《Owning a cute little pet》Tokyo why are you so dangerous?

The attacker was dead. A bullet had pierced his skull and smashed his brain.
Despite that the commotion was far from over. After all there was no way those people who had never once experienced a shooting would calm down fast after going through such an event. Cried echoed from the buzzing crowd and many people entirely lost their reasoning, leaving behind luggage, children and women alike.
I couldn’t judge them since I had also only thought about myself the moment the gun was shot, but I still felt slightly disappointed in humanities moral integrity. Of course, the one I was most disappointed in was still myself.
Finally, someone stepped in to resolve the chaotic situation. A badge flashed, and a young Japanese man spoke with an authoritarian voice. His English was quite bad, but it was barely understandable.
“Carm down! I’mu from de policu! We havee the situation unda contol!”
Honestly his English was cringy enough to make people laugh even in this situation. Even Shiina, who was partly Japanese herself couldn’t help but grimace and try to hide her grin.
The people gradually calmed down, especially as an announcement in more regular English reassured everybody that the situation had been resolved and the offender was killed.
At the same time the group of police officers, most of whom were wearing casual wear, walked towards our group. For a moment Shojiro and the two bodyguards became defensive, fearing that the trouble wasn’t over yet, then they suddenly relaxed.
“Second boss!”, Shojiro greeted the man at the front of the police officers. He wasn’t the once who had spoken earlier and calmed down the panicked mob, but in fact the one who had shot the attacker.
I was quite surprised. Since my three guards had recognized this man and Shijiro called him second boss I could guess who this person was. Shiina was also there to verify my suspicion.
“Uncle Yamato!”, she cried out in relieve and ran over to the man, almost jumping into him before wrapping her arms around his waist.
The man, who I judged to be about 30 or so years old, smiled and gently patted Shiina’s head.
“Welcome back Shi-chan, it seems like you got yourself quite the troublesome husband!”, he threw me a difficult to read look.

Shiina grinned.
“Husband isn’t quite right yet!”, despite her words she seemed quite elated that her uncle had called us a married couple.
The man sighed and gently shook his head. Peeling Shiina off his body he walked towards the rest of us. Shojiro and the other two men immediately bowed while I was trying to figure out how I was supposed to threat this uncle in-law of mine.
In the end I just performed a slight bow that could be called polite but adequate. I don’t want to brag, but the time I spend learning about Japanese culture wasn’t for naught!
“Uncle Yamato’s” brows arched in surprise since I actually chose the most Japanese way of greeting and an approving smile briefly appeared on his lips. He returned the greeting and then reached out with his hand to shake mine.
It honestly felt like he didn’t want to be left behind in terms of appreciating each other’s customs.
I grinned wryly and shook his head.
“Ryan Lenish, glad to meet you.”, I looked straight into his brown eyes.
“Tama Yamato, I’m also glad to finally meet my nieces ‘master’.”, he unwaveringly returned the look and for a few seconds we tested each other.
Finally, both of us let go of the other’s hand and stepped back a little to restore personal space.
“Who was the attacker?”, I went straight to the topic and asked my new relative.
He seemed a little surprised that I would be this straightforward and calm after what had just happened but replied almost immediately.
“Russian, about 24 years old, no identification on him.”
Well it was obvious what had happened.
“The Russian’s are finally trying to get revenge for what happened in Aachen…”, I said with a serious expression. Actually, I was surprised that they had waited for so long.
Uncle Yamato nodded.
“That is most likely the case.
There shouldn’t be a need to worry though, now that they failed once it will take them some time to deploy a new assassin to japan. After all the Russian mafia isn’t very influential in japan!”
I nodded. Then my eyes fell on his badge.
“How come a member of the yakuza is actually working as a police officer, and from the looks even quite a high standing one?”

