《What is god to a non believer》C3: Pirate Candy

Before I swam too far away, I memorized the location of my home. It would be bad If I forgot the way back to it. I am already swimming for 2 days. It is night currently and I am near the city. They must be really angry because there is raining, a giant monster is observing them and it seems like they are attacked by some sort of pirates. I wonder what to do? This cultivation world in the novel which I read had always some crazy and overpowered experts. I can risk a fight but I have a bad feeling, for now, let's observe them. They are fighting and unleashing this weird attack like Palm of the glowing Dragon or Finger of the vicious Kraken. The power of normal soldiers is equivalent to the firepower of Earth fully equipped modern soldier. Threat level 0. Higher ranked officers or something like that are slightly stronger. I would judge them as tanks. Better firepower but nothing to worry. Threat level 0. There are 10 flying guys for city and 8 for pirates. They would be like AH-64 Apache. Their attack would be painful. They are two guys who still didn't make a move. If my way of thinking is correct I would give them a threat level equivalent to that of a fighter jet or more. So if I am going to fight, they are the only ones that can hurt me. Wait for a second, I can smell something very tasty. The smell is coming from this bossy pirate. He is holding a crystal like the one I ate from the sharks. Ok, I am going for my snack.
Pirate boss POV:
We attacked this port city thanks to one thing. Level 5 beast crystal. In a normal situation, it would be impossible to get my hand on it. Even if 100 of me tried to kill that beast we would be wiped out. I was lucky that my spy found about it, and of course this stupid city lord. How stupid his family is, he just talked about it to every wealthy person in the city. It is my lucky day. I decided to put it into jade isolation box so that any monster or beast will be able to find about it. I ordered my man to take what they can and start to retreat. Then something hit my ship.

-Asshole what are you doing, if you scratch even one millimeter of my ship I will hang you from my mast.-I turned around to see who was that intelligent. What I saw was darkness, rain too stopped for a moment only to fall with streams the next second. It was a giant beast over 60 m tall. It was looking at me, or exactly at my box. He winked, took a deep breath and roared.
City Girl POV
I came from the wealthier family, my father was a martial arts teacher at the army camp and my mother had a restaurant. Until the pirates attacked, my father went to mountains with his students to help them gain some real battle experience. I and my mom were hiding in the secret room in our basement. Father ordered it to be built to help us hide from danger while he was out of the city, but it didn't. Pirates blew up the door to the secret room and stabbed my mother. Mom fainted and they took me away. They locked me in one of their ships. I was so scared, one of them was raping my friend. Sho was begging them to stop but they didn't. Why should they listen to cries of the 12 years old girl? They were coming and going and she cried. One of the men finally killed her, but in what way. He impaled her so strong that his sword could be seen from her mouth. I started praying to gods for saving. If they couldn't save me, I was asking them for fast and painless death. I closed my eyes. Then I felt like the ship is shaking, the horrible loud roar was next. I could hear the screams of the people. Big claw penetrated the ceiling of the ship and ripped it apart. I could see someone in the fist of the monster. I think it was the boss of the pirates. He was struggling to free himself but the monster didn't even flinch. He just put him in his mouth and swallowed. Then he looked at me and what was inside of the ship. First time in my life I felt such overwhelming power.

MC POV
I am slowly swimming to get my snack. I am very careful. When I am near the flagship I stood up as silent as I could. I accidentally hit the ship and its captain seems to be pissed. He is turning around and looking at me. I look at him, then on his box which contains my candy. I take step back, make a deep breath and majestically roar at him. There is only 1m between my mouth and his face. He became white in an instant, but he is still holding the box. I decided to just take a box from him. It is much harder than you think. I just ripped apart the deck of his ship and squashed him flat. The candy in the box wasn't better than the one I already ate. It tasted like this cheap hard candy. It was worthless. Ops, after a meal you have to wash your hands. It is uncomfortable when something is sticking to it.When I leaned to wash it I saw what was inside of the ship. There were young girls. One of them seemed dead. She had the sword sticking out from between her legs and mouth. She was impaled by this bastards. One of the many girls inside was looking at me and I couldn't feel any fear from her. It was slightly pissing me off but she was too weak to be bothered by this. I think she was just admiring me. Ok, time to wipe out pirates. It was good that I started with my roar, not my breath. But how I am going to do that?

