“Take cover!”

People had already started to take over when they heard the gunshots.

Just as we heard the shout, I saw three shields flowing out from the Isabell, and they expanded to the size that they covered the whole car.

Thud Thud…

The car hadn’t entirely stopped yet when we jumped out of it and took over in the shields and started to return fire.

This may look gruesome, but it is not as much as it seems, most of the people here are battle-hardened, so soon they heard the gunshots, they started their defensive measures.

Not to forget these are the military vehicles, the shots fired by the Knight and Baron can be defended easily by them, only the attacks of the Viscount or above could damage the Vehicles.

Bang Bang Boom Bang….

The bullets finally reached us, but we were already ready to defend against them, but we sustained some damage by the cannons, most of the cannonballs were warded off by our snipers who blasted away the cannonballs before they hit the ground, but some of them were able to run our vehicles and burned them apart.

I don't think more than ten people would have died in the surprise attack, as the attack came from the distance, and people got a few seconds before the hail of bullets rain down on us.

The orcs have numbered in thousands, and they could have easily discovered by our scouts no matter how well they had been hidden.

So to conduct a surprise attack on the open field like this, they have to be quite far to do that, which is why I am sure that not more than ten people would have died in it.

The real assault will begin when two teams clash. Currently, both orcs and we are moving closer to each other while firing shots at each, so that we could come close enough to kill each other.

The bullets may seem lethal, and they but they are not, not as much as conventional weapons, as with instinct and superhuman reflexes one could still a dodged bullet even if it is fired by the person who is level above that one, but it is very very difficult to avoid the sword or ax or any other conventional weapons mainly when it used by the upper-level powerhouse unless one is Elite or closer to.

There was about two kilometers distance between us when they had attacked, but now that we are getting closer and closer to each other, there is barely a kilometer’s distance between us, which gave us a clear idea about their numbers.

They have around a thousand more people than us, seeing that I felt a little relieved if their number had been double and triple than us, there would have been a problem.

Bang Bang Bnag….

We kept attacking each other while getting closer and closer; I have to say I am one of the luckiest on the field seeing how Isabell’s three shields hovering around me and protecting me from any attack at me.

As we got closer, I could see more and more people falling on the ground due to injury and death.

We now got close enough, and in a few minutes, the real clash would start.

“Be careful,” Isabell said, seeing me leaving, I nodded and started to move little away with my shield hovering in front of me.

The reason I got away from Isabell and Sheila because they are Viscounts, elite ones at that.

On the battlefield, it is imperative to keep some distance from the powerhouse, as even a stray from them could kill you; that is, I started to move away when Orcs got close.

When the orcs reached two hundred meters from us, their commanding officer shouted attacked and hearing that all the Orcs, which slowly inching closer to you, started to run toward us with their shields forward.

If it had earth, this millennia-old attacking method would be an utter waste, a hundred with the rifles would have easily been able to kill the force of the thousands, but in this world where magic exists, and everyone has the superhuman strength, this and other old tactics are used very much.

That does not mean modern military practices are useless; some of them are useful as in this fantastic world of Magic.

Seeing more than two thousand Orcs running toward us, everyone got ready. My bracelet quickly separated into the nine tiny knives and started floating around me.

With knives floating around me and Gun and saber in my hand, I got completely ready for the attack of Orcs.

“Kill them all, not a single Vampire and Human had to remain on the field.” someone in the Orcs shouted, which made the Orcs run even higher speed than before.

“KILl!” Newt shouted and rang toward the prominent Orc commander with the sword in hand, seeing that others also started to run toward Orcs as well.

Bang Boom Bang…

Both of the forces clashed, and all sorts of sounds rang before the battles became chaotic; such direct fights were never organized, especially one in the open plain.

“Little doll, we are going to crush you to paste!” said one of three orcs with a hammer as it attacked me with its friends.

Puchi Puchi Puch

I did not move to see their weapon as next moment, but the knives that were hovering around me shot at lightning speed, and before they could even lift their arms to defend, they had their skull pierced and fell dead.

Thud Thud Thud…

Their bodies fell on the ground, but I did not look at it as I am walking toward another orc.

After the last bout of fuck, my soul power had boosted quite much and so is my physique with the Arctic Snow Method, with the enhancements they have given me, I have no fear against any Knight, even if that knight is Elite I do not doubt it.

Puchi Puchi…

I walked toward other groups of Orcs, and before they could notice me, I pierced their skulls with the tiny knives of mine.

“Die!”

I heard from behind when the bodies of the orcs hadn’t fallen on the ground, the knives that were buried in Orcs skill came out and moved toward the Orc that is attacking me behind.

Puch!

Five knives pierced through its skull before he could even take a step, after the baptism of last battle and boost in my soul power, my confidence grew a lot, and now I am slaughtering Knights like chickens.

I killed one Orcs after another, and in just a few minutes, I have killed over thirty Orcs, all the Orcs that I have shot were Knight stage, and it wants unintentional, I only killed Knights because I wanted to get used to my power.

Now I have gotten used to my power. It is time to hunt Barons, and my luck is quite good as a team of five barons coming toward me.
