《Magical Cosmic》Chapter 63: Chasing 'Till the Capital of the Razel Dukedom

Head Court Magician Arnold’s Perspective
"A golem that unleashed a spell stronger than a great rank spell?! Physically way above that of a Great Knight?! Absolutely RIDICULOUS!! Not even the Ralonia’s Magic Institute might have that kind of monster!” Arnold’s chaotic gaseous body formed up somewhere quite far away.
After a moment, Arnold's gaseous body turned into physical. He was dead tired, if it wasn't for burning his spiritual power, he wouldn't be able to move at all. Numerous injuries covered his whole body, his missing arm had stopped bleeding though since he gulped down numerous expensive-looking potions like water.
“The material it was made of… How could it be harder than a typical magic metal? Yet strange that there was no sign of magic. No! I cannot fight it again! At most, I can only get away one or two times like before with {Darkness Displacement}.”
Feeling that he could move again, Arnold began scanning the area with his magic eyes to look for the other court magicians. Luckily, they weren’t too far from him, so he turned back into a dark mist and vanished into the air.
As Arnold came out from the dark mist, he found that the remaining court magicians were still recuperating and couldn’t move much. This… isn't good. Carrying baggage like them might bring me my demise. Should I abandon them here? Or…
“Head Court Magician Arnold! Since you are here, the golem must have been defeated, right?” The vice head eyed him with a certain gaze.
“Uh... Indeed—” At that moment, Arnold sensed that the big golem was approaching his location from the remaining darkness magic eyes he used before.
“Stay at this place! I have something to take care of at the moment." Not bothering to explain further, he transformed again into a dark mist and vanished from the spot.
Shit! For me… A noble and mighty Great Dark-Elementalist to be forced to do this kind of thing… Arnold gritted his teeth, feeling humiliated. It wasn’t that he couldn’t take the other court magicians with him, but he needed them to buy some time for him to escape. He didn’t want to die, nor anyone ever wanted to in the first place.
He went past the plain to the forest as his dark mist body flew swiftly in the air. It didn’t matter whether there were mountains or trees in his path, his non-solid body could pass them with ease.

However, when he was still half-way to his destination, he knew that something was chasing after him at an insane speed. It took less than a few seconds before he saw the golem he fought before stood in front, blocking his path.
***
“Did he think that he could run? And he thinks I allow him to? Heh… Abandoning his own comrades… Guess this reminds me of the past… Anyway, it seems to be human nature, I guess?”
He tried to get away secretly from me while still in dark mist form, only to make him be split in half with my blade.
“Argh!!” A scream came out from the mist and he changed back into his physical form.
“Weird… I have cut him several times with the fusion energy blade… but why does he seem to not receive that much damage?”
[Master~! The cause might be that the fusion blade isn’t hot and large enough or only other kind of supernatural power like magic can damage him.]
“Hmm...? Guess, I’ll increase the heat.” With that, the fusion blade enlarged and heated up, turning into a bright white sword.
“No! You can hear me right, legacy holder?! I’ll not pursue this matter further. Let me go and I’ll talk with the Grand Duke of Razel to let this matter go! I am the honorary dean of the Magic Institute of Ralonia, I can also recommend you an honorary dean position!”
Not bothering to answer his proposal, I slashed him with the overheating fusion blade.
“You!! {Darkness Displacement}!” In desperation, he cast a spell and his body vanished just like before.
“ATHENA, where is he now?”
[Here’s the location. I have recorded enough information about his spell just now and could pinpoint his location.] How dependable..
Just then, I could see that he was teleported ten kilometers away to the east. He must be going to Razel City, huh? Guess, I'll follow him secretly for now.
Over time, I found out that his movement speed started to slow down. Not mistaken, he was exhausted beyond compare. If I didn't hold back the MRS’s speed to the bare minimum, he wouldn’t have survived this far,
Several minutes later, I could see a majestic city in the distance. It seemed to be a magic city, as it was filled with strange mystic-looking tall towers surrounding the inner side of the wall. The city was none other than Razel City, the capital of the Razel Dukedom.

