《I, the son of Bloody Mary, have become a king of 6 realms.》The Rise of Edward VII

Mary of England just produced a legitimate son!
This news, which started in London, rattled entire Europe.
Some were delighted, others were furious, but most of them were surprised. Many dilettantes who once again assumed that Queen Mary - who was already 40 - had imaginary pregnancy again or mistook menopause as pregnancy, found themselves dumb.
But none of them were more embarrassed than her husband Felipe II, who assumed that his wife was once again had imaginary pregnancy, was not at her side even when she was going on labor. The people of England were mad at the arrogance of Felipe II for not being at his wife's side even at the moment she gave birth to a prince. Even the Spaniards, who held pride in the loyal Catholic faith, criticized their king for not abiding the minimum requirement of a married couple that Catholic Church ordered.
But the doubtful king didn't visit London to see his son, partly because he didn't love her anymore, but what's more, was that he still thought Mary couldn't produce a child and assumed she took in a baby from outside to steal the crown of the Dutch. So it was not until that a year passed and his child was baptized and the Bishop of Westminster bear witness of Queen Mary's innocence, causing the Vatican to put pressure on Felipe II to visit London to see his son.
Reluctantly, he went to England, met Queen Mary, and held his son - who was already 1 year after birth and had small patches of fuzzy brown hair on his said - smiling slightly. But the baby, who was awkward at the sight of his father whom he had never seen before, pissed at his face, crying loudly.
The furious king said just one word, before deserting his wife's request of staying longer, with his face being red.
"Why, you little brat!"
Before long, citizens of London who heard this news gathered and laughed at the pub. They even composed a song, chanting the peeper baby prince, who pissed at Felipe II. Of course, this song soon caught the attention of Queen Mary and Felipe II, and they forbid this song, decreeing that whoever sings this song will be severely punished.

But this song didn't stop and it spread across entire England and Dutch pubs. Since they were both sick and tired of the Felipe II's arrogance. Also, it clearly showed that many English were not happy with Queen Mary's rule since she took side with Spain and took part in the war, which caused heavy war tax and financial crisis.
So, that winter, Queen Mary's younger sister, impatient Elizabeth who realized she could no longer claim the crown, rebelled against her once more. It was in part that citizens of London didn't stand up for her unlike she fought against Jane Grey and claimed the throne but what was more serious was that most of her army was fighting for Spain - her husband - at France, she disguised as a maid, and fled with her son.
Thus, it was the Catholic Church who took her side so that she could return to London and burn the top rebels to death - except her sister Elizabeth. Since Elizabeth again argued she was a puppet of the rebels, even the Catholic interrogators couldn't burn the Queen's sister - who was also the 2nd successor - to death.
"Go to the convent and never come out."
The tired Queen ordered her sister.
"As you wish, my queen."
Princess Elizabeth once obeyed her sister's order, but it was no doubt that when the Queen dies, she will once again claim the throne and will try to kill her nephew.
Next summer, Calais fell to France, and Felipe II made peace with France under the condition of transferring Calais to France, without a single word to Queen Mary. This meant the 30% tax loss for England, and the kingdom went bankrupt.
Brokenhearted Queen, who was deserted by her husband for nothing, alienated from citizens of London and the Parliament, had only Catholic Church to rely on - for the sake of her son and her own life. But the Church could only provide proper tutor and maid for her son and sometimes delivered her key information of her enemies - although that little help was a great salvation for her.

