《The Aria Chronicles》Northern Command

‘Wow!’
I said as I looked down from the deck, the Northern command which I had thought would be a giant defensive fort but looked like I was little wrong, there is a gi defensive fort, but there is also a city around it.
Though the city is very small and could not be compared to the other cities, it is definitely a city nonetheless.
“No matter how many times I see the fort Hyacinth, I get awed by it every time,” said Sheila as she looked at the giant defensive fort.
“Yes, it is awe-worthy!” I said as I looked at the Giant fort. The fort is Giant and seemed to be made of some unknown brown rock which gave off the oppressive feeling even from a distance.
From the deck, I could see many airships coming and going out from the city below in successive fashion, likely to dropping off reinforcement and such.
Thud!
Our airship also started to land on the airstrip near the Fort and a few minutes later it landed, I with Isabell and others get out of it with Ramon and Sir Aerons lead.
This time I wore my veil coming out of the airship, this is a giant military base and I don't want to attract too much attention especially of the powerful people
In the past few days, I got to know many things and I know there are many powerful people present in this fort that could take me and Ramon won't be able to do much.
“We already assigned a barrack, we will stay there till we get our assignment which we will get by the evening .” Said Ramon as we walked out of the Airship.
There is very little chance that we would be assigned to Fort Hyacinth (Northern Command), we will either be assigned to the outpost or boundary city, I hope the place I assigned is not too dangerous, I don't want to get posted at the dangerous place when I am still a Knight Rookie.

It would be fine if I got assigned to the dangerous location when I became Baron, at that time I will have a little strength of self-preservation.
Like us, many people are seen to be coming out of their airship with anxious but excited faces. This is a war where they would lose their life but this is also the place where they could earn a fortune and make immense progress, they are fearful about it but also very excited.
“The headquarters is the best place to buy the practice resources, I am going to use all the money I have to buy the things I need,” Sheila said excitedly with bright shine in her eyes.
This is the Military Headquarters but it is also a big market and one could get all sorts of things here that could not be found outside.
Here people sell their spoils that cant is sold to the military, all sorts of normal and strange things flowed here. The most abundant are resources of the north as this is Northern Command.
“Lilith you should buy what you need here but only use money, don't use your merit points.” Isabell cautioned.
Merit points could not be used lightly, as they are the currency that is used in the Military stores and it is the Military stores that have most rarest of rare resources, some of those resources could not be found outside.
One had to use merit points to buy those resources, that is why it is very important to not waste any merit points.
After ten minutes of walking, we reached the barracks. The barracks are the buildings that are divided into hundreds of sections to house scions and their forces, there are other barracks as well on the other side which housed the general forces of the Alliance.
Elites have got their own separate rooms as we did in the airship, though space here is only double that of the cabin in the Airship, it is still good as I do not have to share it with anyone.

“You all can do whatever you want till the evening but return by seven, there will be briefing about the assignment we got,” Ramon said as he walked toward the Giant fort with Sir Aeron and Joseph.
“Let’s go shopping,” said Sheila excitedly as she came toward us after talking with her boyfriend.
“What about Nigel, aren’t you going shop with him?” I asked Sheila as I looked at Nigel who is looking at sheilas back with little indignation, anger, and slight hope.
“Humph, he has his friends and who told him to get injured,” Sheila said while not even giving him any glance, Nigel seemed to hear what she said and all the hope in his eyes held crushed and he angrily called his friends who were little distance from him.
“I wish to gain enough merit in this war to buy all the resources I need for the level up.” Said Sheila as we walked toward the market.
To level up from Viscount to Count one needs lots of resources, a more when the one who is leveling up is an Elite. It is not the simple process of leveling up. There is a qualitative change that occurs when one level up to the Count level.
“Don't die in the lust of collecting the merit.” Isabell quipped, drowsing the dreamy look in Sheila's eyes immediately.
“You are such a spoilsport,” said Sheila as she stung her tongue toward Isabell before she started talking again.
While listening to Sheila and Isabell’s talk about their shopping list, I also started to make my shopping list metally. The first thing I have to buy is materials for the second stage of the Arctic Snow body refining method, it would definitely take a large chunk of my money.
The other thing I have to buy is a mask. The mask is quite common, I have seen many people wearing it, I plan on buying a few. They do not have to be artifacts, as long as they are tough.
I have a bracelet that can protect me against the soul sense of others, I just need mast to hide my face. The veil is very conspicuous in a place like a battlefield, I had already got hundreds of people giving me a look.
I want something common and the mask is the best choice as there are so many people wearing them and since we are fighting the Orcs, there have been no restrictions put on it.
“Let’s go to the store operated by Xander family, they always have everything one needs and their prices are also reasonable,” Sheila said as she motioned toward one of the biggest stories in the market.
The store is big as a mall containing everything that one needs, even Marquess will find the things that need in this store.
“Wow!”
I said as I entered the store through the huge door, inside there are rows and rows of stuff placed in the glittering cabinets, some stuff was normal while others were downright weird.
There is barely any stuff, I was able to identify while everything else remains unknown to me. It was good that everything is well tagged and there is also a small description of the stuff below it, otherwise I would have been clueless about most of the stuff here.

