~Hollow Wood~
~Vlad PoV~
I looked at where the sound came from and watched how the bow became smaller again, the man seemed to be waking up as he opened his eyes and jumped up while looking around.
~Rumble
The ground shook as he moved around, after checking his own body he went back to his human form, he picked up the bow and put it away and looked around until his gaze fell on me and he took out his bow again.
"I am not going to fight you, there is no point!" I yelled at him as I put my hands up
"Why didn't you kill me? Why is a beast like you doing here? and how can there be a dragon left in this world?" The man yelled back
"Why don't we put down our weapons first and talk this out, I am also interested what you are doing in enemy lines!" I yelled and he put away his bow and came closer.
As he came closer his gaze went from mine to the people below me who are dead, he looked at me "What happened?"
"They saw your form, the last thing we need is morons like these telling the humans about us?" I said and went towards the 4 in the back and took out my throwing knives from the trees and put them away.
After that, I went back to where I was and stood next to the man and looked at him "Forget it, dead people won't talk no one will know that they were killed by me!" I said as I looked at the worried expression on his face.

"Do you honestly believe that they won't know who killed them? If these were normal people maybe, but they are from the holy union. This means that they already know they are dead and who killed them!" He said as he looked around
I looked at him confused "Why are you so jumpy, the holy union, is it not a weak organisation?"
"Of course not! The holy union are only weak in image but in the shadows they maybe the strongest organisation the humans have, they don't want the other race's to know that they have such a strong force so they are in hiding waiting in the shadows in case there is a war"
That makes sense, there is no one who wants to show their true cards to anyone else unless they have no choice but to.
If this really is true then I am in deep trouble, it looks likes that I won't be having a smooth time anymore. I need to find out as much as I can about the holy union if I want to stand a chance against them as well as get stronger.
[Meanwhile somewhere in the world]
The country of Gorus is a tiny country with a population of 7099700 humans
Bordered between large rock formations to the North, huge, open plains to the South, frozen mountains to the East and a stone wall to the West, the country of Gorus mainly lives of blacksmithing, armor smithing, and baking.
Gorus itself is mainly covered in rivers and has a polar climate, which has lead to a congested population, despite the number of people, which means most of them live in settlements.
The country's landscape is quite beautiful; terraced fields of green, misty mountains and cascading rivers are just a sliver of the delicacy Gorus has to offer, which is why the country is a cherished destination among foreigners.

The people of Gorus are selfish towards foreigners and tend to welcome them with apathy. They feel foreigners could find out the secrets the country holds.
Gorus has tough laws and law enforcement, which is to be expected. The people are anguished due to lack of freedom, caused by skills and secrets.
This is also reflected in the country's flag, which has three horizontal stripes and a triangle in brown, dark purple, light gold and silver. Their coat of arms is a chicken on a shield
Within this tiny country, there is a castle in the south, the castle has eight strong, round towers tower above all, they're linked with small bridges and are connected by fortified, thin walls made of brown stone.
Tall windows are scattered here and there around the walls in seemingly perfect symmetry, along with symmetric crenelations for archers and artillery.
A great gate with massive metal doors and various artillery equipment gives a safe place to rest in this forest stronghold and it's the only easy way in, any other side would be futile.
Huge dragon bones litter the fields outside the castle, half overgrown, but still a painful reminder of the past. This castle looks very new, but without knowing its history it's impossible to tell if it's a newly build castle or a well kept one.
Inside this castle, there is a room where a group of women seem to have gathered around in a table, each one of them seems to be in the emperor rank while the one on the main seat is at the immortal rank.
"We need to take action now, based on the image we got that was definitely a beast and not a simple one at that!"a woman who seems to be at the age of 30 yelled as she slammed her hand on the table.
"Calm down, we need more information first before we take action, we can't act carelessly, not now. I can feel a strong storm coming to this world, we need to save our strength now more than ever" The young women in the main seat said as her brown eyes swept over the people in the table, this made everyone become quiet and the woman took down her hand from the table.
"I am going to go and have a discussion with the other faction leaders about this matter until then no one is to take action!" The young women said as she stood up and walked out of the room, just when she left the room the people had a sigh of relief as if a huge pressure was lifted from their shoulders.
"Pfft!" The women who slammed her hand on the table earlier also left the room after the young women, she was not satisfied with the outcome of the meeting.

The once-bustling and noisy streets were now filled with an eerie blanket of silence. Hoarse and frenzied whispers lingered high above the heavens, and an indescribable ancient giant lurked in the shadows of the bottomless ocean. A mysterious plague had outbroken, and natural disasters wrought the Earth. Global pandemic and catastrophes had the panicked masses seeking illusory shelters from the devastation, day and night. A bloody shower poured over the land as the streaks of lightning tore across the sky, illuminating the ill-intentioned gathering of ravens above. Nevermore, nevermore, quoth the ravens. “We can see that this malformed creature has twelve pairs of ribs like humans, but also has a “transverse bone” that humans do not possess…” In the medical school, Gu Jun continued bringing down his scalpel, illustrating the abnormal thoracic structure of the malformed cadaver on the dissection table to the surrounding students. The Sun's Remnant
Two people are transported to a world with magic, but it is no Wonderland. When the god of light died, he decided to take the world with him. At least, that’s what many believe in the Kingdom of Rhine, a once vast kingdom of which only a small corner remains — and even that is threatened. On one side, by the Twisted Forest, a corruption spreading from the deathplace of the gods that has already swallowed up most of Rhine. On the other, by the resurgent Kagrathan Empire, resurrected by the infallible God-Emperor Karlatz. A holy order of knights carry out their mission despite the death of their god. A band of talented misfits prepare for a heist out of their league — by stealing. Mages hunt for secrets even as the world ends. A ruler does what must be done to save the living, no matter the cost. Into this world of magic and murder, two adrift souls are inexplicably dragged: a mother estranged from her young daughter due to her own mistakes, and a young man with a love of fantasy who has gradually drifted away from his friends and family. As they each struggle to find their place in this world, they must also answer the question: do they want one?***Content Warning: I've drafted about 100,000 words (most of the first volume), and there is no sexual content so far, though I may add it in the future. There is occasionally gore and traumatising content as the story demands. I commit to keeping all of the above non-voyeuristic. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

Moonlight
Three powers were discovered and harnessed so that they could be controlled. These powers are required to keep the planet alive, and need human bearers to focus and amplify their individual powers, but at what cost to their bearers? Power over the elements, controlling the flow of time, and dictating life and death are the powers that three young adults wield in Moonlight, but their lives will be changed forever. Moonlight follows the stories of Claire, Jayden, and Seraphine, as they learn to control these powers that desire to consume them. Author Notes: Hello! This isn't my first attempt at writing a story, and it isn't even my first attempt at writing this particular story, but I'm not in any way what I would call "experienced". I decided to upload my writing here because I just wanted to get my ideas out there, and I wanted to get some constructive criticism for my writing from the RRL community. All comments are welcome, but please try to keep them positive and constructive! If you leave a rating, I would appreciate it if you left a short explanation of what you liked and what I can improve on. I'll be uploading each chapter as I finish them, but this is still the first draft so anything and everything is subject to change. The cover art is drawn by me, but I'm in no way married to it. I just wanted something that showed the three magical sources, as I picture them in my head. If you do any art based on this story, send it to me! I would love to see it. I'll stop talking now, I hope you enjoy the story!
