《Souls Hero Academia》Chapter 30: From Zero to a Hundred (5)

Jumping into action, Izuku rolled to the side to dodge an incoming charge from the half-man, half-beast student right in front of him.
‘Not too fast, and pretty straightforward techniques… I’ll wait a bit more before making a move.’ Izuku dodged another attack coming from Jurota, who immediately turned during his charge. Izuku tried to take advantage of the overextension with his leg passing harmlessly through the air before abandoning the idea and jumping back a few feet.
Not a moment later, a giant hand smacked the ground where Izuku stood had he not jumped back.
"Hey, hey! What’s wrong!? Too scared to get hit!?" Immediately, after hearing that mocking voice, Izuku’s eyes twitched. "As expected from a 1-A student!"
‘Great, the moron.’ Izuku wanted to facepalm, but before he could do so, he rolled to the side once more to avoid an attack coming from the air. The ground exploded, sending rubble scattering away from the point of impact. Smoke covered the area like a fog, which soon dissipated a few moments later.
"Don’t mind my classmate, Sir Midoriya. He is a little bit… Unhinged, to say the least."
"I noticed." At least Jurota had the sense to feel shame about his classmate’s display of idiocy combined with arrogance. Although something about his behavior seemed to strike a chord with Izuku.
Shaking his head from the thought, Izuku focused on the raging combat around him. Him versus two people isn’t anything new. He was used to much worse, but said people were sane and intelligent, unlike the hollows that plagued the streets of Lordran.
Taking a sharp intake of air, Izuku dashed forward at speeds rivaling those of one with a speed quirk. Surprised at his sudden push, Jurota slightly panicked and tried to dodge, only to be hampered by his giant body.

A swift kick to the ribs sent the beast man flying to the walls, his figure indenting itself in the concrete.
‘F-fast…’ Jurota couldn’t help but cough slightly at the sudden attack, wincing at the pain his body was currently experiencing. ‘And strong too…’
Luckily for him, his quirk was enough to endure the hit, but that doesn’t mean he would like to get hit with another one.
Meanwhile, Monoma was staring at Izuku with his mouth hung wide open at the strength the unassuming greenette had.
‘A strength-enhancing quirk?’ Monoma narrowed his eyes at Izuku, before another arrogant smirk replaced his previous scowl.
"Well, it seems this 1-A trash has skills after all!" Monoma jumped into action, a grin on his face as his hands enlarged. "How does it feel to have a quirk as strong as you have!?"
Izuku focused his gaze on the speeding blonde, his eyes tracking the giant hands that were about to grab him. Looking for gaps in the charge, Izuku found none unless he wanted to get grabbed rather forcefully.
Jumping away, Izuku backpedaled, only to have his arm caught by a slightly wheezing Jurota.
"Forgive me, Sir Midoriya." Jurota spoke grimly before Izuku caught onto their plan. Trying to get away, Izuku found that he couldn’t budge from the strength holding him down, at least without any lethal force.
‘Unless I want to permanently damage his arms, which I doubt the people here will approve of, I’ll have to tank the hit…’ Izuku mentally sighed and braced himself for a beatdown.
"Where’s the arrogance you have now! 1-A trash!" Monoma’s cry threatened to have Izuku go ahead with breaking Jurota’s limbs, but the flak he would get in the near future would not be worth it, so he stayed his hand.

Once the giant hands grabbed onto his body, Izuku was flung upwards into the air, before getting bitch slapped into the wall.
A resounding boom later, and Izuku was now in the position he subjected Jurota to.
Izuku let out a grunt, the wall gaining a crater the size and shape of his body as he crawled his way out of the crevice.
‘Okay, not that much, but still… Ow…’ Izuku cracked his neck as he focused his eyes on Monoma, who seemed to have a confused look on his face. Not wasting the opportunity, Izuku pounced on the blonde, Jurota struggling to keep up with his movements due to his earlier injury, and smacked him across the face.
Dropping like a sack of potatoes, Monoma conked out with his eyes rolling to the back of his head. Izuku also did not let Jurota’s shock run out, as he also gave Jurota one last kick to the chin, knocking him down as well.
‘Well, that’s that. Time to move.’ Looking to the sky, Izuku saw the laser wall slowly moving inwards, giving him more incentive to move. ‘I wonder how the others are doing?’

