"HALT!"

Two platoons of soldiers comply and stop their march. A young lady got down from her horse and approached the entrance of the village. Her long red hair that trails on her shoulder, green iris and the freckles on her cheek is a feature that every soldier remembers in their heart. Clara is both the symbol of fear during their training and hope in the frontlines.

Harry respect Clara professionalism, even though it is highly likely that her family is killed, she is still able to command the army without being distracted by her feelings.

As Clara looked over the bodies that have already begun rotting, recognizing the faces and memories that continuously appear in her mind, She clenches her fist forcing herself to calm down. Turning around towards her men, she unexpectedly sees cries of sorrow. Disregarding her men emotions, she set two groups to scout ahead while telling the rest of the men to gather the bodies for burial.

Clara personally carries the bodies with her hand, she didn't treat them as mere objects but didn't mind others that use their magic to do their bidding.

The rotten smell and the gore still give many of her men the urge to vomit, but the three men, Bill, Ryan, and George with their immediate use of scent removal allow others to save face.

Previously, George told Clara about the happenings within the storeroom thus after carrying all of the bodies in the surrounding to one place. She set her sight on the storeroom. Clara is accompanied by the general himself, after receiving the approval from the scouts that have a pale expression as if he had seen a ghost, they walked in.

"M-Mum....." Clara didn't think the first person she recognizes within the room is her mother that she loves dearly. After seeing her mother sufferings, Clara wasn't able to control her emotions anymore. Previously she was holding up by thinking optimistically that her parents might have escaped somehow as her family is one of those that gotten the help of Harry finance to give their family contracted spirits.

Clara bends down and grieves on her mother. A couple of minutes pass as the horrors of the room strike her men. Harry disrupts Clara grief by placing a cloth over Clara naked mother. As for the rest of the nude bodies, Harry dismisses them as if they are objects. He starts sending out orders in behalf of Clara as he realizes that her mind is currently unstable and unsuitable for command.

"Sir, I've detected aphrodisiac within the bodies of both men and women."

Harry frown and quickly form a barrier around his body. He knows that it might be too late but being cautious is harmless. The rest of the men nearby too, quickly form their barrier and proceed out from the storeroom.

"Levitate"

Harry immediately uses his magic to break open the roof of the storeroom before pushing all of the gas within the storeroom upwards. Harry clenched his fist resulting the roof to curl up into a ball of wooden debris. He proceeds to throw it out on the ground where his men are out of the way.

"Status recovery." Last but not least he makes sure that everyone that came in contact with the bodies within the storeroom is cured of any debuff.

"Liquid or gaseous state?"

"Liquid sir."

"Clara, did you see your father?"

"No sir, he is not present within the storeroom."

Harry proceeded to levitate the rest of the bodies they found in the village compound and place them within the storeroom so that they could bury all of them together but not without gathering as much information as possible.

Clara carried out her mother from the storeroom and buried her at the back of her house. After that, she tries to search for her father who is currently missing in action. She's hoping that he survives, but things aren't looking good as her father spirit is only at the rank of squire, too weak to be able to do anything in the current situation at hand.

Clara prays that her father manages to escape from the massacre.

Meanwhile, reports were coming towards Harry like bullets as every little thing that his men found suspicious will immediately be reported. Those that unable to report something will be punished with more training which causes the men to be able to ignore the horrible happenings and open their eyes for clues to who is the culprit and how did most of the village die.

The whole search down takes only about an hour and a half but they still unable to find anything that could prove who is the culprits behind the massacre.

Everyone feels down as if this continues the murderer can escape freely without being punished. Most importantly what are they going to say to the sons and daughters that come back from wherever they have gone.

Harry is the most anxious one as his political power within the realm will fall, and any uprising general could take the opportunity to take over his place. Even though his spirit rank is powerful, he is not the most powerful person out there. The king could forcefully bring him down with his army.

Harry is reluctant, but they have wasted too much time. The dead bodies have started breaking down too much that the men are unable to get anything else from them. The type of weapon used and the time of their death is crucial, and weirdly enough some of the victims have been dead by two weeks difference.