He smiled slightly.
“Japan is different from the west. Our government understands that there is no way to eliminate the underground of society, so instead they let us take care of the nasty things and stay out of our business.”, his expression was neutral, but his voice betrayed his pride in the Japanese system.
“Well, whatever.”, I shrugged my shoulders. The concrete details of how the yakuza worked in japan could be left till later, right now I was really to tired to care about it at all.
“Can we go to the hotel now? Also, I would be really grateful if you could give Shojiro and the other two some guns. They won’t be very useful without them.”, being tired after the long flight and the unexpected attack on my life I didn’t care for courtesy and straight out just wanted to rest.
Uncle Yamato seemed to understand that and nodded.
“My subordinates will drive you to your room. I personally cannot give you weapons, since I still have to abide the law, but they have already been prepared and are waiting at the hotel.”, he smiled. “We will see each other on Wednesday.”, with this he nodded as a parting and walked away.
Oh yeah right… I was supposed to visit Shiina’s uncle’s house on Wednesday to meet her sister…
I really couldn’t say that I was too thrilled about the thought…
Thrilled or not, the two police officers brought us to their cars and drove us right to our hotel, a rather up class one at the center of the city. Receiving our keys at the reception we basically crawled to out rooms and immediately fell onto out beds.
The journey was just too stressful and being attacked upon arrival wasn’t helping.
Devoid of energy we just slept for over three hours before waking up again.
Of course, since none of us had the energy to move at all, we had laid down fully clothed and unwashed. Upon waking up the first thing we did was go to shower. Since the apartment I had with Shiina and Mei had only one large bed and one bath, we all went to shower at the same time and I got into the taste of being washed by two girls at the same time.
Despite both girls being fully nude and their usual nymphomania, it stayed relatively tame, with me only slightly groping their breasts and asses while washing them and them just using their breasts instead of a sponge to wash my back.
Oh and yeah, I had some French kissing with both girls, but that wasn’t really lewd…
After the bath I wore a new set of clothes, while Shiina and Mei chose to walk around naked. Well, it wasn’t surprising and since I was occupied with organizing our luggage I didn’t really notice.
We rested for the next two hours and finally decided that it was time to go out into the city and grab something to bite.
No, the girls did not go naked. And no, they didn’t dress lewdly.
Both chose quite ordinary outfits and a jacket (it’s still winter…) and we walked out into the streets. It was already evening and dark, but since we were in the middle of the city the streets were fully illuminated, and the shops were still open.
It took some time to figure out where exactly we wanted to head to, but in the end, we chose to visit Akihabara, the city of Anime and Japanese Pop culture. Of course, we weren’t going to go there by foot and took some time to search for the closest station. Taking the train, it would only take us about half an hour to get there from where our hotel was located at.
By the way, we did not take our guards not Shojiro with us, it would have ruined the atmosphere and honestly it was almost impossible that something could happen this soon after the first attack, so I was really relaxed about potential threats.
Or at least I was until some violent girl started to attack me on the train!

Everything is mostly fine until one day, in the depths of the woods, they stumble across a two hundred year-old monk and a living, breathing — or, rather, snoring — dragon who need their help. Beyond the Bridge
There are many worlds, many multiverses, and you can move between them via the Federation's Bridge network - magical gateways to other worlds. The world dubbed "C'thon" by its inhabitants - or Gamma-Theta-Nu-649, if you ask the Federation's bureaucracy - was deserted when the Federation found it. The "civilized" races had all died out centuries prior, and the wilderness had grown downright feral in their absence. Now, the lonely Federation outpost of Bridgetown is under constant threat from the hungry wildlife, malicious fey, territorial goblins, and wandering undead that surround it. The town's distance from the Federation's centers of power means that it gets precious few of the resources that it needs to stay safe and afloat. Enter the Guild of Adventurers, a plucky and disparate crew who do the Federation's dirty work in exchange for coin. One team, the first of many, crosses the Bridge to C'thon looking for fame, fortune, and (if they're lucky) the answer to a newly-discovered Prophecy. They'll get much more than they bargained for, although first they need to avoid being eaten by the local wildlife. Updates weekly on Wednesday. Chapters will be as long as they need to be for them to work, which means they can vary. If anything drops below 2500 words, I'll post an extra chapter if I have one ready. [PS: This is not a litRPG, but I do borrow heavily from TTRPGs for inspiration, and the general setting and storyline is from a TTRPG campaign I'm running.] [PPS: This is my first attempt at writing long-form fiction. I'm not trying to make a great piece of literature or have a multi-novel overarching plot, but hopefully it'll still be a fun story - let me know what you think in the comments.] [PPPS: Cover image is from a free-download wallpaper by Tyler Edlin; I do not own it, and will take it down immediately if requested.]
