《Magical Cosmic》Chapter 47: Preparation to Go Back

A week had passed since the occupation of Brightmoon City. These days, I was busy managing the new influx of refugees from the Brightmoon territory. There was a total of 5,000 or so homeless people that moved to the new settlement on the outskirts of the base. If it wasn't for the fact that I did have a technology to make various kinds of foods from simple protein, feeding them would be almost impossible. However, I couldn't keep using the artificially made food; thus, I had them began planting crops on the specially designated field.
Naturally, I did command the robots to help them and teach them how to use advanced tools. At first, they were in a state of complete disbelief, but over time, they started to grow used to seeing robots everywhere and using sophisticated tools.
As for the troops of the Brightmoon territory that went into the campaign, I sent most of them back to their homes. A third of them though, which consisted of trained soldiers were re-enlisted to the army to guard the Brightmoon Viscounty. Obviously, I ordered Gareth to grow their loyalty to me first and planted self-replication nanobots. I didn’t want them to betray me whatsoever.
When I was looking at 1,000 or so robots that were constructing and maintaining the new settlement, I couldn't help but smile in satisfaction. Hah… If it wasn’t for the Technology Cube that brought me calamity and fortune, I wouldn’t be here, would I?
At that moment, a 2-meter-tall, well-equipped robot, with a steel warrior appearance came across my field of view. There were 50 or so of those robots — Warrior Robot — patrolling the area, their power equaling a 3rd to 4th rank Warrior. They should be quite enough to fight stronger enemies, right?
[Master~! The robot extermination team had finished exterminating the invisible beetle’s nest. Their carcasses had also been preserved undamaged.] ATHENA suddenly reported. Well, they’re using a sonic rifle after all. High frequency is their natural enemy.
“Good, that’s quick! It’s only been a few days. Ah… be sure to keep some of them and their eggs alive so we could make a farm for them.”
[As you command, Master!]
With that handled, I turned my head and curiously stared at the tall steel building in the middle of the base. Previously, the spaceship had been used as the main building of the base, but as I would be needing it for later, I had the robots built the new building. I did make a back-up for ATA there so it could manage the base without the spaceship and me being here. Now then, it’s time to tell Lillie and Brown about my departure.

Without further ado, I approached the 50-60 meters black-purplish colored steel building. It had a shape of a long block with a reflective surface where I could even see the reflection of the sky. Hmm… I could make it bigger, but because of limited materials, time, and space within the base’s wall, I should be satisfied for now. Nevertheless, this building only fit after moving the Halls out.
Shortly, I stopped in front of the building’s automatic door. While looking at the digital signboard with “Headquarter” written on it, I took a deep inhale and entered inside. The inside was pretty much resembling that of a five-star hotel with a wide lobby. It had dozens of different kinds of rooms and even underground floors.
If it wasn’t for hundreds of robots using Multi-Tool to construct the building, it would have taken months to make the base. This building construction, including the robots made over the week, had exhausted the ore deposits in the nearby hills. Fortunately, other big deposits had been found close to Brightmoon City.
Then, I went straight to the electromagnetic elevator and got to the tenth floor. The moment the door was opened, I saw that Lillie was sitting on the sofa, awaiting my arrival. There was also Brown standing while preparing to serve tea.
They were no longer so freaked out by the instant construction of the Headquarter. Yet, a few days ago, they couldn’t believe what their eyes presented to them and it took them about a few days to accept the fact. In case I wasn’t personating as a Magus, I didn’t think anyone would believe this either.
“Everyone has gathered, huh?”
“Indeed, milord. This Magic Tool named smart… watch that milord had given me three days ago had informed milord’s message.” Brown showed his smartwatch to me. Well, it’s not like I cannot tell them with the nanobots but it may freak them out more.
“So, whatcha gonna tell us, Victor?” said Lillie with a lazy word. Wait, did she learn to speak like that from the novel she read?
“Little miss, I don’t think it’s appropriate to speak like that.” Brown grew out a worried face.
“Fufufu…” chuckled Lillie mischievously.
“Ahem. Anyway, let’s just sit as I’ll be going to tell something important.” I went to the sofa, took a seat, and slurped the served tea. “As you may have known, I was someone that came from a very far place. For some important reason, I need to go back and—”

