《Magical Cosmic》Chapter 68: The Owner of the Mystery Eyes and Conclusion

“Heh, as expected of Sir. I come here with other reasons in mind, of course. Let’s just not beat around the bush and get to the point, shall we?”
“Very well, go on.”
“Sir must have been familiar with the owner of the ‘Mystery Eyes,’ right? No, with Sir’s knowledge, it would be impudent for me to say it like that.”
Mystery Eyes? What’s that? Wait, this feels familiar… Is he aiming at… Lillie?
“Hmph! What do you want?” I glared at him.
“It’s as Sir might have in mind. The daughter of the former Brightmoon Lord, Lillie arc Brightmoon is suspected to own a pair of Mystery Ey—”
“And what do you want? If what you said next is to ask me to hand her over to you… Don’t expect any more hospitality!” I raised my hand and various robots in different types were coming out from the surrounding wall with weapons in their hands.
“Well, I haven’t said anything like that. Please, allow me to explain.” David was still holding up the same smile, looking confident that even if more than a few dozens of robots within the rooms were to attack him, he would come out unscathed.
"Fine. But regardless, you need to give me a satisfying explanation! Once you cross the line, don't hope that you can leave this place in one piece! There are many more golems than these to hunt you down!"
“Sir could rest assured; I don’t have any intention to take her by force or anything in that regard.”
Still with that smile and way of talking. So, he’s going to try getting her, huh? For what reason? Is it because of… her looks? Are all Magus a lolicon? Wait! I shouldn't get ahead of myself.
“As the rumor said, 'someone that owned a Mystery Eyes has an unrivaled talent when treading the magic path.' From what I gained after conversing with Sir, Sir’s probably a Great Magus at the most. Sir might have a force that can rival that of a High Magus or even above, but… could Sir be the best teacher and mentor for her?”

This… I’m not even an Acolyte so he’s even more right in that regard. But…
“Therefore, you want me to send her to study in the Magic Institute of Ralonia?”
“Yes! With her talent, I can guarantee that she would lead the Institute in the future. She would become a shining star that everyone would dream to reach. Sir would also benefit a lot later on.”
Hmm… Why does it feel like he is some kind of an agency seeking talented children? What the heck! Still, all that he said is true. However! How can I believe his words just like that? If someone coveted her in the past, why wouldn't there be more?
“Still, the decision is in Sir’s hand. The Institute won’t force Sir even if Sir refused. We just hope to help her to achieve her biggest potential.”
Helping your head! They just wanted her talent. But that’s fair enough. Since she will get magic knowledge in return and tread the magic path and thus having a limitless future for her. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for her.
On the other hand, if she remains here for the rest of her life, not only she lost the chance to change her destiny, she will also remain a normal, ordinary human. Am I cruel enough to do that to her? After all, I promised her a lifetime of peace and happiness.
However, I cannot leave her alone, no? For such a little girl that’s not even 11 years old to go alone is insanity. Furthermore, an epitome of purity like her… I can’t imagine what will happen. But who shall go? Well, I'm quite curious about magic, but I'm too old... Ah! There is a way.
“Very well, but I couldn’t let her go alone. I’ll send my successor, Victor Petard Asterisk. I’ll let him join the Magic Institute of Ralonia and also tread the magic path.” Luckily, only Brown and Lillie know my real name.
“No problem. As long as he’s below the age of 18, there should be no problem. But even if he’s older, I can make an exception for Sir and help him to the best of my ability as thanks for the golems.”

“Good, I shall depend on you then.” Though I’m way past 18 by now…
“Okay. Sir, I guess it’s time for my departure. The entrance exam for the Institute this year will happen in four months.”
“Uh-huh. My apologies that I won’t see you off. These promised ten golems shall follow you in my stead.”
David nodded and took the ten Knight Robots into his interspatial ring before going outside. He then flew to the sky, disappearing in just a split second. Really, coming swiftly and leaving quickly as well, what a strange fellow.
So, with this discussion done, I’m officially a king of a nation, eh? Who would have thought that one day something like this would happen? Isn’t it all thanks to the Technology Cube? No, it should be the Golden Stardust.
A king of a small nation is nothing compared to a giant company that owned countless planets in the Milky Way. I'm still nothing to them. I’m just a certain nobody that was lucky enough to find another universe filled with life.
“I think I need to tell Lillie about going to the Institute. ATHENA, tell Lillie to go here.”
[Yes, Master~!]
Now then, time to change back to my original body. I don’t think I like to impersonate someone else like this, maybe I should just use ATHENA later on to take the job.
After returning to my original body in the basement, Lillie arrived at the building with robots protecting her. I had made sure that there would always be strong robots to follow her so that she would be protected anywhere and anytime.
“You called, Victor?” Lillie ran towards me, tilting her head.
“Yes. I’ll be telling you something so take a seat.”
“Tellin’ something? A story? Yay~!” Abruptly Lillie sat on my lap and happily swung her legs, waiting for the story.
“Ah… Fine, whatever.” I shook my head and decided to ignore her action. “Lillie, how much do you know about the Magic Institute of Ralonia?”
"Um… Lillie knows that it was an organization full of Magus. People dream to get in and learn magic there. Lillie's parents once wanted to send Lillie there to tread the path of magic, but they… seemed to be hesitant for some reason, Lillie wondered why?”
Well, it was probably because they were worried about sending her there alone. Kind of make sense with how innocent she acted, they must have pampered her a lot, I guess?
“Maybe they have their own reason. What's your thought about studying there?”
Hearing my question, Lillie jumped down and playfully ran around the room while telling, “Lillie wanted to see the wider world~! Finding more about the mystery of the world and explore the unknown, just like the characters that Lillie read on the holo-books! But what about… Victor…?”
Huh… Finding more about this world and exploring the unknown, just like an explorer. What have I done? Since I'm an explorer, shouldn't I do the same? Wait… About me?
“If it’s what Victor wanted, then Lillie will go there to study… But truthfully, Lillie doesn't wanna be separated from Victor again, especially for a very long time… Li-Lillie just…"
“Rest assured, I’ll be joining you in this entourage.”
“Victor will be joining also?! Yay~!” Lillie smiled widely and cling to me like she had found a new toy.
“I think that’s enough, Lillie. Let’s go outside, it’s about time for dinner.”
"Dinner? Lillie wonders what would be on the menu today." She poked her cheek in wonder and rushed outside.
Outside, the sky was red to orange all around. The sun was starting to be eaten, I even could smell and taste the sweet blowing wind around me.
The past is in the past, the present is now, and this will be the future that I shall cross. The world of magic, here I come! I clenched my right hand hard and brought it into my chest.
“What are you waiting for? Let’s go, Victor.” Lillie took my hand and smiled innocently.
Guess, here is the place that I can call home, huh?
“Yes, let’s go!”