Unexpectedly, Arnold's speed burst out and he darted into the city with a speed incomparable from before. Although it shocked me a bit, it was all futile. Heh…? Did you think I didn’t have a way to kill you?
With a confident smile, I drove the MRS to the maximum speed and just like a blazing fireball, the MRS grew many times the speed of sound. The distance between us was covered in a mere second. I swung the fully powered up fusion blade to him, cutting his gaseous body in half which then turned into flesh and blood.
Unable to even utter a single word, Arnold’s body disintegrated into dust from the intense heat of the blade. The Great Dark-Elementalist that once brought fear to anyone, perished without knowing how he died.
Boom!
The sonic boom caused by the MRS finally caught up and shook the surrounding places. I could even see a glowing transparent shield that emerged from the tall towers and encroached the whole city just like a dome, blocking the force caused by the sonic boom.
“This is a magic shield, huh? It didn’t look that much different from the typical energy shield. I wonder... how this one works.”
Suddenly, a loud, intimidating voice echoed out from the middle of the city, “WHO DARE ATTACK MY CITY?!” Then, a man with a forceful aura appeared on top of the wall.
He had orange hair, orange pupils, and even wore orange-colored stripes armor. A crown was sitting on his head which indicated that he was someone important. A mighty and majestic impression was emitted from him, as he held his exquisite big sword in hand.
“A golem? This big? I am the Grand Duke of the Razel Dukedom, Randal arc Razel! Who might this Sir be?”
Hmm…? He is the Grand Duke of Razel Dukedom? He also realized that I’m inside… No, at least control this thing directly, huh? What an acute sense, he must have a very strong individual power.
[Master~! I detected that qi and mana were simultaneously converging in his body. His power far exceeded that of Head Court Magician Arnold as well as any other we met so far.] ATHENA’s emoticon showed a bit of concern.
"What?! Does he wield qi and mana at the same time? I think I’ve read something about this before, isn't he either a ‘dual practitioner’ or someone that practice the ‘hybrid path’?"
[Indeed, Master~! I also detected several equal energies inside the city. Although not as powerful, it’s equal to Knight Roderic that Master previously killed.]
This is tricky. This place is their home ground, surely there’ll be a lot of traps as well as people with strong power. I can kill one as easy as killing an ant though; yet, killing them wasn’t my objective here.
After some consideration, I let my voice out, “Hmph! You don’t even know the identity of someone you just sent a force to?”
“Sent out a force? You… you’re that legacy holder!”
“That’s right. I am… the Cosmic Lord. To send out such a puny force to my backyard, you sure have guts, heh?”
“Lord…? Sir is at ‘that stage’? Please… accept my apologies…” The Grand Duke’s voice shook, he bowed to me slightly.
Huh? Did the ‘Lord’ title actually have a deeper meaning? I should put this to good use.
"No need to apologize, I've taken this little ant with this golem. If push comes to shove, I might as well resolve the source of the problem by burning your city to ashes. Also, keep in mind that this golem is just one of my disposable pawns!" I showed him the remains of Arnold's monster staff.
“You!!” The Grand Duke flinched; a gloom looks flashed upon his face. “Sir… that Magus you killed had a connection to the Magic Institute of Ralonia… Even if Sir has incredible power, I'm scared that it'll bring doom to Sir."
“Are you trying to threaten me? Seeking death!” Anyhow, if I didn’t kill him, it might bring additional trouble in the future.
“My apologies, but I’m not seeking death. A real expert would have attacked by now. If what Sir said is true, then why not attack? I'm not saying that Sir is no expert but there must be something that holds you back, no?" The Grand Duke smiled, certain that his assumption was correct.
This… He's right on the point. To destroy the city's shield, I would need to use all the MRS's remaining energy. Although it was equipped with the latest fusion battery, it wouldn't last long if there's no source to recharge. Furthermore, destroying the shield might kill thousands of innocent people. There're also several other reasons.