“Does Victor will leave Lillie forever?” Lillie’s eyes began to glaze.
“N-no… it’ll only take a few weeks.” I rubbed her head and added, “Cheer up, I wouldn’t be away for long.”
“Uh-huh,” She responded with a nod. “If it’s something important that Victor needs to do, even if it took years, Lillie will wait for Victor.”
“Good girl.” I smiled satisfied before looking at Brown and instructed, “Brown, I want you to handle the management of the Brightmoon territory in my stead. If the Razel Dukedom launched an attack, do as we had planned.”
“Yes, milord!” Brown bowed slightly.
“Okay, I’ll be going in three days. For now, let’s have some snacks.”
Thus, another three days passed in the blink of an eye. I spent the last few days practicing the knight breathing technique and spent sometimes with Lillie. For some unknown reason, she was more clingy than usual. As for the knight breathing technique, I did since long combined the Razel Dukedom technique with Bright Moonlight technique; thus, creating a more perfect and stronger technique. I had also reached the pinnacle of the 1st rank Warrior, ready to advance anytime soon.
The spaceship had also been fully repaired and able to function normally. Not only that, As ATA had finished researching the usage of how to utilize the carcass of the invisible beetles, it was now layered with them and able to go fully invisible from radar.
I wasn't scared to leave the base — without any supervision, ATA's back-up would supervise the place in my absence and would run it like usual. Of course, even if the Razel Dukedom were to attack with full force. I believed that the base would be able to hold on for weeks to come before I went back.
After having all the things prepared, I decided to board the ship as it was the right time. Lillie and Brown were the only people that would see me off. I didn’t want to alert anyone else that I would be gone nor would I wanted to show them the spaceship.
When I was about to step on the board ram, Lillie suddenly hugged me from behind and said, “Victor, would you promise Lillie that you’ll be back?”
I turned around and assured, “Yes, I promise.”
"Promise Lillie with a pinky finger then." Lillie raised her pinky finger to me with a resolute look. Looking at the childish way to promise, I could only follow suit.
“There, are you happy now?”
“Yes~!” Thus, she released her grip and took a step back. “Don’t forget to buy Lillie souvenirs!”
“Okay.”
As I entered the spaceship, an ego of exploration burst out inside of me. It had been almost a month since the last time I explored space. Soon, I got into the control room and sat on the captain’s chair.
“ATA, activate the thrusters!”
[As you command, host.] The projection of ATA replied at the side with a cold emotionless voice.
As that was said, I could feel that the ship began to levitate before starting to move its direction upward. The main thruster was then activated and the spaceship moved swiftly to space. After a short time, I could finally see the black space littered with stars.
Hah… Feels good to be able to reach space again. The space littered with stars is a sight to see… Wait, why did it seem that the stars in this Universe were a bit different? Anyway, I just need to locate the wormhole for now.
“ATA, Locate the wormhole!”
[Yes. Locating the wormhole…. The advanced gravity sensor had picked up an anomaly at this coordinate…]
Shortly, I could see the same wormhole that had transported me to this universe. Numerous Golden Stardust was still floating aimlessly around it. Not bothering with that, I moved the spaceship to the wormhole.
"Guess, it's finally the time to go back." I clenched my fist and declared, "Revenge! I'll seek my revenge… Activate the absolute invisible mode and direct the ship into the wormhole!"
[As you command.]
And thus, my spaceship grew invisible and went into the wormhole. The same drowsy feeling of distorting space and time came into me again. However, I toughed it out with a determination of revenge.

A man finds himself lost and far away from his home and this is his story. I know the description isn't much to go on but I'm going to leave it like that in hopes that people end up curious enough to give the story a read. Fair warning, this is my first time writing a novel and honestly would love some constructive criticism. leave a comment below the chapters if you find anything that should be corrected or if you have any questions. PS: I'm really into RPGs and the story is going to reflect that obsession.

A Generic Dungeon Core Story
When one falls… what happens? Do they just disappear into an endless abyss? Do they got to a final resting place to lay forever? Do they get to look down proudly upon the world from the clouds or look up in regret as they are burned and tortured? One man… person found out the hard way as he fell into a dark abyss after having surely died only to found himself awake again with most of his memories and knowledge blocked of as he was reincarnated into a 10ft cube as a small glowing sky blue orb…. This is my first actual foray to the world of webnovels as I’ve never wrote any stories before… *cough cough * edgy horny filled teenage fanfics do not count whatsoever *cough cough*. I am very new to the world of novels and I am not a native English speaker so expect a lot of grammar mistakes. The story will update on weekends on Saturday or whenever I feel like uploading as I do not have much free time and this is only a novel I write to improve my writing skills. What can you expect from the story? - Dungeons? Of course, this is the main theme of the story. - Multiple leads? Yes, there will be multiple perspectives from many different characters with at least 4 main characters. - Gamelit? The world is ruled by a system… that does absolutely nothing other than a way to view your stats and progression. - Murder hole? No, the lead character has a challenging yet fair view on how dungeons should operate, don’t get me wrong as he will still kill people if they are evil, careless or overestimate their abilities but don’t expect too much death as I feel that most adventurers would be smart enough to know their abilities especially when they have to do it themselves instead on relying on skills or the system. - Cultivation? No, the ability to gain power from sitting still and breathing never made any sense to me and it will be completely broken if the MC gets their hands on it so… no. - Non-human MC? Yes, they are a dungeon after all and yes, dungeons do get avatars but it is a specialized procedure that many choose not to do. Also, if the dungeon gets an avatar, no he will not be some wish giving demigod or whatever. - Magic? Yes, but it is very limited and down to the ground... from my notes... which means nothing - Art? Yes, I’m a hobbyist-artists so expect some art sketches here and there… I am poor so I do not have line art pens or tablets or adobe photoshop… also no scanners so… pictures of pencil-sketches it is, no coloring though since I am terrible at coloring. - Comedy? Yes, if you can call my bad attempts at humor comedy. - Likeable characters? Hopefully… especially since I accidentally made like... 60 characters … how I made 6 originals into 60?… I have no idea whatsoever… - Adventurers/invaders/delvers/etc…? Yes! My favorite part about dungeon core novels are when delvers delve into the dungeon and reading how they react, I will definitely flesh out the delvers and show how they operate more than usual hopefully. Hopefully you like the story, I will not have a patreon or paypal or whatever mostly because I’m under 18, thanks for at least reading this far and I hope that my writing is at least passable and you enjoy the story… if not then at least I got some writing practice in English.
