《The Aria Chronicles》Crash

Everyone was very happy seeing the airship of the orcs plummeting, as one less airship that will be attacking us.
It is very good that we are able to pummel the Orcan ship as their firepower is a little greater than us due to them having more ships than us.
Everyone was under great pressure seeing so many ships of the enemy but seeing the one ship falling down, a slight smile unconsciously appeared on their faces.
As I saw the thousands of cannonballs shooting across us, I seemed to understand the gravity of war as any of that cannon shot is powerful enough to kill me on the spot.
Not only me but everyone here, only sir Aeron will have to survive from such shot, I have heard from Isabell that sir Aeron is Marquess (Level 5), Marquesses are frighteningly powerful, I had once sensed the aura of a Marquess and it had brought me to my knees.
Bang! Crack crack….
Suddenly an unusually powerful cannonball crashed on the shield of our airship, this cannonball was so powerful that it made the shield of our airship cracked, seeing that horror appeared on the faces.
“Quickly put more energy into a shield!” sir Aeron couldn't help but shout seeing that, the captain didn't seem to hear it as he did not respond but I could see the crack in the shield started closing slowly despite being hit by tens of cannonballs every second.
BANG BANG BANG
Crack Crack……
Just as a crack on the shield about to close when three big cannons balls crashed on the shield, the crack which was about close started to spread at a very fast rate seeing the crack, it felt like it will soon spread over the shield and break it apart fully.
“Activate the enclosure!” Shouted Ramon but before its words could fully form the captain had already activated the enclosure as the transparent film started to surround the command center.

While film surrounding the command center, more and more cracks had formed on the shield, despite airship being very nimble the cannon shots kept raining on the airship which again increased.
“I was going to give you this after we arrived at the Battlefield but now seemed to have a good time too!” said Ramon suddenly as he gave me a baby fist-sized circular silver shield before looking back at the projection.
I looked at the tiny silver shield that had been handed down to me, with slight inspection of my mental energy, I came to know everything about this shield.
BANG!
Bang Bang Bang...
As I was observing the shield another, a strong cannonball again struck against the shield, the fully cracked shield broke apart and a hail of cannonballs started to crash directly against the airship.
Dhub!
for the first few minutes, the airship was able to bear it with its own solid defenses but after some time, they also started to lose out and many parts of the ships started catching fires.
“I am initiating falling protocol!” The captain stated and no one refuted him, no matter how many cannonball ships dodged, the cannonballs kept hitting every second.
It is the most frighting experience of my life, I am fucking scared right now like never before. if any fireball breach the defenses enter inside it, they would surely take the life of more than half of the people here.
“Yesss!”
The shout rang out in the command center again as our side was able to make another of their ship again, that condition had become the same as ours.
It could fall down any second but despite that, it continues launching a barrage of attacks just like our airship kept launching at them.
“We are at our defensive limit, the runes on the outer hull will lose power in thirty-second, after thirty seconds the ship will start to fall,” said Captain and tapped a few buttons.

The runes in the command center started to light up and the next moment, very viscous type energy started to feel the command center.
‘The Cushioning Effect!’ I didn't know these people had such advanced technology, I have read about it before but this is my first time experiencing it.
This viscous energy filling the command center creates a cushion, so when we fall we would not get injured. The energy layer that covered the command center was just to save us from dying.
This viscous energy will save us from getting injured, as Arial battle is an only half battle that we have a way of participation but when we fall down, the real battle will start.
Bang bang bang...
Shake…
The cannons continued to reign down on the ship and then a few seconds later, the airship shook before it started falling down but despite it falling, the captain kept launching the attacks at the enemy.
As the airship was falling, I felt like I had been stuck in the very thick incorporeal gelly, that viscous liquid had turned into jelly and now bound us all in it.
Even with my strength of High Stage Knight, I barely able to make a slight movement in this incorporeal jelly and having quite a problem breathing but I didn't mind as I know that this jelly will keep me safe when I fall down and that is why I bore the extreme discomfort that I am feeling.
The airship falling down but I noticed that its falling speed is way slower than it should be, when falling down such a machine would have created the great friction with the air which would have heated the hull of the ship even more and fire that is burning the ship would have been even more but nothing that sort is happening.
The airship is falling down with barely any air friction and captain and his subordinates still pressing the command furiously, this jelly-like viscous energy barely seemed to hinder their movements.
Well it's understandable, all the subordinate of captain is at Baron stage and Captain himself is a powerful Peak Viscount, so they would just have to put up little effort to move around the airship.
Through the projection, I could see the Orcan ship also falling while our ship is falling the Aerial battle continues, I could see airships are moving at very high speed attacking and dodging the attacks that came at them.
BANNNG!
The airship fell on the thick trees, the trees directly crushed under the force before the huge airship crashed on the ground, just as it crashed I felt a huge force traveling inside the airship.
The force was so great that it turned me into the mist, the force crashed on the airship and first its crush the energy layer which diffuses the more half of the force that is coming toward us.
Crackle Crackle….
As that force crashed across the viscous jelly like energy, I started to hear the invisible crackling sound. The jelling like energy absorbing the force and bursting like a balloon.
I kept hearing a crackling sound for a minute before it finally stopped and the jelly energy turned into the watery, the viscosity of lessened a lot that I can easily move through it.
Wow!
That crushing pressure is enough to turn all into the mist except for Sir Aeron but this viscose energy able absorb it all leaving a without a scratch on our body.
“Get ready there is a big battle ahead of us!” shouted Roman suddenly and started to walk out of the command room with middle-aged man, I and other retainers followed him behind knowing that real battle will start now.
