《Lord of Goblins》Book 2) Chapter 0 - Prologue

How long has it been since I entered this world? It must have been half a year by now, I’m sure.
A few months ago, we set off on this expedition to the depths of the cavern in search of the precious minerals and treasures our Jiira masters so greedily longed for.
As we ventured deeper and deeper, though, we invited the wrath of those who dwelled in its depths: hivelings. When I first encountered them, they reminded me of ants; as hulking, impenetrable, and vicious they are, however, they must see us as ants—small, fragile, and at best, pests to be eradicated. No, they would probably treat even ants better than us goblinoids, who pillage their homes and eviscerate their kin.
Just when I’d thought I’d seen it all, I touched that mask. In the blinding white light, I felt something grab hold of my soul and drag it out of my body—out of Gherm’s body. And it was there that I encountered that dreadful, robed figure.
As though my distress were audible in this oppressive silence, it said my name.
“Leonard Erand Vandersteen.”
My true name.
The being had an otherworldly feel to it, as if it were from another world, another plane of existence. It smiled at me, white light spilling forth from its mask. And as it towered above me, I felt it scrutinizing my very being.
The sheer power the creature held was fascinating, something I’d never experienced in all my years of life. Despite its alien nature, however, the creature felt almost familiar, as if I’d encountered it before.
Then it dawned on me. Images of countless relics flashed through my mind and I was reminded of the gate before which I had stood mere moments ago.
“Leonard Erand Vandersteen, I’ve been waiting for you.”

Shamrock Samurai
How many shotgun blasts does it take to kill a Banshee? Sean’s a martial arts enthusiast who just discovered his Luck magic. Will his new powers be enough to combat the slew of celtic monsters that cropped up to terrorize his city? He’ll unload a whole barrel of Luck on these paranormal pests, cruising in his ‘69 Fastback, slaying shades after dark. You’ll ride shotgun with Sean as he battles Banshees, clashes with Leprechauns, strives against Vampires, and defends his own against Celtic Demigods. There’s plenty of magic sword fights, shots fired, car chases, fisticuffs, and portal hopping while adventuring between the Bay Area and the mythical realm of Irish legend, Tir na nOg! ------------------------------------------------ I'm happy to offer this COMPLETE SAGA (6 arcs) here PERMAFREE (never in Kindle Unlimited). Imagine the intense action of JOHN WICK + the swords-n-guns slaying of DEVIL MAY CRY, and that had a baby with CELTIC MYTHOLOGY and some PORTAL HOPPING, add a pinch of INUYASHA's horrific monsters, a smattering of YUYU HAKUSHO angst, and that's Shamrock Samurai.*Contains portal hopping as a major element in each arc, but this story IS NOT Isekai (nothing against it personally. Want to make sure you know what you're getting into). Enjoy, and good luck ☘️! ------------------------------------------------ Readers say... “This series is kind of wild.”_David Simpson, author of the Zombie Road series. “Loved the plot twists and the action.” “I found the concept of magic/luck to be original and refreshing... PLENTY of action.” “Cool blend of geek culture and Gaelic mythology in a modern paranormal setting.” “Hang on till the end. There’s a wild twist I didn’t see coming.”

Until You Do It Right
The world ended on December thirty-first of the year two thousand and twenty, precisely at the stroke of midnight. The human race began to be systematically exterminated by the spawn of the System. We were given a chance to defeat them, to take back our place at the top of the food chain. We failed. The first to perish were those who bravely rebelled. The soldiers. The defenders. One by one, they fell. In their final moments, they begged for aid. Nobody replied. The next to succumb were those who feebly cowered. The deniers. The leeches. Together, they fell. In their final moments, they cried out into the darkness. Countless voices replied in kind. The last to decline were those who shamelessly ran. The deserters. The cowardly. Alone, they fell. In their final moments, they whimpered quietly. There was nobody left to answer. The final human to die was a survivor. A runner. As he died, he begged for salvation. His prayers were answered. He was offered a chance to save himself, along with all of humanity, and he took it. This is his story. “I sat in the dark and thought: There’s no big apocalypse. Just an endless procession of little ones.”― Neil Gaiman, Signal to Noise. I am absolutely new to writing and will take any and all constructive criticism. Please give feedback, it is greatly appreciated. I will update the tags as they change, and I hope that you enjoy this little story I'm writing! Quick warning: Seamus is intentionally a flawed character, and this story is going to explore those flaws and perhaps even change a few of them. I do not agree with all of his actions, but it is what it is.