A young, talented, and aspiring archer makes his way to the Olympic Archery Qualifiers; however an accident prevents him from ever making it. An accident which took the final years of his adolescence, his dream of ever becoming an Olympic Gold Archer, and most importantly someone who meant the world to him. Rehabilitating for a year in a hospital, the despair and dread of being alone and having nothing left worth living for finally got to him. Finding his way to the rooftop, he decided fall, but where he expected death, something else appeared; a blue message. A chill and simple LitRPG story that I just wanted to write. Note: I write with the Dark Theme setting, so if I make a colour mistake it’s probably why. I also strangely prefer using the Imperial System to measure Height, while I use the Metric System for almost everything else (Canadian by the way).

How to raise a Hive Queen
This story is about a newborn Hive Queen, which gets raised in an unexpected environment. The first part of the story will focus on her development and the challenges that come with it. Eventually she will start to produce her own swarm of hive creatures. The species of the Hive Queen is called the Sylv and they are a insectoid species with an hive mind. The Sylv can evolve themselves through extracting traits from other non Sylv creatures. This is limited to modify the basic set of creatures the Sylv can produce, they are not able to create completely new creatures. In this regard they are more like ants, who have workers, soldiers and queen ants. The Sylv live underground in so called hive complexes and use living structures in them to produce more of their kind. The Hive Queen is the leader of a Sylv Hive and responsible for evolving the swarm. This novel takes place in a fantasy setting and was inspired by other hive species like the Zerg from "Starcraft" made by Blizzard Entertainment, the Arachnea from "Her majesty's swarm" published on j-novel club, and the Vex from "I don't want to be the Hive Queen" by ValetheHowl. I really enjoy stories with an organic hive mind species and want to contribute myself. The focus and theme of this story will change as the Hive Queen matures and defines the goals she wants to achieve. Until You Do It Right
The world ended on December thirty-first of the year two thousand and twenty, precisely at the stroke of midnight. The human race began to be systematically exterminated by the spawn of the System. We were given a chance to defeat them, to take back our place at the top of the food chain. We failed. The first to perish were those who bravely rebelled. The soldiers. The defenders. One by one, they fell. In their final moments, they begged for aid. Nobody replied. The next to succumb were those who feebly cowered. The deniers. The leeches. Together, they fell. In their final moments, they cried out into the darkness. Countless voices replied in kind. The last to decline were those who shamelessly ran. The deserters. The cowardly. Alone, they fell. In their final moments, they whimpered quietly. There was nobody left to answer. The final human to die was a survivor. A runner. As he died, he begged for salvation. His prayers were answered. He was offered a chance to save himself, along with all of humanity, and he took it. This is his story. “I sat in the dark and thought: There’s no big apocalypse. Just an endless procession of little ones.”― Neil Gaiman, Signal to Noise. I am absolutely new to writing and will take any and all constructive criticism. Please give feedback, it is greatly appreciated. I will update the tags as they change, and I hope that you enjoy this little story I'm writing! Quick warning: Seamus is intentionally a flawed character, and this story is going to explore those flaws and perhaps even change a few of them. I do not agree with all of his actions, but it is what it is.