Shoto narrowed his eyes at the student in front of him. Clicking his tongue, Shoto unleashed a wave of ice towards the panicking student, instantly turning him into a popsicle. Not a second later, Shoto was at his side, thawing him out.
It would not do good to kill a fellow student on live television.
As he did so, Katsuki was being his usual self.
"DIE!!! DIE!!! DIE YOU DAMN EXTRAS!!!"
Said self was blasting each and every student he sees into oblivion while hurling insults their way. With Izuku’s "Git Gud" words echoing in his mind, a nasty smile crept up on his face as he continued on wreaking havoc on anybody poor-minded enough to fuck with him.
As all of this happened, the spectators on the stands were marveling at the violence the students were giving each other. At home, people watching the event on TV were cheering for their favorite contenders. One of which was a plump woman crying a literal river of tears as she kept on calling her son’s name.
"IZUKU!!!"
The less known the cause of the unexpected flood in their area, the better for the woman.

Time ticked by as the contenders slowly trickled down into the dozens. Only a few more eliminations were left to advance to the next round, and the remaining students would be damned if they didn’t make the cut.
Izuku, however, was chilling in the center, along with the rest of his classmates who had reached that point.
"So, we’re missing eight of us." Momo concluded as her eyes scanned the area with eerie precision.
"So it would seem." Iida nodded with his usual hand-chopping motions. "And the cage is slowly getting smaller."
A few meters away from them, the remainder of class 1-B were also chilling, saving their strength for the next round. They were also missing some of their students, but were otherwise not that disheartened.
As they waited, a loud buzzer grabbed their attention, and all of them turned to look at the source.
With pro hero Midnight winking at them with a sultry gaze, she struck her whip on the ground.
"The first round is over!"

Jokes On You
ON INDEFINITE HIATUS-> It's DEAD, Jim. Dropped. Not trying this anymore. Sorry. Our story revolves around a man stuck perpetually in black and blue humor. He also gets his ass kicked around until he's black and blue. However, he must deal with his earthly and unearthly problems in the same way. He must survive. Even if he's a shell of his former self. This storyline originates in Tekton history and builds around the Main Character, who narrates. He is reluctant with the standards of the Otherworldly as his situation can be humorous at the expense of our Narrator. Do not expect to be pleased, but somewhat entertained. *Profanity Warning* Cover is not made by me nor mine.

The Wild Touch
The world of Delmathar has many conflicts and plots that span over the whole world and even into the war torn oceans. That’s not even taking into account that the world is a candidate in the Realm wars… but that’s a story for another day. Instead we will follow the story of how a goddess’s botched attempt of using a weak earth soul to make powerful Grafter for her mother, ends up empowering an unsuspecting little boy. The boy who is called Nosal Brownwhisker, who happens to be a peaceful little buttonless-shirt loving little Capyban. And as the Brownwhisker family tries to juggle their everyday lives on their monster ranch and hiding little Nosal’s secret, more and more developments keep popping up in the village of Pancreedy that makes life more.. interesting. Author’s notes:This is my first fiction and I understand it will suck. Hopefully you will find it to be enjoyable enough to hang around. There’s not going to be any epic world-ending fights or any stuff like that, just some shenanigans generally with the story progressing very slowly as it changes from many viewpoints. The world of Delmathar may seem funky for now so I will promise a glossary every 15 chapters. The wild touch will be updated at least twice a week, with me having no backlog of chapters. So if I get mobbed at work or get sick I will let you know in my notes on a short chapter. I hope you enjoy, and thank you for the people who support me, give me encouragement and pointers.
