《The Abandoned Disciple》Chapter 14

Her speech was cut short when suddenly a loud shout could be heard from the town.
Screams of fear could be heard from the inhabitants to the town.
“Xi Bu, have you found that women yet?”
“Not yet elder, but this is a pretty small town, we will find her soon.”
The elder nodded. He scanned the citizens and was shocked to find a majority of them were in the soulless warrior realm. Young or old, it didn’t matter, they were now all considered cultivators.
“Amazing, the lost legacy of an ancient sect is truly astounding. Thankfully we came here first. If any other sect were to obtain this cultivation technique, they would undoubtedly rise to be one of the top sects in the continent!”
His amazement was not unfounded, normal mortals could never dream of breaking through the first realm without the help of a sect. Even regular sect members would take a year or two to breakthrough to this realm.
There were people screaming and crying. The sect members were not soft in their approach and forcibly pressured people into submission.
“We are from the Raging heavens sect! We require your cooperation to find the individual who taught you how to cultivate. After that, we will release you and your town without any further damage!” A youth from the sect spoke.
The citizens of this town all looked at each other and were unsure what to do.
“What do you want to do with Pascal?” a middle age women asked.
“Oh, so her name is Pascal? Well, after we find her we will take her back to our sect. What happens after is none of your concern."
”NO, you just want to hurt granny. Go away!” one of the children bravely shouted at the youth.
The youth smiled and walked towards the child. Without hesitation he drew his sword and sliced down. The child was split perfectly in the middle. His eyes showed more anger than fear, but that was because the sword came too fast and he didn’t have enough time to react.
Instantly, others who saw this cried out. Specifically, the mother of the child, who was now holding both half’s of her son.
Tears welled in the eyes of the citizens but they all gritted their teeth. Pascal had become a part of their lives for many years now. They would not betray her so easily.
The core disciples and the elders of the sect did not even flinch. They were going to kill everyone here anyways. Any person left alive could potentially leak out the technique of the Heavens sunder sect and they were not willing to risk that.

“Wait, wait, I know. The person who taught us this method lives on the top of that hill with her grandson!” A voice came out from one of the lined people.
This person was a wandering cultivator and although he was taught the cultivation method by Pascal, he still cared for his life more.
The hill he referred to was a green hill that over saw the entire town.
All of the people next to the person who exposed the location stared at him with intense hate and anger. However, he looked as if he wasn’t even fazed.
The youth gave him a thanking nod and was just about to head over to that hill when sudden, a shout came from the distance.
“Stop what you are doing! This town is protected by the Thunder Storm Sect!” An elderly lady’s voice was heard from across the town.
All of the elder’s frowned
“The Thunder storm sect…. although they are now an auxiliary branch, they are still a bit troublesome.” The elders all looked at each other.
“Who are you and what your position in the Thunder Storm Sect is!” one of the elders shouted.
They didn’t actually believe her. She was teaching an ancient cultivation technique that any sect would go crazy for. How could it be that the Thunder Storm Sect would allow one of its own to do such a thing?
Pascal was now standing in front of the group of elders.
“I’m the second daughter of the Sect master of the Thunder Storm Sect, Botan Isa. My name is Pascal Isa!”
Everyone stilled, silence was all that remained.
It wasn’t long until laughter erupted amongst the elders.
“Hahaha, that’s the funniest joke I have heard in a long time!”
“Granny, if you are going to use the name of someone from a powerful sect, you should at least do your research first!”
They laughed hysterically
“ah, but that sure does back memories. Her body was like that of a goddess. I will always be thankful to that young master of that ancient clan for giving us the opportunity to enjoy her body.”
Almost all the elders nodded in agreement.
However, their eyes suddenly popped and their jaws dropped at the scene in front of them. Their surrounding was silent, and the people did not move. Not far from the town, a bird was stuck in the air, as if it was frozen mid-flight. The entire town stood still, nothing moved, nothing made a sound.
“DOMAIN!” they all shouted. They tried to escape but they suddenly realized their bodies would not move. Only their mouths, eye’s and brain still functioned.
“I heard you have taken some liberties with my master. I wonder if you would be so kind as to share with me how that came to be.” A person walked through mid-air. His face was calm, and his eyes carried a calming blue colour, yet they were also like that of a demon. A murderous aura shrouded over the elders. Their entire body trembled violently. It was as if every cell in their body was screaming to run away.

