《Magical Cosmic》Chapter 13: Repairing the Generator and Devices R

Following the hologram map charted by ATHENA, I went back into the small crater of the spaceship. This time though, I decided to avoid the twin cliff and the big banyan tree, doing a roundabout trip on the outskirts of the map while circumventing the uncharted place.
A while later, the crater was finally within my eyesight. As my eyes indirectly looked to the sun’s position, it made me realize that I was on the east side of the crater.
Considering that the sun rises from the east and falls on the west, the place where I begin surveying was in the northwest. It seems that the gap cliff was at the north and the plains around the northeast.
Despite leaving my spaceship here alone, I’m not afraid that something would harm the ship, as I already had it locked down, and besides, I'm not surveying for long anyway.
Now that the food and water source had been secured, it’s time to repair the ship. Guess, I’ll repair the less damage nuclear fusion first as it’s crucial for my next step.
Then, I entered the ship before storing the food and water in my dimensional storage at the storage room. While also didn't forget to take some materials and metal with me.
Of course, I didn't forget to take some ointment for fractured bones in the medical room and applying it on my right shoulder. Besides, there had been nanobots inside my body that had started mending the fracture, so with the addition of the ointment, it should be healed in just a few hours.
Afterward, I went into the generator room at the backside of the ship. Even though I didn't have an expert knowledge in this field, ATHENA could at least pinpointed the surface damage that could be repaired easily.
"Sigh… This kind of job could be done easily by an army of robots. If I had such a thing, wouldn’t that be wonderful?" Unconsciously, I let myself fell into wishful thinking that won't be happening.
As long as the wormhole was guarded on the other side, I couldn't really come back even if I manage to repair the ship. They’ll blast me into smithereens if I was to ever try.

Maybe, I’ll live the rest of my life here? It may be quite dangerous but there’s at least a basic sufficiency to live.
Stupid!! How could I just give up that easily? There must be a way to make this work! I must at least try, if I only accept the fate that the world brings upon me, how could I move forward? My hand clenched as a determination formed.
After casting that thought aside, I took out the Multi-Tool and the materials needed from my dimensional storage before starting to repair the generator.
“ATHENA, show me the damages on the generator!” Ordered me after finished preparing.
[“As you wish, Master~!”] Replied ATHENA cheerfully in a weird way.
Surprisingly, the Multi-Tool was more effective than I had thought. With the help of ATHENA that told me where to repair and the Multi-Tool that worked fantastically, it felt like playing with a child’s toy.
Hours then passed with me finishing the repair of the generator. I could feel that my stomach was complaining about food and that my body was exhausted.
“Damn, I’m hungry!”
I’m not an expert in this field; therefore, it took longer than it should be. And besides, my right shoulder was still healing which just drag my movement.
From my dimensional storage, a wrap bread came out as my hand touched it. The bread had a transparent wrap resembling a plastic that was commonly used centuries ago. But this one was made naturally with a biological substance rather than from petroleum.
I recalled that it was called bioplastic, a plastic that saves the world in the past. It could degrade in a matter of hours if buried on the soils. Heck, it could even be eaten if the situation calls for it, as the plastic could be melted by Human’s saliva and was safe to eat.
Although I won’t be eating it anytime soon because I couldn’t bear the bland taste like eating a piece of wet paper.
Subsequently, as my watery mouth couldn’t be held any longer, I sat at the sidewall and took a big bite on the bread before a sweet taste of chocolate filled my mouth. It was a chocolate bread, a snack that I bought at the Blue Moon Station. After finishing the bread in a few bites, I stood up and flexed my body.

“ATHENA, turn on the generator!”
[“Yes,”]
Just then, the nuclear fusion generator that had just been repaired was turned back on. The light then chased off the darkness that had been pervading the ship. I could feel that the artificial gravity of the ship was working, thereby decreasing my weight that has been twice the normal to how I was used to.
Feels good to be back. I had my body moved freely and felt that my shoulder was fully healed.
Suddenly, a cold and frosty voice of a female sounded out from the surrounding, [“System on… Checking any anomaly in the system…. The ship's ready to be at a minimum to medium operational…"]
Hearing that the ship’s A.I. ATA could function normally, a smile formed on my mouth as I exclaimed, “Good to see you again, ATA! Now deploy the drones to survey the surrounding area as well as continued the map that ATHENA had made!”
[“As you commanded!”]
This time I won’t continue to explore with myself, as there were too many dangerous places in this world. I didn’t want to risk myself any further before the drones confirm that this place was safe enough.
Afterward, I went back into the storage room after giving a command to ATA. Now that the hallway was functioning normally, going to the storage room was faster. As I went in, my gaze landed on the two bigger boxes in the middle of the room. This was the last two purchased items from the Spring and Autumn Store.
The 2 meters boxes at the left were what I approached first between the two. As my hands opened it, a big strange device filled my vision. It was shaped like a big archaic photocopy machine commonly used a millennium ago with a part that resembled a 3D printer at the side.
This was named Matter Fuser & Splitter or MFS for short. It could fuse and split the atom, to make basically almost anything. It might sound like an awesome and a heaven-defying device, but this device could only produce a meager amount in a very long duration.
Compared to a super red giant star at the end of its life, this thing was smaller than a speck of dust in size. Also, not only it can make a heavier and lighter atom, it could also merge two atoms into a molecule and vice versa.
Thereafter, I activated the device after plugging it into the power cable at the side of the room. Despite it produced energy on its own, the tremendous pressure needed for this device was so huge, so it alone cannot power this thing up.
As for the raw material used, I decided to use Oxygen because it was abundant and already quite high at the periodic table. It was also easy to be transported to the inside of the MFS. A sound of whirring entered my eardrums as it started to fuse the atom. Five minutes later, I noticed a toenail size iron was produced by the 3D printer at the side.
“This… if it only produces this much for that long, how much time would be needed to produce a kilo of it? Iron wasn’t even that high on the periodic table.” I shook my head before casting my gaze to the other box at the side.
It was a little bit smaller than the first box, around one and a half meters tall. I opened the box and from inside, a pedestal shape device was revealed.
Unlike the other devices that I’m already quite familiar with, this was the most foreign device that I bought. It’s a Super Charger, a device that was able to charge an object that needs an insane amount of energy which a nuclear fusion simply couldn't provide.
The reason I bought this is to charge the Technology Cube. I wonder what’s inside an item that had caused a calamity to my life.
Just when I was a little bit confused by how this device could work, ATA suddenly broke my ponder with her frosty voice, [“Signs of humans have been found in the vicinity… From the trace, it seems to be impending the direction of the spaceship…”]
"Wait, what?" I was speechless by that statement.

Majority Rule
Readers choose from a selection of options for participants of a survival game show known as "Can Anyone Beat Level 10?". Each level has some monsters to kill and a boss at the end. Treasure chests and traps are available. Treasure chests, if opened successfully, give decent weapons, first aid kits, etc. If unsuccessful, treasure chests will either explode, taking some health from player or do become permanently closed. Monsters in dungeon levels depend on the theme of the week. This game show occurs on the first week of every month. The game just showed up out of nowhere and many people were interested in it as they attended the live version of the show. As for its mysteries...well, who knows? Maybe someone will solve them some day. But, for now, let the games begin! This is a story that depends on the votes of the viewers using the poll system. I will probably wait a week or so per poll in order to accumulate enough votes. After the week is up, viewers can still vote but it won't affect the story. This is my first interactive fiction so it might not be on par with the better ones. Nevertheless, I hope you enjoyed reading this story. Thanks.
