Out of the dust cloud emerged a giant worm like creature. It’s mouth opened as it showed rows of sharp jagged teeth. The giant worm looked down at ShiningSun and his men.

“SCREEECH!!!!”

ShiningSun looked on in horror, as more of these monsters emerged from the other pods. “Holy...what is that!” Someone yelled in the group. Nobody had time to answer that person question, because that when the worm made its move. It plunged towards ShiningSun and his group. “Scatter!” ShiningSun yelled and dodged to the side. The worm swallowed a couple of unlucky people who didn’t get out of the way fast enough, it burrowed underground and popped up a few meters away targeting another group of players. ShiningSun had never heard of something like this but he didn’t have the time to figure where these things had come from. “How long until the System sends in a security force.‍♂️” ShiningSun asked. “Sir, they should be here three hours at most.” ShiningSun clenched his jaw. “Fuck!” The ground trembled constantly from the worms going in and out of the ground. ShiningSun split everyone into teams off one hundred. There was five worms in total. ShiningSun plan was to focus down the worms while the rest engaged the enemy troops, at least until the security forces come. Three hours was a long time and anything could happen.

In the first hour, ShiningSun plan seemed to be working, the teams made an encirclement around there target and focused fired at the worm. If the worm tried to go underground to escape, then a squadron of fighter would fly by and bomb the area. Causing the worm to resurface. So far they had killed three out of the five warms. So ShiningSun sent one of the teams to help another team deal with the worm, while he sent the remaining two to the frontline to help deal with the enemy troops. They were becoming more of a problem then the worms. They were dressed out in black gear and had on helmets that covers their face, it looked really high tech. I was Inside the command center, listening to the reports come in one after another. The good news was that we killed the last remaining worm so we had more troops to use, but the bad news is the enemy troops broke through another line of defense.

“Can’t you guys figure out who the fuck these people are!” I yelled at my team.

“Boss we have tried, but it seems these people came out of nowhere.” Somebody said. It was already past the two hour mark, from the progress the enemy was making. They would have breached inside the building before the security forces could get here. Just as ShiningSun was thinking of another plan someone shouted.

“Oh shit!”

“What is it Treestump?” I asked. Treestump has been in the guild since it started, and I have been friends with him for a long time in real life also. Treestump looked at me with a solemn face. “I was just checking out the forum to see if there was anything about this group...but it seems this is a lot bigger than we thought.” Treestump said sending me the link. I opened it up and my mind shook. There was nothing but chaos on the forum right now, posts were popping up to fast and videos was being uploaded by the second. This is what some of it said.

Butter pop: is that a giant worm? That shit looks like what’s inside my pants.

Joji: wait I just saw a video of a giant worm attacking the Havens Reach guild, what guild is this?

Limbo: guys! Guilds are being attacked all over flourim right now! People are using the ports like crazy.

I closed out the forums to try and wrap my head around everything. It seems that guilds all over are being attached but not every single one. Just some small sized ones and some decent medium sized guilds. None of the top ten has been touched but word is they are starting to move troops around just in case, no one has come out and claimed responsibility for this attack...well at least not yet at least.

“Sir the enemy has broken through the last line!” Somebody shouted bringing ShiningSun out of his thoughts. “Fuck me, prepare to engage the enemy in the halls!” I shouted. I could hear gunshots and screams. Teams ran past me heading towards the enemy.

“The security forces are here! The enemy is retreating!”

I smiled at the news, they got here thirty minutes early. “Do a check to see how many got a game over. You, you, and you follow me.” I said heading out the door. We got outside to see the system security forces, or the empires troops you might as well say land and disembarked. A cruiser overhead was blasting g out and open message. ##surrender and lay down your weapons or we will shoot to kill.##

The enemy troops did not listen and continued to retreat back to their ships. The ships started to lift of the ground and fly away. Some of the enemy troops did not make it in time, so they immediately turned around and started shooting only to be quickly shoot down. The area turned peaceful. A man dressed in a military uniform came up to me. “Are the one who has ownership of this land?” He asked. I looked at him and told him yes and that I was very thankful for the help. He gave me a nod and said it was his duty and to not forget to always pay the security fee. He the. Turned around and was ordering his men to leave.

“Wait!” I said. “What if they come back?” The man turned around and gave me a sigh. “I’m sorry but we are getting reports of attacks all over, we have no time to stick around.” And with that the man turned and got into a ship.

Later more details about the attacks was released. In each continent some small guilds and clans had been attacked. Some was even destroyed before security forces came. The decent sized guilds and clans made it through but still took casualties. It was more of the easy small sized guilds that was attacked in this more than it was anyone else. The attacks happened randomly across the continent so every small guild was not attacked, just those who was unfortunate. Some big guilds did get attacked like the SunBlazers Guild for example. Videos of their fight blew up like crazy on the forums. The big top three guilds was not touched at all, which made everyone else think this was a some kind of plot. Some thought this was an event by the game and others thought it was that mysterious group New Order, but majority of the people thought it to be the plot of the three top guilds. Looking to finally take over their respective continent, taking out the small fry so they can not band together. A lot of rumors floated about and this made the news again.

The game was slowly changing and people felt a great storm was coming. Who would come out of it, nobody knew. But in game and outside of it, forces started to move.