After Clara manages to keep her emotions in check, she ordered her men to start burying the bodies. If possible, she would want to state their names on the grave, but either she doesn't recognize them, or their face has decayed until she is unable to know who is it.

~ Meanwhile

Ava is out shopping while trying her best to see the moving patterns of the people within the church. It isn't easy as there is a large fence covering most of the church building. Ava knows that her cover will be blown once she enters the church as any visitor will need to show their card identification. A simple thing yet will make it harder for her to sneak inside the church.

It took Ava two days to overcome her trauma. Her hand continues to shake every time she unconsciously remembers her first kill. Connor advises her to practice training to throw the icicle with accuracy within the inn so that she will have the skill to protect herself and also be able to avoid thinking about being a killer. Now Ava, minimum at least can throw accurately in a distance of four meters.

[Don't turn back, someone is following you.]

Connor flies towards the suspicious person. The man wears a hood to cover his identity similarly to Ava and is currently giving out signs towards another person that is leaning on the wall facing utterly opposite of where Ava is.

Connor doesn't recognize the first man but immediately identify the other. It is one of the soldiers that is guarding the gate of Ava household.

[As expected, we have been found out. Get back to the alley to blink back to your inn quickly.] Connor knows for sure that the soldiers have already discovered where they stayed, but he has already confirmed the quest thus he's ultimately risking Ava life so that they wouldn't receive the penalty.

'Create quest, to reach back to the inn safely within one hour.'

Fortunately, Ava can act natural and slowly get back to the alley. Looking back, Connor sees that the soldiers are moving quickly towards Ava as the crowds of people don't restrict them.

Seconds before the soldiers turn towards the alley, Ava manage to successfully blink back to her room which brings up the quest completion.

[Ava, are you done packing? What are you doing?] Connor flies out of the inn to detect anyone coming their way, and it seems that the soldiers are rushing towards the inn.

'S-Shit!' Being urged on. Ava is pressured, panicked-stricken she hurried out from the inn after grabbing a few of the clothing that able to stuff it inside her bag.

'Haaa... Haaa... W-What now?' Ava is helplessly catching her breath while being cautious of her surrounding.

'Eee! Fine you demon!' Ava follows Connor instructions, and within seconds she turns into a completely different person.

'H-Here!? Absolutely not!' Ava blushes in embarrassment as a noble she wouldn't want to expose her fair maiden body to the public.

'....Sigh' Ava proceeds to change her outer layer and throw it inside one of the barrels. As soon as she wore a new outer layer, a group of soldiers walked in.

Both the soldiers and Ava stare at each other for a few seconds before she realizes that she shouldn't act as if she knows them.

"W-What do you guys want? I've got no money..." Ava hugs herself, pretending to be frightened while backing off slowly step by step.

One of the men gives hand signs towards his comrade, and without hesitation, they run pass by ignoring Ava. On the other hand, the man continues to stare at her.

"I-If you do anything, I will scream!" Ava continues her act to not give the soldiers any suspicion about her.

"Did you see a young lady wearing a dark blue shirt?" The man didn't let Ava get away. Instead, he proceeds to question her.

"A y-young lady? N-no I didn't. Did she do something wrong? W-Who are you people?" Ava slowly walks around the man while he continues to frown while looking at Ava. Nearing the exit Ava runs off back to the crowds after the man didn't continue to do anything.

Ava knows what she got to do now without waiting for instruction from the demon voice. She got herself a few new clothing and went to a nearby restroom while changing her clothing at the same time she applies a new disguise. Unfortunately, she needs disguise II to alter her voice and her body scent. Fortunately, the soldiers rarely hear her voice as she's been cooped up in the room for four years.

Probably her brother, Thomas or her personal maid Karen could recognize her just from her voice. Ava feels excellent at being able to get away from her father's squad. Stepping out of the restroom a loud voice attracts her attention.

"GRAVE NEWS! ROUKITZ VILLAGE HAS BEEN OVERRUN BY THUGS!"

A young man continues shouting at the top of his voice while running off into the distance.
