First World

About two thousand years ago, there was a clan called Jidda. It began during the reign of king Báya, the seventh leader of the clan. When Báya was born, the first part of his body to touch the ground was his feet. He didn't come crying helplessly like others, he stood with his legs and, in front of the birth attendants, he walked.

One step, two steps, three steps... seven steps.

Seven steps in the east before he fell.

The birth attandants ran to the king with this story, but the king didn't believe them. He silenced them even.

"I don't want people to call my son 'cursed'." The king said.

Nobody else knew about what happened that day.

Surprisingly, the king named his son Báya, meaning seven in Wilburish.

Báya grew up into a talented young mage. In a few years, he became widely known, even strong enough to compete against the other First Worlders.

Years later, his father died and he became king. He established the small tribe into a well known clan all over the First World.

King Báya married princess Aiáya Urúrú, the fourteenth princess of the second most powerful clan in the world.

Everyone was surprised when a lowly tribe married the daughter of the second most powerful man in the world. Ururu were widely known for avoiding interclan marriages, always wanting to keep their bloodline pure. How did Báya ended up with an Urúrú.

The kings were surprised, most of them had, in one time or the other, wanted to marry an Urúrú but they were rejected. The entire world was shaken by the absurdity of the situation.

Half of the world leaders attended the wedding just to confirm the event. Even King William Wilberforce sent his eldest son to represent him.

Aiáya Ururu had black eyes and a dark skin that shone dimly in the morning. She came to the wedding with a tight black dress the color of her eyes. Even among Ururu, Dáya could be considered a top beauty.

After the wedding, the leader of the Urúrú, Kuyurussa'ayi Urúrú, gave Báya a new title and a new land.

Eight years later, Aiáya gave birth to twins. Báya and an old woman were there. This old woman was the last living person that attended his birth.

The first baby that came out cried helplessly like any baby, but the second baby, which was a girl, literally stood and walked seven steps before she fell.

Báya remembered the story he was told by his mother. He closely monitored the girl as she grew up. This girl became even more formidable than he was. She changed the tribe's name from Jidda to Baya-jidda by adding the prefix Báya.

That was how the tribe finally became Bayajidda. Several members were later born with this Gift, until it was no longer treated as a secret. Each Gifted member made a name for themselves and protected Urúrú for a century. They named the Gift King Steps (Shulrúba in Wilburish and Shaibal-Shísu in Aldurish).

But one day, the Gift suddenly disappeared. Nobody was born with it again. No one knew how or why the Gift came and nobody knew why it was gone. It just disappeared in the same way it had come.

For several centuries, the tribe didn't produce a single Gifted mage. All the Gifted ones died and the shining star of the tribe disappeared into the horizon. Urúrú disowned them. After a few hundred years, people forgot about the Gift. Few even remembered the tribe anymore.

King Iluru inhaled deeply and closed the book. He moved closer to his son and lowered his voice to a whisper. "Nineteen years ago, a child was born with this Gift. I have spent the last nineteen years looking for the boy. All my sources told me this boy is Tyren O. Bayajidda. But I need a proof. A proof only you can get."

"How, father? I know we are friends with him but I can't just ask him to tell me if he's a Gift."

"You don't have to, I just need to make a few adjustments to your Nail Prison."

"My Nail Prison? Um.. I get it. But he has already seen my Prison, I think he may pick it up."

"I know your friend is smart but who do you think I am?"
