What came into our vision stunned us both into shock.

“What the hell!” Floyd roared in anger but because of the water around us, it was hard to hear him not that I didn’t understand how he felt.

We have been training painstakingly for 200 and something years thinking that we would get treasures left by the thunder king, who would have thought that this would happen when we opened the door.

I placed my hand on his shoulder getting his attention, I gestured him to follow as I swam upwards from the lake, that’s right this lake is the first place we were at before we got sucked into that cave.

When we both got to the surface we looked down one more time towards the bottom of the lake and the light was there, right now we didn’t want to go back as we have been inside for so long so we turned from the light and went to the top of the lake.

Now that I have entered the emperor rank I don’t have any problems being in the water unlike when I was in the king rank. I can move a lot faster and breath in water since I can control everything around me within 700 meters using my sword energy.

Hmm…

When we got to the top and looked outside the lake we were once again stunned.

The entire place was destroyed. Its beautiful state has been turned into nothing but fire and ashes, but the most stunning thing is the people in this place. It was the same men who fought us 200 and something years ago, not only does their power match but their wounds also look fresh.

“Have they been here for the past 240 years?” Floyd asked me and I shook my head “It’s impossible, look at their wounds and the place we are at, their wounds are definitely very fresh so they must have gotten them very recently not to mention the area around us was also destroy recently as well.” I explained.

“They are alive!” We heard a shout and the people who were down their knees looked up towards us in horror, we just smiled and got out of the water.

The moment we got out the 6 men took a step back and got out their swords.

“Get ready it’s now or never!” The man in the front yelled and they prepared to send out another attack like the one they used 240 years ago.

I looked at them and smiled.

This spell might have been a problem for me 240 years ago but ever since I entered the Emperor rank my power and my understanding of it has grown.

If they didn’t use this spell last time and attacked us normally we would have lost the fight without a doubt but they were afraid that we had something to get away with, which is why they wanted to kill us with this sure kill move.

According to Floyd, this is one of the formations the humans have been using for years.

This formation requires 6 king rank cultivation to fuse their ki energy and create a huge ki blast that can kill anyone under the Emperor rank.

So there is no way for any king rank cultivator to take on this kind of attack without having Emperor rank armor, and the chances of one having one are very low, which is why this attack is one of the most powerful formations the humans have in this level.

But now this kind of attack in front of us is nothing at all.

‘What is going on Dyton, how come everything is the same as it was 240 years ago?’ I asked Dyton

He was quiet for a moment ‘I believe whatever that cave was it also slowed down time, so when you stayed there for 240 years only 240 seconds has passed in the real world.’

‘Holy shit is that even possible?’ I asked Dyton

‘It is but no one in this plane should have access to the amount of power needed to create something this powerful which means whoever created that the world is a master amongst masters in the 4 major worlds.’ Dyton replied

‘For now, just kill these morons and get out of this place, I believe that these humans have already sent for reinforcements, right now you have only stepped into the Emperor rank, this does not mean you are immortal. Anyone who is at the second stage of the Emperor rank can kill you.’ Dyton said and I nodded.

Indeed, when I fought against Floyd I realized how much energy mattered in a fight. The person with more energy has the ability to fight for longer and create more powerful attacks. If they also had Emperor technique and weapons they could kill us even faster. Right now we can be killed by someone at the second stage of the Emperor rank unless we combine our strength and go against him 2 against 1.

I got out my sword and fused it with my sword energy turning it into a streak of light.

In a matter of seconds, all 6 of the men had their neck cut off and died with their eyes widen in shock and disbelief.

This is why everyone in the Emperor rank is feared so much. Since they have the power to move their swords over a distance of 500 meters, their chance of killing someone is high. Not to mention that they are able to use the middle mortal energy on their swords.

Of course, they can’t kill another Emperor rank cultivator this easily. Everyone who enters the Emperor rank has their energy up within the distance of 500 meters at all time so the moment the sword enters their energy they will know and therefore avoid the sword.

Unless the sword is too fast for them to avoid, then they would need either an emperor armor or immortal armor to keep their life.
