Since the abilities of people could not imitate the board game, the positions of different jobs became the difference in abilities.

Footmen. These were the most common Unit and they had average movement range.

Cavalry. These Units had the most movement range but still had to attack in close proximity.

Archers. They could attack anyone within a certain range but had less than average movement.

Mages. These units could attack a larger area but had the second lowest movement of the Units.

Healer. There was only one, and it needed to land on where the Unit fell to revive it. It had no way of attacking and had average movement as well, making it a very weak Unit.

Leader. The one piece that essentially meant the loss and success of the match. If this Unit fell, then the owner would lose. Little to no mobility whatsoever.

Usually.

In the ‘real' version, there were chances of the Leader sacrificing themselves to let the rest of the team live. It was different in this game.

It allowed for someone to practice command techniques and involved a good understanding of the movements of the Units. Once the rules were configured, the merchant left a down payment. If the ‘game' made it big, then the Emperor was sure to send some more to show his appreciation.

The merchant purchased a lot of the magical equipment, which included not only the weapons and medicine but also new armor along with magic stones and dust directly.

The Goblins and Kobolds loved this game since they could end up somehow beating their tougher comrades. This led to the lower leveled monsters increasing their teamwork and intelligence.

In fact, it raised all of their teamwork and intelligence. Lord Beltos even saw some special evolutions amongst the monsters. If things kept going, then the Ogres and Dragonoids might even evolve as well!

But usually, there was no chance. This was supposed to be their final point. When have humans evolved in the past? That was what the Demons and monsters believed other races were like, just like them.

The Ogres were tall at two and a half meters tall while the Dragonoids had large wings and scales with whip-like tails and sharp teeth. They could intelligently communicate, just like before, but it was like they had become Lesser Demons. This was what humans referred to them as, but they were wrong.

Demons were monsters and monsters were monsters.

Sound confusing? An Imp is a Lesser Demon. It is on the same level as a Goblin. Technically, an Ogre is at the same level as Demons similar to Lord Beltos.

However, Lord Beltos holds an indisputable position as a Demon, one of the great races of monsters. It was an honor to work for a powerful and charismatic Demon, so these monsters were happy to experience evolution like this.

They could better help their leader show off his greatness.

But the humans were in awe at the powerful monsters. The six teams became something like separate groups that entertained the people whenever they were bored.

Then something came to Lord Beltos.

Gambling! Of course! Bet on who wins! Gimme your money!

But he needed an audience that actually had money!

He needed that merchant to return!

So he could get to work!