She tried hard not to become assassinated or not to fall ill since she clearly knew what would happen to her young son when she dies before he becomes an adult. But the old and brokenhearted Queen could not last her life long enough for her brilliant son - who was excellent in studies and sword fight, riding horses but most of all enjoyed reading the Bible, thereby being honored among knights and Catholic priests - even with the love toward her only son.
In 1563, when the prince was 7 years old, the queen fell ill. She once opened her eyes 7days later. It was pneumonia and it was
too late, even for the royal doctor to do something. The Queen Mary, who realized she would soon be dead, patted her crying prince on the head and whispered to him.
"I wished to be with your side till the end, but the Holy Father and Jesus Christ are calling me at the heaven. From now on, Mother Mary will be at your side, and I shall pray for you at heaven."
The little boy answered, crying loudly.
"Don't leave me, mother! I'm too young, how can you leave me!"
But the queen couldn't rise again, and she died next spring. So the prince, given the title Edward VII, now sat on the throne, and cardinal Reginald Pole became regent under the will of Queen Mary. At the coronation, his father, Felipe II, visited London, accompanied by 1,000 Spanish troops, which was a military protest to English protestants.
During the coronation, he asked his son.
"Which country do you rule, young king?"
It was a test to his son since at that time, Dutch rebellion - which broke out due to the ruthless Catholic rule by Spain - was at its height. So he was worried that his little son would also claim the throne of the Dutch.
And the little king answered.
"On behalf of the Holy Father, I'm the ruler of the Kingdom of God!"
Abounding, the young boy showed ambition that he is also Habsburg, who claimed the title - Protector of Faith.
Mad at his words, Felipe II left England with his troops as soon as the coronation was over. And it didn't take long for the Protestants to rescue the imprisoned princess Elizabeth, who was held hostage at the convent, and claimed her as the new Queen of England since their plot to assassinate the young King was stopped in advance.
The Protestant rebels soon took over London and proceeded the coronation of Queen Elizabeth, but the young king soon gathered Catholic feudal lords' reinforcements from across the country. And at the battle of Cornwall, the Protestants lost. Since their legitimacy was weak, they could never gather again, and Elizabeth was once again captured as a prisoner.
The young King, who returned to London, tried to give mercy to her, just like her mother did. But his regent, cardinal Reginald, ordered her to be burned to death. Before she was put to death, the young king asked his young aunt.
"Which country do you rule?"
Elizabeth answered, snorting.
"I am the Queen of England! Fuck antichrist Pope!"
And that was the will of Elizabeth, the female rebel.
9 years later, when the regent council fulfilled its duty with the regent, the young king learned a lot of Kinghood from his regent and showed excellent Catholic faith - which the Catholic monks and priest cheered - he successfully passed adult ceremony, thus became true King of England.

Among other things, a story about growth, grit, and being better than the person you were yesterday. Here's my rambling on why I'm writing Journey West 5000. Journey West 5000 is my crazy ambitious writing project to adapt a classic epic called "Journey to the West" for a global, modern audience. It's a sci-fi story disguised as fantasy, and has some road trip + monster of the week elements (as does the original Journey to the West). No system, definitely no harem, gradual power progression. Hmm, what else can I put here so potential readers know what to expect? My writing style for now is mostly "show don't tell", because I believe that readers don't need to have everything pointed out to them, and that they should be allowed to make up their own minds about characters based on the actions of those characters. I'm also trying to be less long-winded (a weakness pointed out by some friends) in order to write according to something Neil Gaiman said, which is to write as though I'm the one who has to pay for every word, not the reader. This will bring down my chapter word counts, and might drive away potential readers, but I believe there's value in learning to compress and be concise. All chapters posted here will have been edited. Constructive criticism, comments, and feedback would be very much welcome and appreciated. Please, please help point out any typos or grammatical mistakes, I'm striving to minimize those as much as possible. Above all, I hope you enjoy my story.

Starchild
“It’s life’s illusions I recall. I really don’t know life at all.” from the song, Both Sides Now, by Joni Mitchell Starchild is an adventure novel set within an understanding of reality that is rooted in Eastern spiritual traditions. It takes as its starting point experiments in remote viewing that were genuinely undertaken by the American military in the nineteen-nineties under the name of the Stargate Project. It then imagines how a more advanced attempt to weaponise the capabilities of consciousness might have been developed in the present day.The story then explores how Ultimate Reality might respond to such a threat.Deep, elemental forces thus bring together Samantha Martin and Sahadeva Varma, old colleagues from the Stargate Project, to avert the apocalyptic consequences of this military attempt to weaponise consciousness. This fast-paced story spans genres including romance, action, adventure, science fiction and more. Although this story is based on concepts drawn from established spiritual traditions, these have sometimes been extrapolated to the point of very extreme speculation for the needs of an adventure story.Much of the underlying philosophy, however, as explained in the dharma talks given by Samantha Martin, is paraphrased from the guidance of respected spiritual teachers. Scheduling: Starchild is a previously unpublished novel of one hundred thousand words which was serialised in weekly instalments over twenty-five weeks from 15th November 2021 to the 29th April 2022. Each instalment contains five chapters – an average of approximately four thousand words in each instalment.
