《Naruto: Golden Generation (SI, OC, Gamer)》Chapter 37

I looked at the people before me. The woman was waiting at the ready knives in hand and the man was smirking at me. ‘I can’t run away while I have the woman’s eyes on me. If I try to attack her, the man will cut my way and possibly with a very painful retaliation. I can only attack the man.’
I took an offensive stance and rushed forward to the man. ‘I can take a few knives without dying.’ I jumped at the man and started throwing fist after fist. He dodged some but mostly blocked. After the tenth block, the man jumped back and a knife came flying, so I had to dodge back too. That put between me and the man some distance.
‘He is trying to rest!’ I ran as fast as I can and jumped at him. He dodged to the side which opened a direct path to the woman. I didn’t wait for the knife and rolled in a way to put the man between me and the woman. The man tried to put distance between us but I didn’t let him. I dashed forward and faked a fist to his groin. He turned his body to the side and raised his shin to block my attack. As soon as I saw that, I changed my target to his support leg.
My fist connected with his knee and a crack had been heard. His face got a painful hue and he tried to jump back again. I stopped his jump by hitting his groin. He fell on his knees, hands on his groin. I was about to hit his neck when another knife came flying. This time, I blocked the knife with the man’s head and took it out where it was embedded. As soon as I did, a spurt of blood came out of the wound and man was living no more.

That left me with the woman. I smirked at her, “You should be careful. Friendly fire is on.”
The woman glared at me and took out another knife. She then leered at me with a crazed expression and answered, “You will make a fine meal.” She gulped loudly and continued, “I will start with your brain. Yes, that will satisfy me.”
I raised a brow, “You want my brains? I don’t think so.” With that, I started walking towards her, mindful of her knives. She, on the other hand, just watched me do that. When there were only two meters between us, she threw knives towards me but I was already rolling to the side. I came to a stop about three meters away from her and started running, intent on preventing her from taking out another knife.
The woman took a stance I guessed to be a defensive one and started waiting for my approach. I was in her range when she threw a fist as fast as she threw her knives if not faster. Her fist connected with my head and I felt the power leaving my limbs. I fell but got up quickly and took a defensive stance myself, waiting for her to do something while saying, “Oh, how about you throw me knives instead of fists?”
The cannibal chuckled, “I am out of knives. Unlucky you, I am better at fighting hand to hand.”
I frowned, ‘Obviously. I am about to get a hell of a beating am I not?’ Since the woman was patient I decided to attack again while being extra careful about her hands. ‘If I can limit her attacks to less sensitive parts of my body, I can win this fight thanks to my higher endurance.’ I started inching closer to her. As soon as I came inside her range, she whipped another attack towards my head but this time, I was ready. I blocked with one hand and punched her thigh with the other. ‘Damn, I hate being small. That could easily connect with her head.’ I took a step back to dodge her next attack, again, to my head I retaliated by punching the same place I punch before. Like that, we continued for a while.

When she understood she won’t be able to win against me with her current tactic, she changed her stance, standing on her good leg. She seemed to lose her enthusiasm and instead, seemed to look for a way out. She smiled at me sweetly and said, “Hey, little kid. If say, I won’t eat your brain, will you let me go?”
I chuckled. “Nope. You lost the moment you decided to eat my brains.”
The woman gritted her teeth and started inching towards me while holding her stance. I, on the other hand, was ready for another burst. I started running and used chakra enhancement burst. I got inside her guard, jumping and punched her chin. She flew back, I followed her and punched her while she was lying on the ground. Then I punched her again.
Again.
Again.
Again. Then she was done.
I heard someone clapping. I turned to the voice, it was Jiraia. I scowled at him. He on the other hand didn’t seem to care. He said, “Well done, kid. I thought you were finished when the woman started using a rather advanced hand-to-hand stance.”
I tilted my head. “You were watching?”
Jiraia snorted. “Kid, there is no way I would risk you. So of course I was watching.”
“You know which stance she used?”
He chuckled, “Relax kid. That stance is useless for someone so young and small. Get a bit taller and I will think about teaching it to you. Now, let’s look if any of them are still alive.” He walked among bodies and stopped on the woman. “She is alive.” He pinched her cheek. “Hmm… Awake too. Well come on, open your eyes.”
We waited for a while. I was about to ask if he was sure when the woman cracked open one of her eyes and looked at us. I shook my head, “She really is awake. I thought she would be out of it at least for a while.”
Jiraia took out a wire and nodded, “We still need to work on your body even though you are already very strong for a six-year-old. You will only get stronger from here.” He rolled the woman and tied her hands and legs. He pushed her body on the wall in a way to let her sit leaning on the wall then asked, “So, Ms. Cannibal, it’s time you talk.”

Fragments from the Wildlands
“Your first death is always the hardest.” Miguela was the third-born child of a well-off merchant family and knew from around the time she could speak that her life’s path was already decided. She was to become an Orator, as was Xandran tradition. However, Miguela had an affinity with the magikal arts and somehow found herself studying at the Academy. She did just enough to keep up with her studies but never found the motivation to apply herself and “reach her potential,” as her instructors often said. It was not that Miguela was uninterested in the arts. Rather, she knew her time at the Academy ultimately did not matter. Whenever Miguela returned home, she would become an Orator, and that would be that. Or so she believed until, one day, an opportunity appeared that would change her life. Miguela was offered the chance to join a research team tasked with a mission of the utmost importance to the future of the Five Kingdoms. She could not turn down the prospect of regaining control of her life and finally finding a purpose for herself. Of course, Miguela might soon discover that offers that appear too good to be true are usually fraught with lies. Welcome to Five Kingdoms of Cordizal! Question: What is the Five Kingdoms of Cordizal? I often get asked this type of question about my stories by friends, bloggers, and potential readers. The Five Kingdoms of Cordizal is a high-fantasy epic universe that is the setting for most of my stories. The foundation of the universe is its multicultural, multiracial setting with several sentient races attempting to carve their legacy and survive. The world is fully fleshed out and vibrant with a rich and mysterious history not based on Tolkien mythology. This brings me to magic. To me, magic is an essential part of the fantasy genre, so, of course, there is magic in the Five Kingdoms universe. However, one critical part of the Five Kingdoms universe is that magic is an abundant commodity that is a part of everyday life and not some plot device used to drive the story. In short, the Five Kingdoms universe is the setting of epic fantasy stories with deep characters and world-building. I try to tell as many different types of stories as possible in the universe, and hopefully, you can find something for you in it.
