Draco clan of Dragon demons, the once great clan that once produced the first Demon King of the Kalkan Kingdom, Arin Draco, now was reduced to a mere shadow of its former self.

Their lands have become infertile, their young ones were starving, their clan only had twenty eight members left, and after the second trial of the Selection, only two of the three participants came back alive, dropping their number to twenty seven.

After the death of their Demon Lord, the patriarch of the Draco clan, they have faced a very sharp decline, with the neighboring clans attacking them, their strengths were reduced significantly, and their current leader was nowhere near strong enough to fill in her father’s shoes.

When their current leader, Lotus Draco arrived from the Second Trial, she was heavily injured, relying on her subordinate to support her, while her other subordinate did not make it back.

After a couple of days of recuperation, Lotus Draco’s wounds have healed, and now she was thinking of what was going to happen to her clan.

Several members of the Draco clan had apparently visited the Tengu clan to ask for Sento Draco’s aid in rebuilding the Draco clan.

They refused, but instead proposed that Draco clan join the Tengu clan as its subordinates, and the conditions they were offering were quite good, except for one.

Lotus had to become the concubine of the current leader of Karatengu clan.

‘Give me a break, I have never even met this demon, and now I have to become his woman….’

Lotus’s red hair was well accentuated by her purple eyes.

She couldn’t help but look out of the window, seeing the sad state her clan was in.

It wouldn’t be long before they die of either starvation or conquest by their enemies, by now, they had practically no resources or strength left, so the enemies will have a very easy time erasing them from existence.

“But if it is for the sake of my clan’s survival, I will do what I must”

Lotus clutched her side in pain.

The injury she received during the Second Trial may have healed, but it still hurt to move around.

‘That man…’

Her mind flashed back to a hornless man who attacked them during the Second Trial. Strangely, he had a single demon eye that glowed with eerie light.

He fought them, three on one, yet he held his ground and managed to heavily injure her while killing one of her subordinates.

They barely managed to escape with the aid of their wings.

Whenever she closed her eyes she would see the face of that man, walking towards her with the confidence of a killer, and she would wake up again, startled beyond words to describe.

It was safe to say, that man’s face had become somewhat of a traumatic topic for her.

‘I must calm down….That was during the Second Trial, I will most likely never see that monster ever again…Calm down….’

Right now there was a matter of utmost importance; she had to prepare to meet her groom to be.

When she arrived after the Second Trial, her clan members informed her of the conditions that Tengu clan imposed, which initially left her in shock, but she immediately decided to accept it, for they did not have any other choice if they wanted to survive.

If it was for the sake of her clan, her body was a low price to pay.

‘Still, in my twenty three years of life, I never once have been with a male…What should I do? What will he demand of me? What if he wants to….’

“Mistress” one of her clan members, Nilli Draco broke her out of her trance.

“Yes!” Lotus Draco ended up shouting out.

“Time has come for Mistress Lotus to meet the leader of Tengu clan” Nilli Draco was a young member of Draco clan, whom Lotus treated like her little sister.

She was obviously saddened by the circumstances, but understood that there was no other way out.

“Do not worry; no matter what he throws at me, I shall be ready. I will not let him step all over the pride of our clan. I promise you, I will keep our clan safe.”

“Mistress Lotus is trying her best for our clan, that is already more than we can ask for….I am very sorry that it ended up like this. For our clan to sacrifice our leader just in order to survive…..I am ashamed to call myself your subordinate”

Nilli was crying, Lotus could tell she was trying her best to be brave as her leader was about to sacrifice herself, but seeing someone she looked up to as her older sister reduced to such a state under the circumstances was not exactly something she could hold back her feelings on.

“Nilli…” Lotus hugged her up close.

“Be brave, Nilli, for my sake, please be brave”

Lotus herself had to admit, she was scared, scared of what awaited her, but she knew that no matter who she will face, she had to be ready for anything he would do. At the very least, she knew her body would no longer be her own…

Lotus Draco, accompanied by her escort, arrived at the entrance to the territory of the Tengu clan, where the patriarch of Karatengu clan, Korgan Karatengu, proceeded to let them in through the barrier protecting their territory.

With two Demon Lords on his side, Ren Karatengu could rest assured that his territory was always safe.

They followed Master Korgan, joined by Sento Draco; they proceeded to head towards the place where Ren Karatengu, the current leader of Tengu clan was residing in.

They entered a building, and as one, they sat down, waiting for the leader of Tengu clan to show himself.

Other than Sento Draco and Master Korgan, there were many members of Tengu can gathered to witness what was about to happen.

“Master Ren, your fiancée has arrived” Sento said it loud enough for Ren inside the room to hear it.

Then, Lotus heard a sound of something falling off on the ground.

‘Calm down me, no matter what he does, I shall not look away, I shall not flinch, for the fate of my clan is on the line, I will not back down. I shall be ready, no matter what he throws at me. Ren Karatengu, whatever you have, bring it on, I am not afraid of you!’

Then, the doors of his room parted, revealing the leader of the Tengu clan himself.

“Greetings!”

Everyone gasped.

Lotus’s eyes were wide open at what was in front of her.

She was sitting down so her head level was low enough for her to be staring directly at it.

Ren Karatengu emerged out of his room, with not a single patch of clothing on him, with his fully erect morning wood in full view (in Lotus’s case).

He was full nude.

‘Is this what they call the morning wood? Does that mean he is going to…?’

“Aaah-aaah-aahhh….” Lotus hands were trembling, her eyes spinning in their orbits, and she soon found herself passing out.

“Mistress Lotus!” Everyone in Draco clan panicked after their leader ended up passing out.

“Did I do something wrong? Oh….” Ren finally realized he was unclothed.

“WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU THINKING?!” Aijasyl and Shaula who managed to recover from the initial shock of seeing their leader naked, pounced on him, dragging him back to his room.

Outside the room, aside from the shocked Tengu and Draco clan members, a sound of laughter could be heard.

It was Master Korgan who was laughing to his heart’s content.

“As expected of my grandson!”

To Master Korgan, this looked like a strategic move that Ren managed to execute perfectly, in order to make his fiancée realize her place is underneath him, not above or on equal grounds with him.

It was a very bold move but when done correctly, it would have a demoralizing effect on the Draco clan’s leader.

What he did not know was the fact that Ren had not planned this at all.

It was simply a misunderstanding that led to Lotus Draco’s horrible first impression of Ren Karatengu, her groom to be.

‘Ren Karatengu…He is something else….’