Although they screamed no one outside of their group could hear them.
……
“I’m the second daughter of the Sect master of the Thunder Storm Sect, Botan Isa. My name is Pascal Isa!”
Pascal shouted, only to suddenly blink in confusion at the missing people. Before, there were cultivators all over the sky, but now they were all gone. The citizens of the town also confusingly stared at the spots where there were cultivators just a second ago.
“Pascal,” a voice suddenly sounded behind her.
“Uncle Astor, what happened?”
“The protector of the city must have acted.”
“ah, you mean that strong expert you mentioned before?”
“Yes,” he spoke softly. He looked at Pascal with a look of sadness in his eyes. “Pascal, I have an errand to run. Do you mind having dinner by yourself tonight?”
“Oh….ok, please take care.” This was the first time the two were going to be separated and they both had a sense of not wanting to be a part of each other.
However, Relic kept his feelings in check. This attack woke him from his dream like life where he happily spent his days with his master.
He realized his peaceful days were coming to an end because he allowed this cultivation technique to go public.
He had to first deal with the leak of information regarding the cultivation technique of the Heavens sunder sect.
Secondly, it was time to find out how and why his master ended up the way she did. He extracted some information from those elders but he needed confirmation.
Without speaking any further, he waved good bye and shot off towards the Raging Heavens sect.
She stared at the departing figure before turning to the women crying over her lost child. She walked over to the women and tried to comfort her.
……
“Sect master, everyone is dead!” A disciple burst through the door of the sect master’s room and shouted.
“”Dead? What do you mean dead?
“All their jade slips are shattered!”
“Impossible!”
The sect master rushed out of his room and proceeded towards the room which housed the jade slips. Every jade slip represented a life. When one shattered it meant the corresponding person had died.
He saw over a 100 jade slip were shattered and instantly paled.
“Not good!”
Like a flash of light, he raced outside and flew into the sky.
He realized they had made a mistake and had provoked an expert. Although their sect was a top tier sect within their region, it definitely did not mean they could compare to those supreme and ancient sects which control several kingdoms and empires. An elder from such sects could easily destroy a sect like theirs.
“Who is it, who did we provoke!” He muttered to himself as he flew in the sky.
He knew their sect was doomed and decided to just abandon it so that he could live.
However, it was too late
“What’s the hurry?”
A voice echoed into his ear. His hairs stood up in fright and his teeth began to chatter.
He was suddenly enveloped into a blue world which rendered him immobile.
Silence once again permeated the world.
“H-How can a domain be so strong?!” His eyes now blood shot from fear.
“Senior, I’m willing to be your servant! I promise on my life that I will never tell a living soul about the Heaven Sundering sect’s legacy. Please, just spare my life.” He pleaded, though he could not yet see the person who activated this terrifying domain.
“Who else knows about it?” the terrifying voice rang out.
“Just me and the other elders left in the sect everyone else has already died by my lord's strength.”
Relic frowned unhappily. "I can't take any chances.."
Suddenly, mist began to form and congeal into multiple frozen spears that shot at the sect master with incredible speed.
The spears penetrated the sect master's body with ease and left multiple bloody holes in his body.
His eyes popped with disbelief. Not at the fact that he was killed, but at the frozen spears which manifested out of thin air. At his last second before death he understood why this domain was so powerful and why he could not make the most minimal of struggles.
“D..ao…se..ee…ed,” he muttered with his last breath as his body began to freeze and subsequently shatter.
Relic stood there momentarily. The shattered pieces of the body did not remain and evaporated into nothing. No one would be able to tell there was even a struggle was here.
“It’s time to see how my old sect is doing.” He made quick work of the Raging Heavens Sect and then shot towards the destination he was planning to go after returning to this country, the Thunder Storm sect.
