《Rise of Demon King》Volume 5: Chapter 38: Nightmare

Each member of Divine Lords wore a special ring that allowed them to teleport to any desired location.
But those rings were also connected to each other, so a wielder of one ring could force another wielder’s ring to activate and teleport the wearer.
And that’s exactly what happened to Shengyn.
He found himself in the Silver Sparrow’s base.
“Death Hand, I am glad you are safe” Silver Sparrow’s voice sounded out behind him.
He was no longer in the middle of a battle but in a safe location.
“Why did you interfere?” Shengyn’s voice was ice cold. He was still in his True Demon Form, so he still had the appearance of a two and half meter tall humanoid crow. He had two black wings on his back and a beak for a face.
Using the power of her demon eyes, Bird’s Eye View, Silver Sparrow kept track of Shengyn’s actions.
“Your chances of victory were nonexistent. Had I left you there, you would have perished. It was completely reckless of you to charge in there without thinking everything…”
Then, Shengyn turned to face her.
“…through” Silver Sparrow gasped.
The face before her, the face of the crow demon that was so familiar, yet she could not believe her eyes.
Tears streamed down her face.
She fell on her knees.
“Y-Ymit?”
She hesitantly asked. But her question was met with a confused response.
“Ymit? Who is that supposed to be? It’s just me, Death Hand”
Shengyn reverted back to his humanoid form, but now for the first time, Silver Sparrow saw his face without a mask covering it.
It was the face of a young boy she once knew.
Before she could speak, Shengyn said.
“I will take my time to recuperate. I expect not to be disturbed during this time, Silver Sparrow”

‘Silver Sparrow, huh. Not Shan’
For a moment she thought it was that boy.
But his eyes were different.
Soon enough, Shengyn left the base, leaving the speechless Shan in tears.
No matter how much he resembled that boy, Silver Sparrow knew it was not him.
‘He may resemble the late Sagyn, but he is obviously not him’
But for a moment, she wished that it was.
Death Hand unintentionally reminded her of the two people she came to love but ended up losing.
Ymit, the demon she cherished, and Sagyn, the child she grew to love as her son.

“AAAH!” Ren woke up with a shout.
The dream he had…it just felt all too real.
First it was that scary Phoenix Demon Lord….
Then he was fighting against Zirc Altyn of all people…
And last, but not least, he saw the face of Shan, the demon he found out was his mother.
“What is going on?” Ren clutched his head, unaware that the dream he had were him seeing through his twin brother’s eyes….

Hero
Kuren is just your average boy. He's just been asleep for one thousand years. Heroes and grand epics. Kuren doesn't have the time to think about things like that, nor does he really care. Join Kuren as he wanders the fantasy land of Alurca in search of his lost memories and the reasons behind his lengthy slumber. This is sort of a reboot of Anomaly, the first novel I tried to write. I gave up Anomaly after going to college. I thought about going back to it, but... when I look at it now, it's not very good. It was very edgy and not much substance behind that edge. The story wasn't quite going anywhere since I hadn't given the main character a goal. I had planned out a story, but I forgot to to plan out the details between the beginning and end. So this one's for real. Hopefully you won't be disappointed.
