"I take my leave now Milady." Karen has no intention of listening on the things that are about to happen. After signaling for Ava to proceed she walk away.

Ava nods her head nervously but happy at the same time. After taking a huge breath in and out to calm herself down, she slowly opens the door. Meanwhile, Connor manages to see Karen venting her frustration. Karen continues scolding Ava as she slowly walks away from the dining room.

"Bitch... Fucking bitch! Is it all a bluff now huh? Shit!"

Connor would rather listen to Karen venting as she might unconsciously spit out some information that he wants to know but he is forced to stop as he is bound to Ava.

"Ava tell me what had happened?" To her disappointment, her father didn't care to ask whether she is alright; instead, he just wants to get information out of her.

'Why don't you ask Karen...' In Ava mind, she childishly hopes to reply that way, but as a noblewoman, her father would perceive it differently.

"Nigel mother once told me that Nigel has an interest of a set of perfume. Seeing that one set is not enough I've gone to Nigel house to ask his mother if there are any other things that he might be interested in."

"Hmm... Karen informed me that you told her that there's going to be an attack even before it happens. Care to elaborate?"

'So you did ask that bitch first. Why are you asking me once more then?' Ava fume as she feels that her father is interrogating her.

"I did try to tell you in our previous meeting. I have changed father."

"Yes, I remember, you did announce it. Go on."

"A spirit contracted with me, and now I can use magic."

"Hmm... Show me."

"Of course father." Ava closes the palm of her hand and imagines the icicle once more.

Harry stare motionlessly at the icicle while expecting something more to happen. Ava realizes her mistake and tries to diffuse the situation.

"T-this is just the start. My magic will continue to grow father."

Ava father didn't reply and continued to eat his food.

"Take a seat and have dinner with me."

Ava turns towards the table and realizes there's another set of meal. She didn't expect to be invited to have dinner with her father. Most importantly, after four years of not talking to each other. It just didn't sit right with her when she is suddenly introduced to such circumstance.

As she is eating, the question of 'Will you cancel my marriage with Nigel?' Is stuck, as she hasn't found a perfect time to ask.

In the end, Ava held her tongue and simply regretted not asking. Currently, she is punching her pillow while venting her frustration.

Thinking back, the demon is right except for her brother, Thomas. She has no allies, and even her father doesn't care about her. Her mother? Ava doesn't even know if she is still alive. Similar to her father, she hasn't met her mother since four years ago. Mia? Her little sister? Ava doesn't even recognize her as not once in her life, seen her.

'Good choice.' Connor is impressed as Ava starts to pack her bag.

'Create quest, Get out from Philip residence two hours from now.'

Harry Philip and Ava personal maid, Karen is having a discussion.

"As always, thank you for protecting my daughter. Things will go to normal and remember not to say a word about Ava powers."

"W-Why did you lie to us about her not having any power."

"... You're dismissed. I have other things to do."

"Tch..." Karen stomped out from the room in anger.

After the door is slam shut from the outside, Harry stops his work and turn his head towards the window.

"Sigh, they seem to have pushed their plan forward. The kingdom is in danger. I would need to place more troops to defend my family." Harry sigh in sadness, after closing his eyes for a while his expression change covering his weakness and called out his trusted subordinate.

"Gilbert!"

"Yes, sir!" Gilbert immediately opens the door without hesitation and wait for instruction.

"Find out who is trying to manipulate my daughter. She lied while showing me her power without using any help from a spirit."

"Right away!"

Harry furrowed his eyebrow. No such existence would allow beings to gain power other than spirits. He turns to the mechanism that placed near his table.

'Wind'

The mechanism immediately lit up, clear as a day. Harry cancel his power and sigh. It is the mechanism that he had placed on his lap to judge what rank of a spirit did his daughter has contracted but it didn't light up at all.

'It's not a mistake then. Someone is using Ava to do their bidding.'

Ava put the ink pen she's holding down and proceeds to slap both of her cheeks. Sneakily walks out of her room. Fortunate for Ava, most of the servants within the household tends to stay clear of her room. Thus she can freely roam, and no one would know of her location.

Dress as ordinary folk that she has gotten from her brother Thomas to help her sneak out in order to accompany him out. Ava slings her small bag consist of a few pairs of clothing, and the remaining amount of gold left with her. Nervousness and excitement accompany her as she slowly moves from one end to another.

It didn't take her long before she gets to the location that she needs to be to get away from the household without being seen.

Ava turns around in search of anyone her surrounding. Upon seeing no one, she is about to scold Connor for playing a prank on her.

[It's Karen, she's hiding twenty meters behind you.]

"Huh? You serious?" Ava is dumbfounded when she is told to climb a three-meter fence which has a sharp pointed blade at the top of it.

Ava looks out to the horizon and closes her eyes. As she envisions herself disappearing and appearing to the location. Light particles appear around her body. Ava body slowly turns translucent and finally vanishing into nothingness. She then blinked near the position that she wants.

Connor too is dragged out with Ava. Before he knows it, he is right beside Ava.

"..." Ava observes her surrounding, after a few seconds, she started running towards the nearest tavern.

'Nature, I am not sure if you can hear me. If you do please create some tracks to misled my whereabouts.'

Ava didn't expect any replies from the nature around her hence she accidentally falls while planting her face to the ground.

'She might be broken.' Connor is struck speechless seeing a young lady bowing to no one in front of her.

"Where's that bitch going? She rarely goes out of her room during nighttime." Karen got out from her room.

|Karen, Ava is taking the route out to the back of the house.|

"Thanks, Mileni. Time to see what she got in store for us."

It didn't take long before Karen sees Ava.

"She's trying to sneak out isn't she?"

"Probably spirit of hers."

|Not possible Karen. I do not sense any spirits nearby only the ones above us.|

"..." Karen suddenly remembers the words Harry said to her.

"Shit! Goddamit." Karen started cussing after Ava disappeared from her sight. In a hurry, she ran towards Harry Philips room.
