《Inglorious Bastard》Chapter 10,5: Status Log #2

Whelp, that happened. Kinda awkward, but hey - there's no glory in death so it's alright.
So anyway...
Hello everybody! It's ya boy - Jabberschnietzel! Welcome to another Status Log issue.
I wanted to talk a little about some behind the scenes going-ons with the novel in SL#2, but the continuity got borked with an extra chapter added in down the line, so some events haven't come to pass as of yet; therefore any such talk can be considered spoiler at this point. So yeah, let's leave that for issue #3 that will come right after Ch15.
Onto non-spoiler territory we go, all aboard RFS Funkalicious Trivia!
XI) Necromancy is a peculiar type of magic, as it has lots of prerequisites to acquire and breaks some of the System's rules (such as, it has levels despite being a Synergy skill and requires four skills instead of two to unlock). To even have a chance to gain it, the person has to be born with strong affinity towards dark element. Then he or she has to learn and sufficiently train Dark Magic, Curse Magic, Black necromancy and White necromancy, which will lead to them merging into one skill that embodies them all and allows for new possibilities, such as . Because of the insanely high difficulty of attaining such magic, most people don't even know of its existence which leads to further misconceptions.
XII) Bandit class is gained by voluntary living and travelling with other bandits for a prolonged period of time. Those who spend time with bandits for work purposes (e.g. prison guards) aren't eligible for acquiring Bandit class. In case one or more people without Bandit class repeatedly commit crimes on the roads, mountains or forests, they will receive it simultaneously. Being in possession of this class is considered a crime and shall such a person be found out, guards will immediately try to either arrest or eliminate this person depending on the circumstances. After a certain point, any kind of activities with bandits shall level up the class - be it peaceful merrymaking with them or doggedly hunting them down for whatever reason.

XIII) There is a conundrum when it comes to choosing whether you want to steal a skill with 100% guarantee, or steal a class with a much lesser success percentage and risk wasting one of your two daily charges. On one hand, gaining a class is more beneficial, as it permanently provides minor strengthening to one or more of your stats as you level it up, and you *can* get all the skills of this class without having to waste charges on stealing them separately. Moreover, as an added bonus, all skills of that class and those that have synergetic effect with it also gain a light improvement if you are in possession of the said class. However, some skills unlock only at high levels or at mastery level (lvl.50). This makes it non-advisable to try and get classes that are slow to raise or have very specific conditions for leveling up (e.g.: Pirate class that is completely impossible to improve on any kind of landmass that isn't a small island and requires participating in criminal activities such as piracy, kidnapping, smuggling, etc.).
XIV) Leader of the Pack passive actually doesn't only spread its influence on dogs and wolves - any creature of canine descent shall be affected. In other words, doglike monsters, undead raised from canine creatures of any kind, werewolves and certain demihuman beastkin tribes (example: fox tribe) shall be under the influence. Memetic effects on said creatures consist of the following: imprints the knowledge of the user being a superior Alpha directly onto the target's being - it isn't an aura or illusion, so the effect never wears off and can't be cancelled; makes it easier to dominate said creatures and make them willingly submit; makes the user attractive to the opposite gender of any creatures listed above, ignoring racial or species barriers. Other effects are unknown, as this is a skill exclusive for (non-monster) animals and only one humanoid being acquired it in the entire world's history. Further observation is advised.

XV) Resistances and Immunities may not always be a good thing. For example, a being with Pierce Immunity that contracted a fatal disease wouldn't be able to administer a shot of life-saving medicine upon itself, since the needle wouldn't be able to go through the skin. Someone with Heat Immunity and Pain Immunity (but with no Fire Immunity) might not notice they've stepped into a puddle of magma and have their leg melted because they haven't immediately removed it from the scorching surface. A being with Crush Immunity might get trapped under a rock and die of starvation or dehydration after being forced to stay immobile for many days. Caution is advised.

8 202Man of Earth
Magic is a terrifying force. Logic itself is subject to this energy, which is (logically speaking) impossible for us to comprehend. Every universe requires some version of magic to exist. That is, all but one. Our world functiouns based on a powerful and intricate net of laws that act independently from magical interference. The most notable of these is the human brain, which is capable of even more than its creator had thought possible. Naturally, this prompted the question: "How would a human fare in a world of magic?" Soon, there was a bet. Next, a human was selected. Finally, an odd young man with a strange black hat was introduced to his new world, and all restraints were removed.
