Infinite Ocean Ch 15
I am walking to the edge of the city silently. The weather was perfect and the sun os shining brightly. I started asking for directions from the marine guards which gave me a clear directions.
The road was quite desolate and there are many shrubs along the road. With the help of the directions from the marine guards, I was clearly headed in a quite forested area. While I was busy walking, a group of people entered my Divine sense range. They are clearly following me since all of them were hiding. The followed me for a couple of minutes before I sense another group of people were hiding in the forest entrance seemingly preparing for an ambush.
All of my observations and sensing were possible due to my Divine Sense which is always up. It is 100m around me which allows me to know what is within the said radius. It grows as I advance my cultivation so it was quite handy. What it do is it release a ripple of Qi which scans everything around the radius of effect and can even tell me if there is a strong being inside it.
Divine Sense can also be used to communicate with beast and trees who gained Spiritual Wisdom. The Qi will be replaced by my soul which will then communicate to the beast or tree. While it might sound great it have a smaller range than the Qi Divine Sense, it can only extend for about 10m around me which means that I need to be in close proximity for it to work.
Since I can sense that they are waiting specifically for me, I didn't try to evade due to the fact that they are only average mortals with the strongest having 4 times the power of an adult. It might sound arrogant that I am going in even though I already knew the ambush, but I want to know their motive for ambushing me.

There was a big guy standing in the middle of the road. He is a bald guy with brown skin holding a bastard sword. I went ahead and tried walking past him but as I suspect, they came to ambush me.
"Stop right there. If you want live." the man said as he drew his blade and pointed at me
"Who are you guys? And what do you want?" I ask calmly as all the people hiding went ahead and encircled me.
There are about 16 of them in total, all which are armed with sword and guns. The man with the strongest power went forward. He was wearing a mask that covers half of his face and was equipped with two pistols.
"Hello there Mr. Smithson. We are from the Black Tentacle Gang." He said as he bows mockingly. "We heard that you recently acquired the Bounty of Greg. Our Boss wants to have all the money, so if you don't want to die, just give us your card and its number code." the masked guy threathened
"If you don't do as we say. Your two friend and your grandparents might get harmed" he continued to threathen me
"What did you do to the two ladies?!" I asked angrily
"Hahaha, we just took them in and will be having fun with them." the big guy said with a lecherous smile.
"Okay then, you want my money right? Come and get it then." I said coldly as I released my full pressure.
With the release of my pressure, all of them were forced to kneel with some of them pissing themselves. The masked man who was cockily threathening me fell on his butt and was shaking. As he saw me aporoach he started screaming before passing out.
After I stopped releasing my pressure, all of them breathed deeply and was drenched with sweat. With their mental state in disarray, I was able to squeeze out the information that I needed.

Rain and Jess are supposesld to be stored in a warehouse at the far end of the docks. I am not sure if they get caught but it's not worth taking my chances.
I started to use the movement technique that Master Yun taught me. It is named 《Fleeting Wind and Clouds Technique》which is a top movement technique that do not use elemental Qi. There are 7 stages in the technique, I am already at the 4th stage which let me run as fast as a ranging wind.
Rushing towards the said warehouse, I started to maximize my Divine Sense. I started to feel if there is someone being held inside, and surprisingly there is only one bounded individual.
Using the Stealth ability of my Martial Spirit, I sneaked past the ruffians trying to guard the warehouse. After I arrived at the open space, an alarm went off which caused all the people to rush inside.
"*clap* *clap* I see that you made it here. I am surprised that an assassin like you can defeat anl couple of elites in my Black Tentacle." A fancily dressed man went inside the ware house followed by a bunch of underling with powers exceeding the average people.
"So that's why a gang knew that I have money. If a Gang's leader is actually the head in the Bounty Department, finding people with actual money to rob is easy." I sighed as I realized from my Divine Sense.
All beings have a unique Spiritual Signature which can be identified with the use of Divine Sense. Although all emit Spiritual Signature, Cultivators are the only one's that can have strong signatures. Since I already met Sylvester Talon earlier this past week or so, I can determine his signature when I am upclose.
"Wait!!? How did you know it was me??!" Sylvester shouted with panick present in his voice
"What are you all doing standing there?!! Go get him idiots!!" He shouted to the ruffians with weapons.
There are some that can be considered elite which have proper training, but sadly they pick the wrong person to target. I beat up all of the people wjo chatged at me and threw them to the side. Sylvester immediately pulled a gun and started shooting me. While I was distracted by Sylvester, an underling of Sylvester sneaked beside the person which was tied in the chair.
From what I sensed earlier, It is Rain who got caught. So without any warning She was used as a hostage.
"Stop right there if you still want her to live!" Sylvester shouted as he looks at me with an evil smirk
"Why yo--" I stopped mh charge as I realized that Rain was being held by a man armed with a knife which was ready to slice her neck.
"Hahaha!! That's the face I wanted to see. Now, give me your Platinum card and its Number code." Sylvester said with an evil laugh
I was pressed with a hard choice so of course I chose to save Rain. I tossed my card to the guy holding Rain in which caused the guy to let her go to pick the card up. In the short time that the man was picking the card, I exerted my full effort and rushed to Rain while knocking the guy out with a chop in the neck.
Sylvester was terrified by my display of speed and immediately ran away with a horse. I was about to chase him when I noticed that Rain was poisoned.
With the use of my Qi, I isolated the poison that is currently spreading at her internal organs. With a huge concentration, I was able to eradicate the poison by pulling it out of her body.
She started coughing purple blood which contains the poison. As I assured that she was okay, Sylvester has long escaped the range of my Divine Sense.

Dark Lands: The Exile and the Prince
A short time has passed since the siege on Ruined Home has been lifted and as the survivors of the battered encampment slowly begin to rebuild their new home, Aurelius has returned from a failed troll hunt. Yet despite the battered prince’s failures, he has set into motion a series of events that will forever change his life. Meanwhile, Iskra has found herself at the helm of a far more favorable position and begins to forge a path that will lead her towards the first steps of a long road of revenge. Author’s Note: This is the direct sequel to the first Dark Lands story and as time goes on I will update the synopsis to help bring further detail about the story. For now however, I hope you all enjoy what is about to be written. Eight Years Arc: Eight Years have passed since Aurelius and Iskra have first met one another, and a lot has changed since then. The vast majority of Aurelius’ family has been slaughtered by the hands of none other than his oldest brother, a man that the golden haired prince had spent the past several years to hunt down and kill all in the name of vengeance. Upon his return, the kin-slaying prince has found that some things have changed during his absence. Iskra, his first wife and love of his life, has proclaimed that she no longer cares about the events that have been unfolding in her former homeland for the last several years and states that she is solely focused on raising her children. Yet it is through learning that the High Elves have taken a keen interest in the once magically-absent lands of Ranislava that Aurelius decides that action must be taken and thus he journeys south to learn more about what his distant kin are up to in such a backwater region of the world. Who he will meet and what he will do will turn the tides of fate, but in whose favor is something that only the Gods will know. (The Eight Years arc is something that was designed to be written in a way where people don't have to feel the need to go back to the very beginning of the Dark Lands story in order to know what is going on or who the characters are.)