Katra
Kardin lived a happy and good life. That is, till he was given a strange orb by an even stranger man, maybe even a demon. He watches as his village is burned, the villagers slaughtered and his friend devoured. He escapes into the Jungle of The Gods, a place of ancient ruins and deadly animals. There, he is changed and his fate diverges from what should have been his death. Now he must forge his own path in a world of great beauty and power, where death lurks around the corner and battles between veritable gods are fought. Where nations clash and ancient beings destory civilizations on whims. But unseen cogs move under the surface, events transpiring beyond simple understanding. Strange and powerful items called Artifacts have started to reappear across the land of Auren, empowering their wielders far beyond what cultivation can give. The Traezar Empire and all of Auren are on the precipice of war and strange beings have started to emerge, all with an agenda of their own. Chaos is brewing, and Kardin must survive it, all while trying to attain vengeance and understand his strange and anomalous Katra. ***Current Schedule*** I am currently releasing 1 3,000(Sometimes I end up writing waaaay more) word chapter halfs every week. If there is not some sort of notice as to why I have vanished, then I'm probably dead. Let's hope I don't die then, eh? *Ducks under flying knife* I own this cover, put my own blood, sweat and an hour of my time into it. Ahahaha! This story is inspired (I stress this word, as because most of the story is different) by Will Wight’s Cradle. I highly recommend you read it! (Please for gods sake, if you have something to say, please do it in a curteous fashion. I don’t need any more maniacs flying at me and trying to stab me with sporks, I am already insane enough to fill that role.*Winks*) **What is This Story?** Think cultivation mashed with western fantasy, put into a pot to boil and then drunk while it's pipping hot. All the while a mad man(me) cackles insanely over the pot, stirring. It draws from xianxia lightly, which means no exasperated angry young masters. No “genuis” or “prodigy” MC, one that is not OP, or anything of the like. If you don’t like cultivation novels, this might still be up your alley. MC focuses on “Life Shaping”, see poll 2 for more Info. Warning! If your are squeamish, that gore and traumatizing content tag is there for a reason. I shall dive into both bloody and disturbing scenes and the questionable ethics of manipulating life, and some of it won’t be pretty. With a dose of realism added in. I do add my own evi- I mean despic- no, sorry, interesting twists aswell. >:) Also, I HATE info dumps! *Steps out of the way of a charging semi* Still not dead! Arc 1 (Kindling): Chapter 1 - 13 Arc 2 (Metempsychosis): Chapter 14 - 29 Arc 3 (???): Chapter 30 - ??? A disclaimer, I am new author and am still feeling out my limitations. This story is my hope of bettering my writing skills and to have fun. Buckle up and enjoy the insane journey that is Katra. (Pronounced as cah-tra)

8 147The Fight We Chose
"No one starts a war—or rather, no one in his senses ought to do so—without first being clear in his mind what he intends to achieve by that war and how he intends to conduct it."- Harold G. Moore November 22nd, 1963: The eyes of the world turn to the American city of Dallas, Texas, where normality has been forever shattered. An attack the likes of which the world has never seen before has turned the Cold War on its head as the new factor in the silent conflict threatens the balance. The world already teetering on the brink of war, the United States and those that lead it now have to balance a new threat, fantastical in origin, alongside the many others that come with the turbulent era of the 1960s. Eras collide. Values clash. The nature of war remains unchanged.
8 119HEIMDALLR
After his first life, Heimdallr felt he had lived a decent way; he wrote stories and lived a simple life, avoiding publicity and focused on promoting growth to the few who cherished his works. But after being reborn as Heimdallr Dagrsson, one of the many sons of Daesal's greatest warrior Dagr, he was put into a world devoid of wide-spread access to reading and writing. Instead, he was dropped into a world where fighting and death commonly reared their heads. Now, faced between his unsupported passion and his new life's innate talent and upbringing, he will have to find his new path. He will forge a new story that would make even himself dubious of whether or not it's fact or fable. HEIMDALLR is a story taking place in the setting created for another previous work of mine called KOBOLD. It follows a reincarnated person trying to wrestle between their old life and new life's wants and needs, all the while adapting to the situations that arise out of his control. Heimdallr starts out trying to survive and live a new life, all the while facing challenges and growth both fantastical and painfully real. Loosely inspired by Norse mythology and histories (names and some themes), spun into a fantasy, grit-rooted world. Skål! All content warning tags are applied so as to allow freedom of writing but there is no intent of excess or even regular use of these themes. Regardless of this, any and all uses will have dedicated warnings presented in the chapter whenever they are present! Reader beware!
