《Twisted Nerves》Level 22: Meeting up

Stepping out of the capsule, Lia hears her mother discussing with some people. While Yvonne slowly regains her senses, she recognizes the voices of the other people. After she put some more clothes one, Lia walks into the living room to see Elisabeth talking about the guild Oblitus Mori and how Æsir should deal with them. One of the people in the video-chat noticed Yvonne and greeted her, prompting the others to do the same as Elisabeth stood up to hug her.
"I'm sorry we couldn't stop them, dear."
Lia hugged her back. Her gaze wasn't focused on anywhere in particular, like always, but somehow her grip seemed slightly stronger.
"It doesn't matter mom, I killed them all."
At that, the room fell silent. Elisabeth stopped hugging her and stared Lia in the eyes. She knew Lia wouldn't lie, at least to her, but it was still something hard to believe. Seeing her mother's bout of skepticism Lia just shrugged and added
"You can just check my gameplay."
Elisabeth nodded before going back to her computer and accessing Lia's gameplay recording via Hyria's official site and using Lia's username and password. After Yvonne pointed out when the battle began, Elisabeth shared her screen to the guild members in the video-chat.
Lia went to eat something while Æsir's highest ranking members sat in front of their screens for more than two-hours. After the video, they all took some time to clear their minds, think of what could happen in the future and how this event is going to affect the guild.
Yvonne didn't care, but she was not sure the same applied to her mother, so she decided to call out to her while all the others were busy.
"Mom, we need to talk."
Elisabeth turned off the microphone and webcam before staring at her daughter, wondering what else there was, but she clearly didn't expect Lia's next words.

"I felt excited."
Even if Elisabeth was frozen from the shock, that didn't stop her tears from coming out. After a bit, Elisabeth lunged at Yvonne, intently hugging her as a few sobs escaped her mouth. Lia found her mother's grip a bit much, but decided to just ignore it.
Abigail was the first one to find the video of Lia massacring around 500 users, and the first thing the thought of was
'Nnnnnng~ I hope I can make her smile like that one day~ ..Maybe without getting mauled though.'
Miranda was a bit put off by the strong realism, while Nathan thought it was impressive. Lia appeared to be thinking about the kind of troubles such publicity would bring, but she didn't really care that much.
After showing the three the video, Abigail came up with a proposal
"Hey guys, isn't about time we meet up? I mean: since we, no, well, Lia is going to attract some attention, I thought about going around the western part of the continent, explore stuff and clear some dungeon, and seeing that you two still are there~ .. ehm, what do you think?"
Miranda was the first to reply
"I think you are just scared of those Obli guys."
"Indeed" chided Nathan, while Lia sneakily nodded from beside Abigail.
"Wha–?! There is no way I'm scared of some guys who gang up on a poor and lovely girl!"
Abigail was so enraged she almost stood up from her chair.
"Aahahahhahahha!"
Nathan began to laugh out load and while Miranda chuckled. Abigail's face was beet red and barely noticed the Lia had started petting her head, at which point Miranda couldn't contain her laughter anymore.
A few minutes later, when they all calmed down (not counting Lia, as she never lost her calm) and Abigail had finished pouting, Nathan spoke up

"Anyway, it's a good idea, do you already know where we could meet up?"
Abigail nodded and replied
"Yeah, we'll meet up near.. "
End of Volume 1.
And there we go, last chapter of this volume~
When I think about how I should write volume 2, I start getting headaches lol

Again from Scratch Saga: Izmittor Unchained
If someone precious to you needed your help, would you extend it? Would you still do it if it costs you your peace and perhaps even your life? For Tercius, a man mysteriously reborn nearly thirteen years ago, there was only one answer to both questions. Feeling compelled, he sets out to journey to the northern Sogea and its infamous Western Izmittor mountain range, a natural stronghold of sky tearing mountains and deep canyons. Legends about the place abounded, but he knew without a doubt that the hidden valleys, rushing rivers, thick forests, and desolate landscapes hid powerful predators, the likes of which stalk the harsh terrains for an easy source of meat and bones. The many natural dangers of Western Izmittor would be hard enough to navigate safely for a lone traveler, but to make matters worse Tercius had enemies in the heights of Western Izmittor, humans and spirits who would see him dead if they ever learned of his true connection to the Pyramid of Tergaron and the Society of the Magi. To make things even more difficult, he also had to ensure that the true extent of his own Innate Skills remained hidden, for if the prying eyes of the world fell on him and his many secrets came to light, then he would never again know a day of peace. Can one reborn man manage to keep his secrets and still succeed in doing what his conscience compels him to? Will he have to choose one over the other? And can he do any of it without reigniting the sparks of a planetary war the likes of which had not been seen in millennia? Follow Tercius’ story and find out! *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** This story is a continuation of Again from Scratch, a story of mine also posted on RR.