Shaman
*** Let's get this clear now: the MC is a trans woman. This is not a gender-bender. It's set in a fantasy world but the exploration of identity and gender is reality-based. Not a joke, not a kinky turn-on. If this is a problem for you, please just act like an adult and look elsewhere for something to read. *** Rating breakdown, since that should be public info: 2 x 5*, 1 x 4.5*, 1 x 3*, no reasons offered. A human shaman and healer returns from several years with the mysterious shyani, accompanied by her shapeshifting puma best friend. A valued friend, from her previous identity as a male student physician, has acquired an old shyani book, and extremists will not tolerate its presence in human hands. But back in human lands, the question arises: which world does she belong in? Generations ago, human explorers found a continent inhabited by an utterly alien culture of shapeshifting weyres and the shyani, humanoids who prefer dusk and dawn. A truce of sorts was eventually reached: humans claimed the rich lowlands, and the shyani and weyres retain the highlands. Along the border, practicality often rules, but on either side, old grudges linger in some hearts. As a student physician, Corin tried to take his own life, unable to bear the countless tiny wounds inflicted over twenty-one years of lying to himself in order to be, or pretend to be, socially acceptable. At the last improbable instant, intervention came, in the form of a spirit fox, who led him away from the existence he’d known in the lowlands and into the highlands. There, a puma weyre rescued him, and a shyani shaman helped him find his true self and offered a rebirth, a life with no more lies, and an important role to fill. Now a shaman and healer in her own right, Vixen who was once Corin learns that the one human who mattered to her in her previous life, then a fellow University student, has come into possession of an old shyani book, and the more fanatical shyani and weyres will stop at nothing to reclaim it and punish Jared. Even though it means going back into the lowlands and facing Jared as a woman, she can’t bear to just look the other way. This should be a short visit, just long enough to see the book into the proper hands and make sure Jared will not be killed for having it, and then she can return to the shyani community that has accepted her as their shaman. And, of course, her feline best friend Dayr insists on coming with her. But Jared is now a Lord, with considerable wealth and power, and his response to her presence isn’t one she expected. After years living with the shyani, she sees everything around her from a new perspective, and that makes it difficult to keep to the plan of making as few waves as possible. As an honoured guest in a highborn house, with only Jared aware that she has ever been anyone else, Vixen finds herself questioning where she belongs: with Dayr and the shyani, who accept her gender without question but have to make allowances for her differences, or with humans, in the culture she grew up in even though her past would mean a major scandal? *** Trigger warning: there are scenes of Vixen's previous life, which include some difficult moments and culminate in an (obviously unsuccessful) attempt at suicide before she finds her true self and a better life. Please be careful! This is the ONLY reason for the "Traumatising Content" tag.*** Complete stand-alone novel, 96K words. Also available on Scribble Hub and as a free ebook.

Lawman.
Lawman follows the exploits of Relovan, a Human Police Enforcer stationed on the BlargonianPlanets – a series of small planets on which pure Essence is mined, and refined into fuel. On hisday off, he finds himself and his fellow Enforcers caught up in a fight between two Void Lords, beings of immense power, who answer only to the Council, after the pair of Void Lords touchdown on the Station, seeking to refuel their respective Void Walkers. In the ensuing clash,Relovan punches above his weight and subdues a number of Void Knights – those in the serviceof the Void Lords – before becoming directly involved in the confrontation between the VoidLords themselves. His performance during the incident catches the attention of the current PoliceChief, Nura, who essentially takes him under his wing, and assists him in various ways, including when he is summoned to answer before the Council for getting involved in the spatbetween the two Void Lords. The book ends after the conclusion of the Hearing.Relovan is a stickler for the Law – something that prompted him to learn not only the laws ofvarious territories and planetary systems, but also the native languages and customs, so as touphold the law as best he can. As a highly trained, and immensely skilled former soldier,Relovan’s abilities along with his latent talent regarding the use of Essence, allow him to hangwith beings infinitely more powerful than him. Lawman is a full length manuscript that I will likely self publish once I have the artwork for it.
