Ren and Master Korgan: “Now then…What are we going to do?”

Both of them had a burden upon their shoulders. One had the third Trial of the Selection of Demon King while the other had the meeting between Demon Lords.

Master Korgan suggested that the two of them meditate, but so far all they have achieved was crying into pillows and looking absentmindedly at the sky.

Shaula: “What the hell am I watching?”

Master Korgan is always strict and professional on all matters, but apparently that is not his real personality. With his family around, he tends to show more of his real self.

And his real self turns out to be strikingly similar to Ren.

Or it would be more accurate to say, Ren really did take after his grandpa.

Aside from being a half human, Ren was practically a younger version of Korgan.

Master Korgan: “I am sure the Third Trial will be fine, grandson”

Ren: “Right and the meeting between Demon Lords will go perfectly”

Master Korgan and Ren: ‘Who am I kidding?’

Ren: ‘There is a possibility I will run into Zirc and the jig will be up. I can tell he will butcher me on the spot.’

Master Korgan: ‘How the hell am I supposed to keep my mind calm while dealing with them? By inviting me together, it is same as declaring, ‘You are either with us or against us!’’

The grandfather and grandson duo may both be brave weirdoes, but each one had his own share of problems to take care of.

Master Korgan and Ren: ‘I want to get drunk…and forget about all this….’

Since both were crow type demons, their behavior synchronized so well, to the point that Shaula was looking at the scene with a solemn confirmation.

Shaula: ‘Yep, apple does not fall far from the tree, all right’

The Third Trial would start the very next day.

Every demon participating in the Third Trial from the Tengu clan was ready.

Now it was a matter of getting a good night’s rest.

Ren ended up falling asleep as soon as he lay on his bed.

What he did not expect was his lust-crazed fiancée to enter his room.

While Dragon type demons are known for being wise and loyal, there is one thing history books or personal accounts forget to mention.

They are known for being sex crazed maniacs, by all definitions of the word.

To them, not giving in to that kind of desire is the same as not being allowed to eat.

To be fair, Lotus had never taken mate during the entire twenty three years of her life, but now that she was betrothed, she thought it would be allright to let herself loose, just a little.

Since she did not have any sexual experience, she was not exactly sure what to do. In fact, she was hoping Ren would wake up and act accordingly.

All she did was come close and cuddle up next to him in bed.

It was supposed to be an innocent act of sharing a bed together. Unfortunately for her, Ren’s inner self had other plans.

Soon enough, Lotus found herself being used as a hug pillow. Both Ren’s arms and legs were wrapped around her body. For a moment she was surprised, but then she sighed.

Lotus: “Not what I was expecting, but this is fine as well. One step at a time…”
