After knowing how his skills worked, they made a training plan. He had seven days to train before the youngsters who got their classes got back to the guild to form teams.
He looked at his status screen to get his attributes distributed before training.

“What?! How is that possible?” He said while looking at his attributes. his strength, agility and constitution had gone up by five points each. After talking to Jouti, he realized that those points were probably due to the passive ability of mana body.
“The points are probably rising that quickly because you just got the skill. The speed should slow down in the future.”
After that, they focused on training.

Willfred attacked Jouti with a slash while two spectral swords floated and attacked from other directions. The sword in his hand had a thin line of mana over it that expanded as Jouti evaded the attacks, trying to get to him.
His body was being enhanced by his mana, and he was using the skills in synchrony. They weaved around the platform, Fred pursuing Jouti, and trying to hit him. Fred’s body was accompanied by many small mana techniques. Small bursts of mana left his feet to make him faster, each time he swung his sword, mana left the back of his sword and his arms to make the attack faster.
“What a speed of development! He will be able to quickly go over the first layers of the dungeons with his team.” Jouti thought while evading the attacks.
Fred had grown a lot during this week. His combat prowess was much stronger, and even his endurance got better due to his skills leaving inferior rak and becoming common ranked.
Looking at his status, he felt proud of his growth.

He had distributed his ten points, five for each wisdom and intelligence, and the growth of his other attributes was stopping. He had not even earned a point on the last day, but knew that the growth he had shown was exceptional. Fred waved Jouti goodbye and went toward the guild.

Domain of Man
Isolation is terrible. To feel isolated with your fellow man around you is worse. What if you were dumped in some backwards cave somewhere, completely nude, maybe with your family, or even completely alone? The age of pioneers, heroes, generals, and geniuses is long gone. Humankind has become numb to the world around it because of how paltry everything else is compared to the glory of its history, the sheer volume of their accomplishments, and the sum of its innovations. You can interact with people across the world, travel miles in mere hours, and never prepare your own food or shelter, and it's all accessible to even the normalest of individuals. Artificial intelligence is within arms reach in devices and computers and even houses, and neural interfaces aren't exclusive to the rich and powerful at this point. Someone far in the distance took notice of Earth, saw the multitude of hairless apes swarming its surface. That one went down the checklist to see if humanity had, in fact, beaten the 'game' of Life. Sure enough, they had gone above and beyond the requirements, but nobody had been watching. 'Why might that be?', that one wondered. Protocol was protocol, though, no matter how strange the situation was. They pulled the lever, they flipped the switch. It's time for New Game +. ??? Don't be afraid to leave critique or share your support! I really appreciate any feedback you can give. In any case, I sincerely hope you enjoy the story! It's going to be a wild ride.
