Chapter 33 - Escaping To Survive
Huff*
Huff*
"Faster!" Ivanic says as they keep on running.
The once clean forest was now littered with bodies as a metallic scent forced its way into the nose of the four, causing their throats to feel a sharp pain which made their eyes water. Screams echoed throughout each exposure of the forest, such a brutal scene was unimaginable. Pigs eating other humans and feasting on them like food. This was unimaginable, and Niko, who believed he was used to such scenes, was currently retracting his words.
Niko was almost feeling dizzy, he felt like nausea and dizziness were about to strike him, as he was currently in the state of being nauseous and not.
"Ahead of us!" Zheng said mid-running.
A boar which feasted on a woman who laid on the ground turned its head and charged towards them. The face of the boar was crimson red, from the blood of those it had feasted on, making it look even more menacing.
[Powerful Beast Roar]!
Candreva roared, paralyzing the boar for a slight second. The second it was paralyzed for was good enough, as it stopped charging and fell headfirst to the ground, allowing the group of four to jump over it and continue n running. They didn't have the time to fight anything, one-stop could allow other beasts to catch up and they would easily be overwhelmed.
As they went around trees and over bushes they continued to run. They took certain detours with Ivanic's guidance and avoided many unnecessary fights.
As Niko ran past many bodies on the green earthly ground, his mind played with the idea of taking the spirits of other humans, however, as Niko shook his head he couldn't possibly do it. Yes, he was in a world where the laws of Earth did not matter, and yes, he had to conform to actions which he never thought he would do, such as killing, however, he couldn't allow himself to do such a thing as taking their spirits. He would like to at least respect the dead humans, and keep some of what made him human in the first place, even if it wasn't much. Besides, taking the spirits of other humans when humans were around, would probably be one of the most self-destructive ideas ever. Getting another human to trust you after that would be quite difficult.

Niko sighed in his heart. The settlement could have been used for a good amount of time, he wished he stayed there at least until his time in the noob building was over. Everything that had just occurred was way too sudden, and he would never expect such a thing to ever happen. In that settlement, humans seemed to be thriving, and just like that it all went wrong. There was a slight feeling of fear mixed with disappointment within him as well, but he was prepared to not let such thoughts get in his way.
As they kept on moving ahead, their hearts sunk.
"Damn it!" Ivanic cursed, as he saw what was ahead of him.
Three people were fighting two boar kings! It seemed to be an even battle as well, however, the boars had the slight edge. To go even against these boars they shouldn't be weak, however, these boars were always a problem.
These three people consisted of a young robust man who possessed a spiked draconic tail on his back. A young lady whose legs seemed to be completely made out of metal, and an older man with an ax in his hand.
The faces of these three lit up when they saw Niko's group, as the old man spoke, "Mind giving us a hand fellers?"
Niko was thinking of ways to avoid the confrontation. He wasn't a heartless person, but he was weak, and trying to be a hero was plain stupidity. Inwardly shaking his head, he understood that there was no way to avoid the battle as he summoned two spirits. One of the bee and another of the boar king.
Zheng also activated his skill, making his hand look like a ferocious clawed hand. When others saw the spirits of Niko, they didn't have the chance to understand what had just happened, as the boars were about to charge. Speaking with their mind the four moved closer to the three people.

"My skill can blind them! Cover your eyes and after I use it, attack with all of your power! Since there are more of us now, we can attempt this! This is our chance!" The old man spoke, as everyone nodded.
[Magic Flash Ball]!
A bright spherical object the size of a tennis ball appeared in his hand. The old man gripped it and threw it towards the two boars. As he threw everyone covered their eyes.
Bang!
A huge flash came and went in the blink of an eye. The boars who had ferocious eyes before were now disoriented and stumbled around as if they had no clue where they were. Seeing this opportunity, everyone attacked. Slashes, kicks, spikes, and tusks had all struck these two boars, making them a bloody mess. When attacking, they were extremely efficient too as they struck the main points of the boars.
Niko admired the flash skill, as he found it extremely useful for fleeing. The two by his side were just as impressive. The young lady kicked the head of one of the boars with so much force that it caused it to almost pop like a balloon. The young man with a draconic tail struck another boar leaving holes on its sides
"Thank you, folks, for saving our lives!" The old man said with a smile while the other two with him nodded.
"It's no problem. Let's head out now, we don't have time to waste." Niko spoke and everyone agreed.
They couldn't properly greet one another as there was no time to waste, and they quickly moved. Nikos group agreed with one another to keep an eye on the three and be cautious as they mover as far away from this place as possible.

Told that she'll get one more chance at life on a distant planet, nothing can stop her this time - especially not a bit of bad luck! This story will likely have inconsistent uploads, but I will do my best.. Feedback and constructive criticism are always welcome-I'm not very experienced with writing so it really is helpful!
8 226Living With Magic
Arthur, a young magician, is struggling with crippling social anxiety. The issue has reached a point where he likely won't graduate from University. Reaching a crossroads, he must decide whether to try and return to a family he despises or make his own path in the world. Is the magical power he has actually beneficial in the real world? Authors Note: I'm terrible at writing a synopsis, but over time I hope to write a better one. One of my favorite series of books is the Magicians by Lev Grossman and I hope to follow that same line of thinking within my story. How would a society built around magic actually exist and is power and magic actually as great as other stories make it out to be? The story and characters will be completely original and I will try to update the story on a regular basis. Also, any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
8 114Game Of Thrones: Season 8 - The Right Way
Game of Thrones has been an international phenomenon... until this final season. The last few episodes went completely off the rails and everyone slams critics for saying it was bad and challenged people to write it better. I humbly want to accept that challenge and I'm giving it a shot. Some of you may like my take on things and some may not.I will (hopefully) publish each chapter as I write them, every week to two weeks, in between my daily stories and time permitting.
